gave the Hotel 6 months notice that we could not make the reservation date because the flights had been cancelled. Asked if we could move to another date when we could arrange new flights but they flately refused to do anything except charge us the full amount.

Looking forward to going next year!

We recently stayed at the Kong Arthur Hotel in Copenhagen and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The location is fantastic, offering convenient access to the city’s main attractions. We also really appreciated the excellent fitness room, reliable internet, cozy hour in the lounge by the fire (where drinks were on offer for free) and a delicious breakfast that set the tone for the day.

The only slight downside was the hotel room itself, which could use a bit of TLC. While it was comfortable, it felt like it could benefit from some updating. Additionally, the soundproofing wasn’t ideal, as we could hear guests moving around in the room above us, which was a bit distracting.

That said, the positives far outweighed the negatives, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others visiting Copenhagen.

A great experience into what the danish culture is like

It was an amazing experience. Magnus went the extra mile to make sure everything was catered for. From the surprise chocolate in my room to the medical equipment needed for reasons.
Health, local, ethical and comfortability is the game when coming here. The main lounge with a fireplace and the artwork around the place makes me wish my living room. Shared the same vibe. The lighting and bar was welcoming and the fact the staff dresses in a casual uniform made the atmosphere even better.
The attractions are easy to get too and the bathrooms are really clean.
If I was going to do an improvement then I would say possibly run a special evening one a week or once day. For example maybe a Rum, Gin or Whisky masterclasses for people staying at the hotel. Or even a open sandwich masterclass.
But everything was great.

Disappointing experience

Unfortunately, a rather disappointing experience.
I got a night in a hotel as a present from my husband to relax and get a full night sleep away from kids. Those of you with small kids will understand the importance and value of such present. :D

However, the room I got was right next to the elevator and I could hear it going up and down Every.Single.Time. The floor creaking right outside the door didn't help either. Not a big deal, but people kept passing by even at 2am so I kept waking up. The "view" from the window, if you can call it like that, was to another roof?
Additionally, the room itself looked outdated and in need of renovation. The bathroom even more so. The shower head holder didn't work, so the only way to take a shower was to hold it with one hand. Again, not the end of the world, but irritating.

Now, to the spa. I had booked an hour in the water temple and upon arrival had to ask if it was noted in the booking reservation. I was called to my room after a couple of minutes and told that I could go to the spa at 17. Perfect. I went downstairs at 17, was given a robe and flipflops and got sent back to my room to take a shower, put my swimming suit and robe on. A bit strange, but ok. Took 15 min back and forth. When I finally got to the spa I was wished a pleasant stay and informed that they close at 18. So I was left with 45 mins instead of an hour I had payed for. I would like to highlight that nobody at any point informed me that it might be a good idea to come a bit in advance to pick up the robe and take a shower to save the time. Again, a detail but at that point all the minor inconveniences started to pile up and affect my stay. But I was looking forward to getting into a jacuzzi, maybe having a drink and enjoying myself. As the thought of a drink crossed my mind I looked around but there was absolutely nobody to ask for it. I was the only guest at the spa, not a single member of staff around and if I wanted help with anything I would have to get out of the tub, wet, cold and go upstairs. It was the last drop, my mood was ruined so I got up and left back to my room.

Throughout my stay not a single person asked if everything was fine, not even during the checkout. It is a normal practice to make sure your guests' stay was fine, but no, not at this hotel.

All in all, a very disappointing experience. For nearly dkk2000 for the stay I definitely expected more. Definitely will not be booking again and will not recommend to others.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel in Copenhagen

We spent four nights in this beautiful boutique hotel. It has easy access to bus and metro rail. Nicely situated in Copenhagen pretty close to major attractions. Staff is superb and very helpful. Only downsides are that it had limited luggage space in the room and no AC. Pluses far outweighed the negatives!

Amazing hotel with superb service

Amazing hotel with superb service. We just used Hotel Kong Arthur (again) to accommodate our out of town conference speakers. The dates were moved twice because of corona and the number of guests changed many times due to changes in travel restrictions. Orshi Papp (the reservation manager) had eternal patience with all these changes and had everything under control along the way. Couldn't be better. I highly recommend approaching this hotel if you need to arrange for a larger crowd to stay in Copenhagen.

Do not book

Booked hotel 3 nights in Denmark for almost £400. Flight cancelled, not allowed into Denmark for less than 6 nights due to COVID and hotel won’t give me my money back or allow any flexibility

Hotel Don’t Care

.....I’d give it less if it was possible. Current Danish government guidelines only permit stays of 6+ nights i.e you won’t be allowed to set foot in the country if your visit is less than this period of time. This chain however, refuses to offer credit notes or refunds to any customer who has booked a stay for less than the permitted time.

We stayed 1 night at Arthur Hotels for …

We stayed 1 night at Arthur Hotels for spa/wellness.

Lets just say it up front...we loved it. Here we will give you the highlights:

- We booked the stay online and followed with emails for questions and booking of massage. The communication was excellent: fast and very useful replies. This feeling of helpfulness from the staff followed us through the whole stay.

- In the afternoon we visited Ni'mat (which is a local spa, which you can book both independently and as a hotel guest). We got a great foot and full-body massage by two sweat masseuses. It relieved us from tensions and we were fully relaxed. Afterwards we prolonged this feeling with a few hours in the Water Tempel (the spa with jacuzzi, steam bath, sauna, refreshing drinks, etc). Highly recommendable.

- In the evening we went out to dine at a restaurant nearby. The hotel staff was very helpful with recommendations and also offered to assist with the booking if we preferred.

- The spatial room had everything we needed. A nice comfortable bed and a nice bathroom.

- Breakfast: If you are looking for a HUGE buffet this is not the place to go, but if you look for really DELICIOUS food this will please your palate. This was just a breakfast after our heart. The coffee was great too.

- Finally, what made our stay really great was the people! They always did all they could to make us feel comfortable and to make our stay as pleasant as possibly. Thank you guys, we appreciated.

We will come again!
