Avoid At All Costs
My experience with Junction 17 has been nothing short of a nightmare.
I purchased a vehicle from them which was represented as being in excellent mechanical condition. Within days of taking ownership, the vehicle developed serious faults, including overheating and repeatedly entering limp mode. While visiting family, I found myself stranded 180 miles from home. After contacting Junction 17 for help, I was told there was nothing to worry about and that the vehicle was safe to drive. I was forced to crawl home at 30mph in a vehicle that was later deemed unfit for sale and road use.
After being instructed by Junction 17 to obtain an independent diagnosis at my own expense, a specialist identified major mechanical faults and estimated repair costs of between £5,000 and £6,000. Juction 17 said they would take the vehicle back for repairs which I later found out they made no attempt at fixing it as the vehicle came back to me with the same issues!
The vehicle was eventually inspected by an independent engineer appointed by the finance company. They found the vehicle was not mechanically fit for sale or road use. The finance agreement was cancelled by the finance company, and all payments and my deposit were refunded for the vehicle purchased.
Unfortunately, that was not the end of the matter. Junction 17 had agreed to settle the outstanding finance on my part-exchange vehicle but failed to do so. Months later, I discovered the finance was still active when I attempted to purchase another vehicle and was refused finance as a result. I continued making payments on a vehicle I no longer owned because Junction 17 had not honoured their agreement.
Even after being instructed by the finance company to resolve the matter, Junction 17 failed to act promptly. It ultimately took months and repeated chasing before the finance was finally settled.
When Junction 17 eventually attempted to reimburse me for the finance payments I had made on my trade-in, they couldn't even calculate the correct amount owed. Their figures were inaccurate, failed to include all amounts due, and did not account for additional costs and interest that I had incurred because of their delays. When the errors were pointed out, communication largely stopped.
To make matters worse, there appears to be no effective complaints procedure. I made it clear when my complaint was sent and when they had to issue thier final response. This fell of deaf ears as a final response was never received.
The situation became so difficult that I had no choice but to escalate my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. The Ombudsman upheld my complaint and I was awarded a full refund and additional compensation.
The only silver lining of this whole situation is that Close Brothers Finance are willing to help thier customers and without their assistance, I doubt I would've received any help/refund.
Do not buy anything from this scam company known as Junction 17!

Very disappointing experience with Junction 17 Cars.
Extremely disappointing experience with Junction 17 Cars.
I paid a deposit to reserve a vehicle and was led to believe everything was in place for me to travel and complete the purchase. As I was facing a 4–5 hour journey, I contacted the dealership the day before I was due to collect the car to confirm everything was still on track and to avoid any unnecessary disappointment.
During that conversation, I was told that the member of staff who had taken my deposit had apparently failed to book me in for collection or properly record the arrangement. Despite taking my money, the reservation was not handled correctly, and I was then informed that the vehicle had been sold to someone else.
This was incredibly frustrating. I had done everything asked of me, paid a deposit in good faith, and made arrangements for a lengthy trip, only to discover at the last minute that the car was no longer available due to what appears to have been an internal communication or administrative failure.
To make matters worse, I was told my deposit would be refunded, yet I am still waiting to receive it. Having a car sold from under you after paying a deposit is bad enough, but then having to chase for the return of your own money only adds to the frustration.
The whole experience has been a waste of time and effort and has left me with very little confidence in the way Junction 17 Cars manages reservations and customer communication. If you are considering buying a vehicle from them, I would strongly recommend getting every detail confirmed in writing and not assuming that paying a deposit guarantees the vehicle will be held for you.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Junction 17 Cars

A complete disregard for GDPR and your privacy.
Junction 17 have a complete disregard for the rules surrounding GDPR. Today my wife received a letter from a potential Junction 17 customer who wanted to buy a car that they had acquired from the dealer she had sold it to. He wanted the service history as Junction 17 couldn’t provide it as they didn’t have any. Long story short Junction 17 gave my wife’s name and our address to him which they definitely shouldn’t have. Junction 17 seem to have had a flagrant disregard when it comes to our GDPR concerns. i had a response from them telling me that they ‘ have conducted a legitimate interest assessment which includes the purpose test, the nessecity test and the balancing test and found that we do have a legitimate interest in passing your details to the new buyer. We have also had advice from our legal council who has advised us that we do have a legitimate interest to pass on previous owners details. If you do have any issues, we would suggest contacting the dealer that you sold the car to if you are after some financal compensation. So in summary they are suggesting that they can give any stranger that comes to their showroom any previous owners names and addresses. Oh no you can’t.
I will be seeking legal advice.

Junction 17 Cars - selling my car
Sold my car to Junction 17 after I was contacted by their buyer Nathan Hastings. Great communication, agreed price was paid into my account within 30 mins of Nathan arriving to collect the car. 100% would use them again.
junction 17 cars
I visited today to buy my first car when I arrived i was unsure of what i wanted I was directed to a variety of cars to look at by tom (sales man) who helped me pick the car i left with today. i am now ready for the road in my brand new car .I am really pleased with my experience at junction 17 cars.
4 x 4 disco sport
we purchased a 4 x 4 at junction 17 cars, and in the time we have had it we have had nothing but problems. things repaired under warranty were repaired at a sub standard, the after care team are not responsive and the whole episode has been a traumatic experience for us and our 4 children. when you pay £15k for a vehicle you expect something that is not made of glass, supplied by a reputable and trustworthy dealership who listen to their customers and deal with the issues safely, promptly and with little fuss. Getting someone to reply to an email is hard enough
let alone anything to do with complaints. They are very smooth and considerate when selling a car, especially through finance, but once it leaves them they wash their hands of their responsibilities. we are now having to get the financial ombudsman to sort the issue as we have well and truly been ripped off. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Mixed review
* (edit) I originally gave this a 1-star review, but I have edited it to 3 stars thanks to their customer support team (specifically Jamie). She reached out and tried her best to resolve the original problem, such as the insurance payment and more. While there was not much to be done, she was open and honest about the situation, which I appreciated, and she provided clarity around concerns that were not previously made clear. I'm happy to see that at least one department is working exactly as it should.
Not a great experience at first. I called to purchase a car and was passed through to a salesperson—I will not mention their name out of decency—but they were clearly inexperienced, and their use of language over text was unprofessional.
Everything regarding the car, price, and pick-up time had been agreed upon via email and WhatsApp. I was ready to pay in full, but each time I called after the fact (over 2.5 weeks) they gave me excuses, claiming the car was in for a service or a new battery. Eventually, I diverted my call to the help desk; they promised a callback from the sales team, which never happened. Five days before the scheduled pick-up, they informed me that the owner had taken the car off the market and it was no longer available.
A couple of points here: while I appreciate this was a third-party sale and it was in the owners right to pull the car, it was clear they were stalling me, which wasted my time as I had already purchased insurance for the vehicle (legal requirement) and had written confirmation of the sale, thus costing me additional fees.
Very happy
Great staff, very willing to help and are very patient with me while I worked on getting insurance for my car. The car I brought it’s exactly what I was looking for.

Initially it was positive with good communication, however on arrival the hospitality was very poor, travelled nearly 4 hours to the garage and not offered a drink. The car was handed over and only had 6 mile range! I drove to the petrol station to then find mud all in and around the fuel cap! Bit disappointing when you pay a significant amount of money!
The car was purchased
The car was purchased, and the service up until the sale date was okay, but when they were supposed to return my substantial deposit, they stopped responding to emails and aren't answering messages. Two weeks have passed, and I still haven't received my money, even though I was assured it would be in two days. I'm reporting the matter to the appropriate authorities on Tuesday.

Sent a vehicle in to be sold then get a list of things that need doing to the vehicle before they’ll sell it so I went to collect the vehicle back and said where’s the list and show me on the vehicle to which some of the list was absolute BS they said the DRL’s weren’t working when they were absolutely fine etc. we agreed in person a deal and they sold the vehicle for me then waited a month for payment as per contract and nothing it took another week of constant calls to actually get my money which is shocking. If your buying or selling you’ll get a msg or call within 10 mins if you’re complaining about an issue not a single call or email. Would never use again.
Exceptional service
Sold my Porsche Macan via car wow to Junction 17. The whole process was exceptional. Nathan from Jct17 communicated well and handled the transaction smoothly and very friendly. Overall a great experience
AVOID THIS DEALER, the cars are NOT checked before sale.
AVOID THIS DEALER, they are absolutely disgraceful!
They do NOT check the cars before sale. Bought an X5, it had massive problems so they said they would replace it. After 8 months I found one on their website, they didn't even bother looking. The replacement car has massive faults again. It is now with BMW as they had advised, it won't run and now they are just messing me around. Seems like a lot of customers have the same problems. JUST AVOID JUNCTION 17 CARS unless you want serious problems. It is not worth the pain, go anywhere else but here!!
Not doing paid services
My father in law purchased a Jaguar XJL from here. We took the car for a test drive and decided to check as a many aspects as we can. We found a lot of issues but credit to the team for sorting this all out. The main issue was the ceramic coating. My father in law paid £400+ to get this done. This was not done. We came to collect the car as one of the car salesman said it will be ready by said date and time. Sounds great. We arrive. We waited nearly 2 hours for the car as it wasn’t ready. We go walking around and it is being cleaned whilst we waited. In the end “the job” was done. However we believe it is not or the guy done a terrible job. The swirl marks are horrendous. Water does not run off. I have contacted the after care team, who are clearly not interested as I have been ignored. I have rang 5 times regarding this. Consistently told, we will be in touch soon with a resolution. No one calls. I ring again. Get the same story again. Overall this whole experience is terrible and they cannot admit they were unprepared for us. The cannot admit the job was not done. I’m now going to be contacting other detailers to verify if a ceramic coating was ever applied. Very disheartening by Junction 17. Please do not purchase from here. They have beautiful cars with issues and the aftercare is very shameful. Save yourself the trouble
