I ordered a bag from the official Jerome Dreyfuss website, but it had a small stain. I returned it and ordered a new bag, hoping for better quality, but the suede was poor, so I returned that one too.
DHL confirmed the webshop received both returns at the end of June and the beginning of July.
After the expected refund period passed, I started asking questions. The webshop confirmed one return and repeatedly promised that the refund was processed, but I haven't received the money. They ignored the other return despite my inquiries. They keep sending standard replies saying the money has been wired and don't answer my specific questions about the other bag and why the money isn't there yet. It has been almost a month since they received the returns, and I still don't have my money.
I trusted them because they seem like a high-end brand, but apparently, they don't care about their customers. I can’t find a phone number on their website either.
Since I still haven't received my money back, I will now take legal action to get my refund.
I bought a bright pink suede bag in La Samaritaine ONLY after the sales person assured me that there would not be any color transfer if only I waterproofed the bag. Which I did. Twice. The bag was not cheap. It cost me about 500 Euros. So one would expect impeccable quality and customer service. Yet, not only did I receive misleading purchase advice at La Samaritaine from the Dreyfuss sales representative (I got assured that by waterproofing the bag, its color would not bleed) but also did not receive any after sales service when I brought back the defective bag for servicing. Basically, I was left with a bag that was sold with a color dye defect and a few pieces of advice on how to carefully wear it (i.e. select the clothes that I should wear to avoid any further bleeding...). I was told J. Dreyfuss could not do anything about it although the leather and suede professionals contacted (the Saphir company, a cobbler) diagnosed a clear dye issue and recommended me to return the article to have it fixed or simply replaced.
The customer service of J. Dreyfuss is deplorable. I would definitely stay away from this brand and their bags (to avoid any bleeding on your clothes and vice versa)
This is a story where price and quality do NOT match.
I purchased my LOUIS bag in Paris just one year ago. Unfortunately, the leather has deteriorated significantly in many places, and the edges have completely worn out and are damaged. I decided to visit the store where I originally purchased the bag, as they offer a 2-year claim support. The kind lady at the store agreed with me, took numerous pictures, and assured me that they would get back to me. However, they never did!
Subsequently, I reached out to their main customer support, only to be disappointed as they refused to assist me. They explained that their bags are not meant for daily use. So, if you plan to use your bag on a daily basis, I strongly advise against purchasing this brand, as the quality doesn't hold up to regular use.
