The Kobo Libra Colour is the second Kobo eReader I have purchased. So I obviously find Kobo's products very reliable and useful. I am a little disappointed in the faded quality of the colors in the ne... See more

Perfect E-reader
I wanted to read more but have limited space at home so I looked into getting an e-reader. Kindle doesn't deserve my money, but Kobo certainly does. I have been really happy with mine so far and don't really have any complaints. The screen is responsive, the backlight is adjustable and really nice for reading at night without disturbing my wife, and the connection to my public library wonderful. Kobo offers the best e-reader out there without pushing any ads in your face and a wonderfully simple UI that lets me get to reading without any nonsense.

Love my Kobo, hate that I lose all my downloads with every update.
Every update all my pdfs and epubs that I loaded through dropbox or google play disappear. ARC read books, Ao3 downloads, etc... all gone every update.

Read about 15 books a month. Have trouble with my eyes and love being able to increase the font etc. This is my second one and now have audio which I use all the time in the car and often at home.
Kobo - The Gold Standard of eReaders
Kobo is the the only eReader that I have and will purchase in the future. The Gold Standard of eReaders. I'm on my 3rd one. The first I gave away long ago, the second is still working well, with new battery.
This was my first ereader
This was my first ereader! It’s beautiful. I’ve been addicted to uploading books, I have seriously been so happy with it. I even use my phone to upload the books too! Moving the files is so easy.

These are the various time I bought Kobo E-books for myself, & friends. It’s convenient & light to bring out to read anytime everywhere. Thanks 🙏
An eReader That Feels Natural to Use
The Kobo feels natural in my hand and I find the font and layout choices to be mush easier to read than on the Kindle. Easy Libby integration made this an easy choice for me as a regular Libby user.
It was a give my daughter love it
i hate it
i hate it. It appears to be a kindle knock-off with the speed or responsiveness of the kindle. I regret the purchase.

beautifully made
beautifully made, works perfect with my dropbox, and the different lighting settings don’t keep my partner awake when she’s sleeping next to me
Easy order and quick delivery
The website was clear and easy to negotiate, and my Kobo arrived much more quickly than the estimate, and earlier than I expected. The delivery company kept me updated about the tracking.

Everything arrived as I had ordered
Actual people review orders for consistency!
I recently purchased a Kobo Libra Color E-reader to teplace a Kobo Sage that was showing its bumps and dents. In making the purchase, I goofed and selected a cover for a different product. Actual people reviewe my order, intercepted it, and asked if that was what I intended. It wasn't so they saved us both some RMA grief. Well done.
On to the product, I'm a wenior suffereing from winter dry eyes and spring eye allergies. Kobo e-reader accessibility needs review, especially settings and type size changes. Most setup forms are difficult to use. Type is too light and small for easy use. Once a book is set up, reading is a pleasure.
Kobo store searches for product are best done in the web app.
great quality
The screen quality looks really close to a real book! Really simple to use- does exactly what's advertised, nothing more nothing less. It's great
Switch from Kindle to Kobo…
I just switched from Kindle to Kobo Clara and I love it! It's so much easier to borrow library books using OverDrive. And I love not supporting Amazon!
I love my Kobo.
I had been using my previous Kobo for decades, it was time for a new one. I like the touch screen, it's much better than the old rubber button cover thing.
Kobo Color Libra Color Observations
I have a Kindle Colorsoft and now a Kobo Libra Color. I can’t help but compare my ereaders as I use them both. What I love about my Kobo:
1. The aesthetic of it is beautiful
2. The option of using the page turning buttons is a reading game changer.
3. I love how the device feels in my hands.
4. The screen is so much easier to read on. There isn’t a glare, the font looks more like real paper compared to my colorsoft, the spacing between lines is better, and I can just slide my finger up and down to change lighting, and pinch or expand my fingers to change font size, whereas with kindle colorsoft is not as simple and quick.
5. I love how Libby/Overdrive is directly connected to my device.
6. The color is so much prettier on my Kobo Libra Color. I love looking at the book covers. They look beautiful.
7. I love using my stylus to underline, highlight, take notes, and doodle. My colorsoft doesn’t have a stylus/writing option. I had the Kindle Scribe and I didn’t like it. I returned it. The Kobo Libra Color is so much better.
8. I love how the Kobo is formatted and navigating on it is not only easier, but much faster. My Kindle is really slow compared to my Kobo and it’s less than 6 months old.
9. I love that you can add as many kobo books and audiobooks from Kobo Plus at one time as you want. On KU I have a limit of 20 ebooks and have to exchange books to not exceed the 20.
10. The price for the Kobo Plus ebooks and audiobooks subscription is a steal.
Things that could be improved:
1. My Kobo is brand new and doesn’t hold a charge like my Kindle. I can have everything on my kindle to the max and my charge lasts over a month. If I want to stretch my charge on my Kobo, I have to toggle WiFi and bluetooth off, and keep my light on really low. I’m having to charge my Kobo 1-2 times a day, because I’m a heavy reader.
2. When I go into dark mode on my Kobo, there is a good amount of ghosting, and I don’t notice that on my kindle colorsoft.
3. KU is more expensive, but has a larger and more appealing catalogue.
4. I automatically get points on my kindle for buying books, but on Kobo, I have to buy a VIP subscription.
5. I have an audible subscription, and because of that I get a membership discount on all audiobooks, so if I want to purchase an audiobook it’s much cheaper for me to get it from audible than Kobo.
With all of the above being said, I reach for my Kobo more and enjoy the reading experience more on it than my Kindle. I’ve decided to use my Kobo for Kobo Plus ebooks and audiobooks, my book club reads, (I run my own book club and belong to two other book clubs, so I read about 4 book club books a month,) library books, and books that I want to annotate. I will use my audible and library accounts for audiobooks. I will use my Kindle and/or Kindle App for KU ebooks/audiobooks, and books that sync with audible.
