Finish is fantastic

Our kitchen has been delivered and we have started fitting out. We are very pleased the kitchen units and finish is fantastic. We have more items on order but over moon so far 👍

Beautiful showroom

Popped into the showroom to get some inspiration and was blown away. The kitchens are beautiful, the staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely be coming back when we’re ready to start the kitchen.

The kitchen has just been finished…

The kitchen has just been finished fitting and we are very pleased with it. Edgar your fitter did a fantastic job extremely profesional and detailed .I would highly recommend the kitchen quality and service we received from design to installation was excellent.

Really really bad experience

Really really bad experience with this company. Avoid as there are lots of other to choose from. Had a kitchen from them in 2017, which went very smoothly but dealt with a different manager. As I needed a new one in a new house we used them again. Disaster from start to finish.
Unhelpful with planning, charged an absolute fortune for a change that we made long before they were delivered (3/12) and when they delivered the kitchen it was literally 'dumped' on our doorstep with no invoice so we could not check the parts. Our builder said he had never dealt with such a bad company. Considering how much money we spent (<30K) the service and help was appalling and I will never use them again. Nor should you!

Excellent experience

I spent months shopping around for a new kitchen, visiting all the mainstream show rooms, having CAD designs drawn up, but all were excessively priced and not what i was wanting. I then came across the kitchen collection website, I decided to do my own CAD design based on their cupboards. I put all the items into a quote and emailed them with a copy of my design and the quote, Sarah picked up my email and responded efficiently, we exchanged a number of emails discussing the design and she gave some insight on what i might be missing. I took a chance and placed my order in January for delivery in March, the communication before and after the sale was brilliant and I’m incredibly pleased with the quality of the units.

Our builders were also very impressed with the quality considering they were almost half the price of other kitchen suppliers.

I would highly recommend ordering through kitchen collections.

Their after sales care is a disgrace…

Their after sales care is a disgrace and the owner who I spoke to on the phone was rude ,arrogant and condescending and basically couldn’t care less about his customer service. I had to constantly phone them to find out what was happening with my replacement doors and then made to feel I should be grateful that they were even changing them at all. The doors came out without hinge holes and the cocky owner said he could drill them himself in about a minute, I’ve been a carpenter 45 years, with a shop fitting city and guilds and even I couldn’t do them in a minute. I had a choice of three different companies to use for my kitchen units and unfortunately made the wrong choice. If you’re looking for a hassle free kitchen experience this is definitely not the company to use. Flash kitchen showroom and shocking attitude to their customers by an owner who unsurprisingly refused to give his name .AVOID THEM !

Horrible experience with this company

Horrible experience with this company. Ordered kitchen a few years ago for delivery and installation by a local fitter. Around 95 percent was delivered, and then it was like pulling teeth to get them to send the rest, to the point where I was communicating directly with their supplier to push it along who was closer to home. One large cupboard was without a side panel for a month in a new kitchen which wasn’t the look we were after. Anyway being mindful of fact that the staff needed to take holidays and weren’t around for xyz reasons (seemed to be a summer job for them) I was asking for things nicely to prevent them totally losing interest as I needed the extras and I was soon realising they were a unprofessional outfit and risked having a half finished kitchen. Eventually got the kitchen fitted and everything was ok to an extent until the laminate started peeling away from most of the cupboards to the point where the wood was exposed and any residue was being absorbed. So I approached them again about this in the hope they had had a customer service brain transplant, but I was out of luck….wear and tear and water damage they said. Ok so moderate use over a 4 or 5 year period and wiping with a cloth is too much for their cupboards. Maybe I should have left them in the packaging to avoid wear and tear! 10 year guarantee means nothing at all clearly. Around a 7k lost for a kitchen that looks worse than the one it replaced that was 25 years old, a lot of inconvenience, a lot of chasing and all around poor service. Wished I’d gone with Howdens at a fraction of the price. Anyway what goes around comes around. Good luck.

Best Kitchen Showroom

Super showroom offers potential customers the opportunity to view a wide range of kitchen and living space designs under one roof . Craig as other reviewers have pointed out is very knowledgeable and not at all pushy especially in respect their "Handmade" offering. Also impressed with the range of kitchen hardware and worktops stocked onsite. If like me you are having trouble making decisions I highly recommend a visit to the new showroom, even for a browse, it is a worthwhile exercise .

Fantastic modern showroom

Fantastic modern showroom with a great range of tiles, homeware and kitchens. Very helpful and friendly staff, Craig was very insightful and knew his stuff. Have just ordered my kitchen cant wait for it to arrive! :)

Dreadful fraudulent company who insist…

Dreadful fraudulent company who insist on keeping a portion of your upfront payment despite not being able to deliver the spec you agreed. I wish I had taken them to court but we all know how difficult and costly this is so you give in and accept your losses.

We bought one of the kitchen story…

We bought one of the kitchen story ranges earlier in the summer from kitchen collection and we are really pleased with it and so was our builder even though he used Howdens he said the quality was loads better .Only comment is could do with a few more fixing screws but all in all a great buy and value.

Sink base unit door too short by 20mm

Kitchen mostly OK except for base unit of Belfast sink unit. Base unit was shipped with door that was 20mm too short. Company claimed that there should be a 20mm filler between top of door and bottom of sink yet none of the website images or the unit line drawings show such a filler. Furthermore the carcass was clearly drilled for the correct size door and then subsequently modified by them before shipping to us, to fit the shorter door; you can clearly see the original hinge fixing holes which they filled with some white filler. At one point in our email exchanges they agreed to supply the correct size door, but have since reneged on such a promise. We are now left with base unit with a 20mm gap between door and sink. Oh, they did supply something that could be cut to be a filler, but this is hardly the point since I wanted a door of the correct size.

BEWARE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

BEWARE! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Terrible, terrible company.
We bought from them because our architect recommended them and we made a huge mistake. Up to the moment of order they seem great, but then they ask for ADVANCED PAYMENT and from that moment onwards, you're facing hell. We are now nearly 5 months and dozens of calls and emails in, and we have still not received all parts of the 2 kitchens we ordered. They have not been answering emails or phone calls, have refused to provide any invoices or receipts for payments done (this includes appliances, hence guarantee problems), or delivery notes, and have sent through kitchen parts in multiple partial deliveries spread out in the last 2 months, most of them with wrong or damaged items (we have, for example, two 5m long packs of un-needed metal rails sitting in my living room which we have no idea how to dispose of, but are still missing the island unit rails which we have never been delivered and we requested in at least 10 different emails. Disgraceful company. Just stay away. Better Howdens, or if you like the kitchens on their website, do yourself a favour and look up on uform's website for their other retailers.

My kitchen is still incomplete and I totally agree with the last review left by Phoebe:

I would have taken them to court too, and opened a formal compailnt that never received an answer. The literally disappeared into thin air.

The coincidence of seeing 2 5 star reviews appear exactly when you are putting in discussion the negative ones with trust pilot makes one think that the positive reviews should be enquired too.

Awful after care and kitchen damaged.

When ordering they were really helpful but since unpacking the kitchen and having our joiner starting to fit it we have found some many issues with the kitchen and getting ignored by them now.

Paid extra for custom paint colour and at least 75% of the doors are chipped in some area. Paid for an custom cupboard for my oven which they've just sent a filler piece for, which isn't even correct size so when cut down will have a raw edge. Rails scratched and damaged. Cupboards doors not straight, I know there is some adjustments within the hinges but joiner says this is more than that. Was advised I didn't need rails for wall units but I do so have had to order and pay for despite it being their mistake telling me I did need them.

They expect you to unpack and inspect every piece on delivery which for me was physically impossible due to them being stacked to fit in garage by delivery driver - who by the way wanted to deliver at 6am. Furthest he would push it back to was 7am which was impossible for me to get my builders here to help unload. Regardless of when it was unpacked half these issues still wouldn't have been apparent until you started fitting it but they are still taking no responsibility.

They have stopped reply to my emails. Asked for photos but then not replied or tried to rectify any issues.

My joiner has been fitting kitchens for years and has never seen anything like it and we will both be advising people to avoid.

Apologies if we have missed any further communication from you but as requested please send through images of any damaged doors or rails and we can look at replacements for you .

Thank you for your email.

We are quite concerned about your comments about the amount of chipped paint on the units and would be grateful if you could send us through some photos .

With regards the other points that you raised.

The doors on the units should just need adjustment at the hinges by your fitter as they sometimes move slightly during transport and cannot be completely lined up until they are in position.

With regards the oven housing , you should have been provided with a 140 x 596 filler panel which is designed to be cut to size to fill this gap.

In terms of the wall units , unfortunately it does require wall rails , and I am sorry that you were provided with incorrect advice. These can be ordered via the website, or I if you wish I could take a repeat payment on your card. One rail is required at a cost of £36.65
Without that information we obviously have no idea what is damaged . Apologies if that was not made clear but please provide that information at your earliest convenience .

Regarding the time frame to check the kitchen we ask for a standard 72hrs which over 25 years has proven to be more than enough time for the majority of customers to check for any damages. if a customer needs more time for any specific reason we would always try and accommodate by contacting our suppliers to arrange an extended time to report damages .

At every point we make it very very clear that we ask for the kitchen to be checked within 72hrs the first is literally at the point of order which, as you can see below, is written across the top of your order in Red.

We are unclear why you would not have taken notice of this and raised it as an issue when you received your confirmation .We don’t do this just to be difficult this is stipulated to us by our suppliers who will not supply replacements outside of this time frame for damages. The reason they do this is over a time frame of several weeks with a kitchen often being on a working site damages can occur and the 72hr time frame is to avoid that.

Regardless we feel that we could not make it any clearer for customers of the required time frames for checking and are very transparent on this . This is also not an unusual requirement in our experience with many companies working on a much shorter time frame with some working on the point of delivery itself.

we have also said despite all of this we will still look at replacements for you and request that you send a list through .

All requested damages despite time frame and how the damage occurred have now been replaced
