Mis-sold us windows, said they were a certain rating, when they arrived they were different. Went ahead with the fitting because, well, we’d been through enough.
Fitters were ok or so we thought.
We have one handle that was is fitted so close to the edge of the window you cant lock it when its closed.
A year on we are now looking for another window fitter to come and fix our bay window, which lets in an extraordinary amount of breeze and in slight heavier wind actually whistles and grumbles from all parts, making heating our living room virtually impossible in the winter.
We approached them about these issues but they have pretty much ignored us. We ended up getting a discount from them because of the rating issue close to when they were fitted.
Once the job was done they were arrogant rude and not helpful at all.
Avoid! Go with literally anyone else.
Could have been our branch in particular but i doubt it.

What a fantastic team, hard working, amazing quality of work, polite manor of both Kyle and Andy also extremely clean... I would have again if I need anything in the future.The quality of this product is excellent....I would absolutely recommend to anyone thinking of buying from Jewel..

Jewel installed some batteries at our house to compliment existing solar panel array. Their quote was most competitive and they worked with us to find a solution that best suited our budget, usage and existing set up. They answered all of our questions and explained everything very thoroughly, we couldn't be happier.

From start to finish we found the service, fitting and product to be 1st Class.

The fitters that carried out the work were polite, efficient and professional as were the team back in the office.

Andy & Kyle were absolutely brilliant installing 6 new windows and a front door. Turned up and cracked on across two days. Very tidy and super helpful. Really happy with the job.

A quick straightforward installation for a window. David took care to protect the bathroom floor and bathtub when removing the old window and replacing it. He sealed it well and advised to let the sealant cure overnight before using the bath or shower by the window. Really efficient and friendly service. Good quality work. Would use again and recommend.

A minor accidentally smashed windowsill tile but nothing a bit of waterproof sealant won't resolve as David added two trim strips over it so it isn't unsightly. I'll buy some to seal between these strips to protect the outside wall getting damp.

Second stage of completely replacing all eighteen outside windows and three doors of my house.
As per first stage (front windows), all of the work was carried out effectively and quickly. Any questions from me were addressed and resolved easily by Jewel management.
I would recommend that Jewel be considered by anyone contemplating such a task.

Our experience with Jewel has been great from start to finish. Comms have been great, all representatives of the company have been knowledgeable and friendly. On the day of the fit, the two man team Matt and Freddie worked quickly, were very friendly and really tidy. We’d definitely recommend anyone thinking of updating their home to give Jewel a ring.

Edit: I have one good thing to say about this company and that is that Dave in customer care has worked to resolve the following issues, I am grateful for him and his efforts. Jewel have now decided to compensate me for the difficulties I have experienced.

I will attempt to summarise our experience but the list of reasons for the 1 star review is extensive.

- Install was subcontracted to a team who were vocal about being less than happy to be there, didn't have correct lifting device for scaffold, didn't have all necessary materials - rude to me, grumpy, difficult. I had to project manage and problem solve for them all day.

- Had to visit 4 times to install it as they were missing bits (all different people). Install should have taken 1-2 days.

- None of them then checked the system was all connected and working as it should be.

Faults with the system:

- Battery wasn't discharging to system,
- Inverter was incorrectly programmed and nearly over-heated
- CT Clamps on wrong way round
- Wiring was untidy and secured badly at side of house (cable tied to downpipe)
-Eddi was installed visibly damaged and was using grid power
-Zappi EV charger wasn't earthed.

Most of these issues took several visits, head scratching and me making suggestions from online forums myself for them to be resolved and all took MONTHS of chasing. I'm sure I am forgetting others too...

-Jewel blocked my phone number so I couldn't call the office, when I called on 141 or from my husbands phone it let me straight through.

-Scaffolding wasn't struck until I prompted, guys came with what looked like an under-age lad and dropped scaffold poles through my deck, damaging several places, and dropped a handful of poles on the side of our BBQ scratching that, dragging it through our side-walk way and damaging even more of the decking.

- Jewel wouldn't resolve decking for months, refused to pay out compensation, guys who came to do it said they would go get the stuff and then literally disappeared, never came back. We ended up doing it all ourselves with just enough money from Jewel in the end for the boards and a bit of paint which took us, a couple with 2 young kids, over 7 full days of labour.

- Months later our roof started leaking, a roof tile had been cracked and one had slipped completely away from the solar bracket causing significant internal damage which took months to resolve again.

They rarely knew the answers to questions about the system, misinformed me about its capabilities and the limitations of installed products, took months to resolve every issue…

Dave has tried to reassure me that they are working hard to ensure the teams they use are more reliable, knowledgeable and through my bad experience it has lead to them making changes on how they operate. Lets hope thats true and other customers have a better experience than us.

Andy & Kyle took great care installing our windows, window cills & even took a quick look at our sticking front door. Professional crew, installed quicker than expected & left the work areas clean. Can’t ask for more.

What a joke of a company, no wonder they went into liquidation, stay away from this cowboy outfit.

One Installer blamed the weather for the repeated issue I was getting.

Andy & Kyle did a great job of replacing two windows. They managed to negotiate a tight space & teenagers messy bedrooms.

They were bothered helpful and polite and even fixed some roof tiles below the window that had slipped.
I would highly recommend.

We are 18 flats in 3 blocks. Jewel were selected to replace the front and back door on each block as well as a large 1st floor landing window at the rear of each block.

I am not going to say that I would give no stars if I could; the 1 star is deserved solely for the fact that the team on-site for these works were courteous and professional. For the rest: this was a disastrous project. Though eventually we did achieve an adequate outcome.

The problem was the way in which we got there. Following an initial survey in September, 2022 we received and accepted a quote for the works giving us a start date of 19th December, 2022 and a completion of 22nd December, 2022. What actually happened was that the work did not commence until January 2023 and the works were finally completed on 12th March, 2024. So a project that was estimated to take 4 days took 16 months!!!!! This is the date (12th March, 2024) used by Jewel on their 10 Year Warranty certificate.

The main problems:
1. The survey was poor: inappropriate scaffolding was recommended for the large landing windows that were to be installed. This caused the first significant delay
2. The outcome was only “adequate” because our request for a “Like for Like” solution failed because of the survey in several ways:
a) The front door should have opened inwards. It was fitted to open outwards and had to be changed
b) A single lock should have been fitted at eye level but in fact two locks were installed: one at eye level and one at waist level. The latter one had to be taken out and so we are left with a blanking piece over the unnecessary lock at waist level
c) All 6 back doors were provided with the same key: a clear security risk and not a “Like for Like” match
d) There was a significant "snagging list" which took way too long to work through

My conclusion: the survey process is unfit for purpose and Jewel’s supplier and/or supplier management is completely lacking in thoroughness and professionalism. My advice: be very cautious in working with this company and double/triple check what is surveyed and ask for evidence of commitments on dates.

Andy and Kyle were with us over two days to fit 7 windows and french doors. They were very professional, polite and obviously experienced. Their work is too a high standard and we are very happy with the outcome. Overall we can highly recommend Jewel Windows.

After literally months of back and forth with other door companies on door sizing, colour, make and furniture we finally came to Jewel looking for a new front door. I showed them what I wanted and they came up with a design almost identical with the most reasonable price I'd been given. It was ready within 5 weeks, installation was super quick and efficient. We did have an issue where the door was 'sticky' for a few months which they said should loosen up and it didn't, as soon as I complained they came out within a week and fixed it so it opens and closes perfectly now. 10/10 would recommend.
