OMG they want 6k to dig up 3 bamboo roots!!! bloody hell i would need to remortgage, dont touch them unless you have mega bucks ... and we got charged 100.00 for the pleasure if the quote too!!

I used Japanese Knotweed Ltd's free identification service. I sent a few photos in the evening and was impressed to receive a response by midday the following day. I'm pleased to say the plant I'd found in my garden was not Japanese knotweed, but if it had been, this company would have been my first port of call to get it sorted, as they clearly have excellent customer service.

Very fast response to confirm suspected plant was not an issue

I submitted five photos of the "suspected" dreaded Japanese knotweed. Within 15 minutes I received an answer "NOT Japanese knotweed" PHEW! Brilliant response time, thank you.

We are paying a substantial amount of money for this service, so I expected a professional and reliable approach.

We had a site visit booked for 19 May 2025, which was cancelled at the last minute. We rearranged, made time again, and today the visit has been cancelled again at short notice.

This is not acceptable, especially when customers have to arrange access, leave their own work, and manage their diary around confirmed appointments.

I understand staff sickness and unforeseen issues happen, but when the same customer has already had one appointment cancelled, there should be a proper contingency plan in place.

This has caused wasted time, inconvenience, and disruption to my business day. For the amount being paid, the level of service has fallen well below what I would expect.

I have now asked for this to be escalated as a formal complaint.

I saw a plant with heart shaped leaves and red stems in my back garden.  I was concerned it was Japanese Knotweed. Thankfully I found this service who advised, from the photos I sent, that it was not Japanese Knotweed. I really appreciated their assurance and quick response.

Phoned Japanese Knotweed Ltd re concerns about some suspicious weeds in our garden. Got the answer service and left a message. They rang back promptly.
Was asked by Dan to submit a photo for a review. He was polite and spoke clearly and in a professional manner. We received an email the next day to assure us this was not Japanese Knotweed. This procedure was free which is very pleasing. Would highly recommend this company.

I sent images of suspicious plants to them and they came back very quickly to confirm that these plants were not Japanese Knotweed. What an excellent service.
