Brittle
The resin patio furniture looks nice and cleans nice, but in my experience it does not last. I purchased the Rimini patio chair set just short of 3 years ago and they sit on a covered lanai in Florida and are used for a couple of hours almost every day by adults (the heaviest being 170 pounds. Well, yesterday as I rested my arm on the arm rest I heard a snap and the arm went somewhat slack. A plastic piece that houses the plastic that slides back and forth through the positions had simply crumbled. I contacted KettlerUSA to ask what could be done and they pointed out that the warranty is for two years and since mine broke outside of warranty, nothing would be done. I guess in fairness I never expected anything, but thought for the very expensive price paid for these resin items, they would have wanted to make it good and certainly be more concerned about quality/safety of these chairs. Guess sometimes you really don't get what you pay for. I did enjoy it while it lasted as I thought it was good quality until it wasn't. Ya can't win 'em all!
