First Flights with KM Malta Airlines
Our first flight with this airline and decided to go Business Class. We wish to report that we had nothing but first class treatment starting and finishing in the Lounge access. The arrangements and flight were without incidents and ran smoothly. I wish to comment on the meals...they were excellent and as good as any we have had on other airlines. We will recommend flying with you - especially in Business Class

Very very bad service won’t recommend was 2 minutes late and was refused to take my flight and check in was very rude rascist and disrespectful I was refused my refund.and refused my luggage fee refund the app don’t work bad bad service
Awful experience with KM Malta.
At boarding, we were hit with an unexpected extra charge for luggage that we had already paid to check in. The issue stems from their intentionally messy, misleading website, packed with conflicting fare options designed to confuse.
Like most travelers, we assumed an “economy” ticket included a cabin bag – as it does with virtually every airline – only to discover that KM Malta makes you check it in. The only indication of this was hidden in tiny print, buried on a poorly laid-out page full of fine-print traps. At the gate, we saw the same fee being charged to other passengers too, so this is clearly routine.
This was both my first and my last time flying KM Malta. At least budget airlines are upfront about baggage rules. KM Malta’s approach feels deceptive, disrespectful, and exploitative. My advice: stay away from this airline.
The airline KM Malta is not…
The airline KM Malta is not particularly pleasant; they impose a fare of 700 euros for travel from Amsterdam to Malta. This would have cost me a maximum of 280 with air malta.
DO NOT FLY WITH THIS MESS
I’m extremely frustrated with KM MALTA airline. !!!!!! My husband arrived early at Brussels Zaventem Airport for his flight, Despite having a confirmed ticket, only to be told that it was fully booked and since we bought it via an agency they told us that KM MALTA sold more ticket to the agency that the capacity of the plane. On top of that, they issued him a boarding pass with no seat assigned, simply to get him to the gate. They told him to wait while others checked in, and only after that did they inform him that KM Malta might have extra or staff seats available. It was clear they knew there were empty seats, but refused to offer him one.
Then, they rebooked him for a flight the next night, even though earlier flights were still available. When he tried to ask a staff member if anything could be done, she told him it wasn’t his decision, it was the airline’s. That's when I decided to step in and go to the KM Malta desk at Luqa Airport( Since I live in Malta ) to make sure we were treated fairly.
Luckily, I met Clement there, and he was a complete lifesaver. He was professional, calm, knew how to make me cool down directly, and genuinely helpful. He quickly rebooked my husband on the first available flight the next morning , something the Brussels staff should have done from the start.
If I could give Clement a full five stars, I absolutely would. As for KM Malta, they get a rating of less than zero from me. They should take a lesson from Clement in how to properly assist their customers.
Terrible experience with KM Malta
Terrible experience with KM Malta.
We were forced to pay an extra charge at boarding for not checking in our bags. This, despite the fact that we had already PAID for additional luggage. The problem? Their chaotic, deliberately confusing website, filled with a jungle of ticket types designed to mislead passengers.
We were led to believe that our “economy” fare included cabin baggage – as it does with literally every other airline on the planet – only to discover that KM Malta forces you to check it in. Of course, this “detail” was buried once, in tiny print, hidden behind an asterisk on a miserably formatted page where nothing is clear. At the gate, we saw the same surcharge applied to the two passengers in front of us (and undoubtedly many more).
This was my first and DEFINITELY last time with KM Malta. At least established low-cost airlines are upfront with their rules. KM Malta’s tactics are nothing short of deceptive and insulting. Avoid this company at all costs.
Online Check-in not available in Berlin
Appalling

Do not travel with KM Malta !!
Really bad company, I’m currently in a flight Roma - Malta, atm 2 hours delay and nobody is saying anything about the departure hour, we just have to wait in flight, cabin crew doesn’t care about us, 0 voice informations, NADA , we wait we don’t know till when, but that’s KM Malta, welcome ! 👍🏻
I had a really disappointing experience.
I had a really disappointing experience with KM Malta Airlines. Their luggage policy is confusing and inconsistent, I was told different things by different staff, and ended up having to pay extra fees that weren't clearly explained when I booked and completely different on their website. To make things worse, the airport customer service was unhelpful and borderline rude. No one seemed to know what was going on or cared to help. I expected better. Would not fly with them again.
Absolutely disgraceful experience – avoid at all costs.
Flight KM476 from Malta to Paris CDG on August 3rd was, without a doubt, the most appalling airline experience I’ve ever had.
I was arbitrarily forced to check my cabin luggage, even though it fully complied with the airline’s stated rules. No explanation, no flexibility – just rude, hostile staff who clearly couldn’t care less about passengers. The ground personnel in Malta were shockingly aggressive, barking orders with a condescending and arrogant attitude, as if passengers were a nuisance rather than paying customers.
This airline operates with zero respect, zero professionalism, and zero basic human decency. It’s not just bad service – it’s disrespectful, chaotic, and borderline abusive. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy.
Never again. Absolute disgrace.

They are so bad at communication they wouldn't tell us about our delayed luggage how my son's came through but not mine. Avoid them as best as u can because this has ruined part of my holiday and has caused so much stress and anger
Is a really bad airline
Is a really bad airline , I suggest u take other airlines rather km Malta, because our luggage got missing and they did not do anything about it . I will never 👎 take this airline again
Horrible ground staff
Flight from LHR to Malta and back to LHR
Be prepared for long check in Q at any of KM Malta , too slow staff , not even a bottle of 300 ml water on board , you will pay for it , likely you don’t pay for using the plane toilet , more than usual turbulences , ground staff are horrible specially from Malta international airport , booked my ticket included 20 KG cargo bag and 10KG hand bag , my cargo bag was 23KG and I had no hand bag , so I was still within my allowance but the ground staff insisted to charge me €60 extra for having 3KG extra , so I opened my cargo bag and moved some trainers into a carrier bag and get it sorted ✔️, she was so shocked because she couldn’t scam me! They wait you do any mistake to charge you . It’s the only airline goes direct from LHR to Malta so I had limited choice , but I am not happy about this standard .
Appalling staff behaviour and customer care
I checked in on-line for a flight to Malta on 22April. Without asking for an exit seat I had been given 11A. I am fit and mobile. At the airport I checked in again and had a boarding card. A ‘manager’ stopped me and asked how old I was. She said I was too old to sit in an exit row and insisted in changing my seat (to the back). When questioned her as to why, she said there was an airline rule that no one over 60 could sit on an exit seat and she said she would report me to the gate staff as a difficult passenger. At the gate, she then told me the reason I had been moved was because someone wanted to pay for an exit seat. When I boarded the plane, the young lady in ‘my’ seat said that was the one she was offered, she had not asked for it nor paid extra. There were other people in the same row who were over 60. I sent a complaint and although it was acknowledged, I have never received an explanation or apology. Very poor service and customer care.
Paying double not to take your bagage
The ticket prices and what is included is deliberately vage so they can charge you extra when boarding the plane.
We paid extra to take our small carry on bags with us on board but when we got to the plane they made us pay extra to put them in the the hold after all. It feels like a scam.
