Merv is an absolute gem of a human being. His creative skills are off the charts, but he's not just a creative talent - he's got an innate way of making you feel like you've instantly made a friend and found a safe space to be brave. The whole process, from initial chat, to receiving my final images, has been easy, trusting and professional. I can't wait to get the hard copies of the photos I've chosen. It's not just a photo shoot, it's been a life affirming journey.

Mervyn has a great energy about him that makes you trust him instantaneously. I stumbled across the website by accident, and didn’t really know what to expect. It turned out to be much more than a photoshoot a learning experience about myself. Can’t recommend this enough!

A lifechanging experience - this is more than just a photoshoot. The shoot and photos are incredible, but it's Merv's insight, care, attention and coaching are what stands this experience apart as something special. This isn't just about looking good, it's deeper and more transformative. And whilst the shoot itself might be just one day, the effects are long reaching and rich.

Mervyn did such an incredible job. I felt so comfortable and so beautiful, he was incredibly respectful of what I wanted to do and leaving the room when I changed. It is hard to be this comfortable in such a vulnerable state with someone you don’t know very well, but Mervyn was genuinely perfect. My pictures came out incredible. I feel confident and beautiful and like I absolutely want to do these again. I couldn’t recommend Mervyn more!

This experience was the best decision I have ever made. The entire process from start to finish was amazing. Merv was so friendly and professional, he really helped me feel comfortable from the very beginning but especially on the day of the shoot. The photos were amazing and the products I ordered are such an amazing quality. I have felt so much more confident in my day to day life all thanks to Merv and his brilliant photography.

I just did my second body confidence photoshoot with Merv, and it was just as incredible as the first! From the moment I arrive, Merv makes me feel completely welcome and at ease. The little chats we have before, during, and after the shoot create such a warm, friendly atmosphere that turns what could be an intimidating experience into something genuinely fun and enjoyable.

Merv has a real gift for making you feel comfortable in your own skin, and that confidence shines through in the final results. The photos are absolutely amazing! I couldn't be happier with how they turned out.

I had my photoshoot with Merv last month... prior to the shoot, I was all about the photos... but it turns out, I missed a very important detail - which is the fact that the photoshoot itself is what gives you the confidence, more than the photo reveal! I was in the mindset of, the shoot is something I had to do, to look at my photos, which will build my confidence. In fact, it was the photoshoot that gave me the confidence, more than the photos (which is unexpected) - although, I LOVE my photos too! Merv captured them beautifully!!

I honestly can't recommend Merv enough. The photoshoot was so much fun, Merv is so good at making you feel comfortable. My girlfriends were all a bit wary of me having some random dude off the internet take pictures of me in my underwear, but when I showed them his website/Instagram, they all got it. He is super professional and ridiculously good at what he does. The photos are beautiful and the whole experience has genuinely made me feel differently about my body, and I don't focus so much on 'hang ups'.
The entire experience was resoundingly positive, and I would recommend any woman to do this. I honestly don't think it's possible to regret it.

I randomly stumbled upon a TED Talk about a boudoir photographer in Canada when it hit me: I need to do this. Especially as I never truly appreciated my body in my 20s, I don’t exactly love it in my 40s, but I know I’ll miss this 40 something body in my 60s. So I thought why not embrace it now? That’s when I Googled and found You at Yours and Merv. At first, I thought, Oh, it’s a guy… the more I learnt about Merv, his work and style, the more I knew I’d found my person.

I loved the language on his website, his social media felt like art, and everything about him clicked with me. I didn’t even look at another website, within one hour of seeing that TED Talk and finding Merv, I filled out the form. The very next day, he called and everything I felt from viewing his platform to speaking him, I knew I found the right person.

When the day arrived - the OMG I’m really doing this moment. Merv had such a calm, warm way about him. Once I let go of my own discomfort, I felt completely at ease. After the first outfit change, I totally forgot I was standing in my underwear with a man I spoke to once and met 30minutes prior. I only ever felt - safe, seen, heard and comfortable in his presence, my words will never be enough to express how thankful I am to his platform and what Merv has created.

Then came the photo reveal day!!! Seeing all my images in one place instantly took me back to that shoot. At first, it was easy to be critical, once I moved past that, I saw genuine, beautiful love staring back at me. I saw so many proud moments for myself: the woman who showed up for herself on that day, and who will continue to show up for herself.

This experience is right up there with the most important thing I’ve ever done. I left that day having fallen in love with myself. My body is a gift, and now I see it that way. In the lead-up to the shoot, I bought beautiful lingerie for me and I’ll keep doing that, because what better way to show yourself love?

Merv’s platform is incredible, everything is organised in a client portal, so there’s no confusion, no unanswered questions only a smooth, empowering experience from start to finish.

Merv is a rare gift this world needs more of. An unforgettable priceless experience and the most beautiful gift I’ve ever given myself.

I'm writing this before I receive my final pictures and I cannot wait! Merv was wonderful at making me feel at ease within the shoot itself. I showed up with my worries and anxiety and he helped me move through the shoot in a way that let me build confidence without overstepping.
I honestly had a mini panic after the shoot and before I saw the picture reveal two weeks later as I couldn't believe what I had done but, seeing the photos at the reveal was an amazing experience! I appreciate my body in a whole new way and will be getting a poster print for my wall!
Merv is very good at communicating both about the professional business aspects and checking in on the person to person emotional side. One or two times his emails didn't get through but, this was easily resolved by reaching out to him.
Already looking forward to doing another shoot!

Like most women thinking about doing a naked or boudoir shoot I was apprehensive about finding the right person to trust. I don’t write reviews often but if I can help reassure someone else to book in with Merv, then it’s time well spent! Merv went above and beyond to make the whole experience meaningful, relaxing and enjoyable. Not only is he a fantastic photographer but his approach to boosting confidence ans creating a safe space is world class. I couldn’t imagine anyone creating a better experience. You will leave having explored something different in who you are and with a new appreciation for your body! I honestly can’t wait to do another!

Merv is incredible. Not only is he an immensely talented photographer, he also has a unique ability to see you for you. He helped me realise things about myself I didn’t know. It’s a hugely impactful experience, like therapy and being empowered all in one. He helped me to focus on what I feel rather than what I see. My few hours with him unleashed a new me. A confident woman, who is kinder to herself. Who allows herself to shine.

Never in a million years would I have thought I would be able to get my kit off in front of a camera but I did it. And now I feel like I could achieve anything.

Please, please consider having a session with Merv. He is incredible, it’s honestly not about the photos. It was a life changing experience that I would recommend to anyone.

I wish I could give more than 5*, because honestly, it was incredible, and one of the best things I've ever done in my nearly 30 years of living. Whilst you may be dancing with your edges in booking and doing this shoot, I highly recommend you give in completely and go there. Merv will hold you throughout and provide layers of safety that ensure you push your own boundaries as much as you wish to. This is an opportunity to rewrite and reimagine what your relationship with your body could look like. To reclaim it as yours, as art, as this phenomenal vessel that gets to breathe and exist in this world. You will be so proud of yourself for doing this, honestly. If you're considering this shoot, on the cusp of booking it, take this as your sign to do it. You won't regret it, I promise you.

Last year, I turned 30, and having quietly followed Merv for a while, I decided to gift myself a confidence shoot. If you’re open to it, there’s a certain magic that unfolds when you work with Merv. This isn’t a quick fix for body insecurities or past struggles but rather a safe, empowering space where you can show up as yourself. As someone who often feels like they have countless mental tabs open, the experience allowed me to let go of everything else and focus entirely on myself.

Merv is a truly genuine soul who embodies his mission to help people celebrate themselves. His encouragement felt sincere and heartfelt – not just something he says as part of the job.

Merv and his team are, simply put, good eggs. If you’re ready to discover new layers of yourself, I can’t recommend this experience enough.

Absolute recommendation!

Merv and the team made this the most easiest and enjoyable experience ever. Constantly sending emails checking in with me, reassuring me that nerves were natural before the shoot and giving me pointers as to what I might like to wear, but never pushing me out of my comfort zone.

The day of the shoot I was really nervous, but Merv sat and had a coffee with me, and I suddenly felt so at ease. During the shoot, Merv couldn’t have been a better guide. We discussed what outfit I should wear first, and he gave me a few poses to try to begin with, but then just let me go with what I felt natural and comfortable. I really felt that throughout the shoot, I was in a safe space and could let go of every negative thought I was having, and just focus on being unapologetically me. Merv gave me nothing but encouragement, and I felt truly empowered during the shoot.

A few weeks later, I saw my photos that Merv had taken and I cried. He had managed to capture me in a way that I had never seen myself, I looked amazing, I looked powerful. This was the most empowering, emotional and best experience I have ever done, and I urge you to just go ahead and book a shoot. I would never have discovered this new found confidence if it wasn’t for Merv and the team. 5⭐️ experience.

Having listened to loads of the testimonials, I knew this would be an incredible experience.

Merv is fun, kind and so talented at what he does. Yes - there were still nerves but he supported me gently to step into my own.

Looking at the photos now, I see a version of myself I never thought I’d see: strong (and boy are my legs strong), beautiful, and unapologetically me.

This experience didn’t just capture my image (which are blooming beautiful can I just say 😌) it entirely changed how I feel about myself.

I left that space with a renewed sense of confidence that I will carry with me every day.
