Jo made me feel beautiful and important. She made me feel so very special.
When I went to see the pictures she actually and literally took my breath away.

Johanna is such a fantastic person and amazing artist. I was a little apprehensive about having a boudoir shoot as I had felt like I didn't know who I was anymore. struggling with perimenopause, teenagers and a toddler had really given identity issues.
Jo is so down to earth and really understands you. Listens and encourages you to have fun with the whole process, before the shoot and after.
I am blown away with my photographs and I don't think my husband will quite play his guitar in the same way again😉

I highly recommend the services. Johanna is amazing. She has a great eye, and will take her time making the best of the pictures. She is also super encouraging and very warm. I felt confident from the first second we met online, and had all the freedom in the world to do what I needed to do to feel safe and comfortable. And the pictures are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, worth every minute and every penny.

I cannot thank Jo enough for what she has done for me. A few weeks before my boudoir shoot, I had a total wobble. It was such a huge step after a big weight loss, and I’d stopped seeing anything good when I looked in the mirror. Within minutes of reaching out on WhatsApp, Jo replied with reassurance and my worries went away.
On the day of the shoot, I was nervous all over again, but the moment I was handed over to the wonderful Lucy for hair and make-up, the magic began. They both made me feel safe, supported, and genuinely special.
Then came the lead-up to the reveal… cue another wobble. I kept thinking, “How on earth could she make that look pretty?” But the reveal absolutely floored me. Jo didn’t just take beautiful photographs — she gave me back a version of myself I thought I’d lost. She helped me see myself with a fresh pair of eyes, to accept what I’d been ignoring, to see past the flaws, and to smile at images of myself in a way I haven't for many years.
This experience has been transformative. Jo is an artist, a confidence whisperer, and someone who truly sees you and makes you feel like you've always known her and she has always known you. If you're even remotely considering a shoot, do it. You’ll leave with more than photographs — you’ll leave with a renewed sense of yourself.

Jo is magical!!!!! As a returning client I went in knowing roughly what to expect but Jo blew me away! Her endless ideas for poses and how she puts you at ease are incredible. When you enter the studio you immediately feel at home. I walked through the door excited and left feeling like a queen! I don't think I've stopped floating yet. And the work Rachel did with my shots was phenomenal. I can't wait to come back again!!! Thank you ladies!!!

I entered a competition after losing 6.5 stone and not feeling comfortable in my new body. I couldn't believe I'd won when I got the email. Jo arranged a phone call with myself and did everything possible to make me feel comfortable. I had been for one other boudoir photo shoot to find the photographer to be a man and after some bad life experience I found the last shoot nerve racking and scary. Jo however was the complete opposite she listened to everything I had to say and made my shoot exactly the way I wanted it to be. I have come away loving my photos and seeing myself through my husband's eyes. And realised I do love myself and my body along the way. Jo was always reassuring throughout the shoot, there were many laughs and I forgot how little I was wearing and my character really shows in my photos. Jo needs awards for the way she made me and I know many others would feel, leaving her studio. So talented and such a kind, supportive lady too.

A must for any and every woman
I entered an online competition one evening when I was feeling down and amazingly won an empowerment photo shoot. I was excited but mostly nervous… I needn't have been. Johanna excels in being present for the whole experience. From the initial meeting stage where she listened and planned the whole thing to make it personal for me, (even to the extent of allowing me to bring my pet snake Monty to be a live prop!) Through giving advice and ideas on what to wear and other props to bring, all the while being a message away to ease any last minute panic and fears.

Then it comes to the shoot itself. It was an unbelievable and, as the name says, empowering experience. The makeover makes you feel like a star then Johanna is in charge and the fun begins. It was so light hearted and relaxed that at no point did I feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. Although I won the shoot so therefore wasn't paying for the studio time I was still given 100% of time and dedication. I left feeling unstoppable…

The reveal was more of the same. I was more nervous about this part than the shoot itself but again Johanna was there easing fears and making it fun. Choosing from the many outstanding photos was a challenge but there was no pressure or feelings of being rushed, just light heartedness and laughter.

This experience, which came days after the break down of a long term relationship, has kick-started me to begin my new life journey with a fresh confidence and enabled me to start to love my body again, lumps, bumps and all. Thank you Johanna. I will treasure my collection for all time ❤️

Wow, what an experience! This was well out of my comfort zone, but Jo was great. She showed me exactly what to do, and we had a great laugh throughout! I was completely speechless at my reveal session - I took them all!! I can't stop looking at them, I can't believe it's really me! Thank you so much for such a beautiful collection of photo's! ❤️

I can’t tell you how nervous I was when I first walked through the door but Jo instantly made me feel comfortable. We chatted through what I wanted to gain for the shoot and Jo delivered that and much more.

Boudoir Shoot? What can I say - wow! Actually wow! wow! wow!
I am a 58 year old woman who is confident in most aspects of my life apart from my “mum bod”. I am hugely proud to be a mother and would not change my body to be otherwise, but Johanna Elizabeth set the record straight - my mum bod is beautiful.
I was extremely nervous and felt a little silly that at my age I should wish to look amazing and desirable by putting my body out there in print.
Johanna Elizabeth is a hugely talented photographer and Gemma is a magician in makeup, between the two of them they made my journey totally unforgettable, beautiful, amazing, fantastic and that all important word, empowered.
Reveal day, oh so nervous, why? I have no idea! Johanna is the most empathetic lady I have ever known, I sat there in front of the big screen and was in awe.

How do I even begin! Jo is an absolute professional and incredibly wonderfully. She took me through the whole process point by point with answers to any question you could ever have, so friendly and approachable putting you at ease immediately and keeping you there the whole time. Then finally te photos are so ridiculously stunning, and made me feel more confident and happy within myself. Would 110% recommend!

Amazing experience! Johanna is a dream to work with. Never thought I’d be comfortable practically naked infront of a stranger! But she guided me to the right positions and helped me relax. Bent me like a pretzel but the photos are 11/10!! With such amazing skill!

If you're thinking of doing this, just do it! I never had much desire for myself but getting older makes me realise how young I still am. I wanted a shoot to remember and boy, will I remember this. Jo makes you super comfortable and is super easy to work with. Not to mention, she does competitions that you can win your pamper and glam photo shoot. My photos are top quality too! Thank you a million times over!

What an experience! Wow! I can’t thank Johanna enough for the experience and the photos. From start to finish the process has been warm, friendly, personalised and I’ve felt so relaxed. Absolutely fantastic! Jo is a very kind and patient person and explained the full process from start to end, what she needs from me and what I needed to bring/do beforehand! The whole day ended up being so much fun after having a bit of a nervous blip on the way in!

Lucy who was booked in done an absolutely fantastic job on my hair and makeup, I looked like a whole new person, and she was pretty!

Once we got started with the shoot the day just went by so fast, it was a lot of fun and laughs and the following week to see photos at the reveal were astounding! Honestly it didn't even look like me, Jo and the team have worked some sort of miracle to get me to see my for myself how I am, and not how I normally see myself in pics/the mirror, and I got to say that she's a beautiful woman! Me, yes!

I would absolutely recommend anyone to book in a studio session with Jo, as her Instagram says it doesn't have to just be boudoir! It is most definitely empowering, as I'm sure like me you don't see yourself in a good light, always got these body niggles and self esteem is always shot down, after being at this shoot, I'm definitely much kinder to myself and keep looking through my gallery to remind myself I am beautiful, I am!

for a while i have been thinking about getting some professional photos done as I've struggled with confidence as a trans woman and wanted to have something to see and display that i could look at and see myself as how i feel, without looking back in the mirror and picking holes that this body part or that body part looks masculine or not quite right. then I saw an ad on Instagram for female empowerment photographs done by Jo and decided to reach out and enquire.

I was nervous about booking initially as I was worried if she would be willing to work with someone like me (in the current landscape surrounding trans women can you blame me?) and discovered that all my worries were unnecessary and I felt accepted and looked after from the initial consultation to walking in and getting my makeup done by Lucy and my photos done by Jo it was a immensely affirming and amazing experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat, you don't need to worry about how to pose or stand as jo does so much so you can get the perfect photos.

and when I walked into my reveal me session i was blown away by how they came out, I didn't see myself as trans in the photos and just saw myself looking like the woman I feel like and have become, so much so that as we went through them to decide what ones would stay in the final collection I just wanted all of them.

I could not have asked for a better experience then the one I have received and Jo and her team are so inclusive and amazing I cannot recommend them enough
