Cruelty to local wildlife

Kwikfit have been made aware, on numerous occasions, of the dangerous netting, on the roof of the Aberystwyth branch. This netting is in disrepair. Kwikfit have a legal duty to ensure that the netting is maintained and checked, on a regular basis. Kwikfit have, again, failed their legal obligations.

Since it was first reported last year, further birds have been caught up, and sadly suffered a long, painful death. Currently there are 5 Gulls trapped in their netting, some are deceased. This was reported 5 days ago to their head office and their CEO. No action has been taken on their part.

I'm absolutely appalled by their lack of care and will never use Kwikfit again.

I used the mobile service and the operative was very thorough and efficient, polite and professional.

Saw an offer on a set of Continental tyres I went ahead and the car was booked in with the Whetstone branch. One would assume Kwikfit has been around for as long as I can remember so what can go wrong in fitting a set of tyres right? Well they badly scored up each and every wheel while removing the old tyres to fit the new ones. A simple job turned into frustration and damage.

I did point this out to the manager who in fairness did take ownership and promised to put this right along with the regional manager. In the end they paid to get all 4 wheels refurbished.

If you have a car with expensive wheels take it to a specialist who will take care and attention over these high street chains who couldn’t care less about their workmanship and damage they may cause.

Went to Kwik fit in courtlands rd, eastbourne today. Fantastic service even though they were run off their feet.

Good, clear website. I had to wait awhile but I think that was due to Kwitfit being so busy. Very competitive price. Other tyre fitters where almost three times the price or would only process my appointment if I needed two or more tyres. Great, professional engineer. Explain what he thought had happened to my tyre. Over all a excellent service.

Having pre-ordered 4 new tyres at almost £900 I was then told on the day of fitting to pay a further £75 for wheel alignment!

Easy booking, great communication throughout, really friendly technician who completed the job efficiently and made the whole process fast and straight forward.

Went with Kwik fit for new tyres on a caravan using one of there mobile fitter as felt safe using a national company. Worst experience ever took three days off work first day they did not show up. Second day waiting in all day for the mobile engineer if that’s what you want to call him said he had no idea on fitting a caravan tyre and that he is not confident and had no training to do. Third time lucky they turn up with tyres with only one year left in before they go out of date. Ended up missing our holiday as taken more then two weeks and still not sorted and to top it off after spending ages on the phone to there call centre getting passed to different departments they need 5 days to refund my money

I have used Kwik Fit Aberystwyth in the past for MOTs and Aircon. I found them a bit slow but OK. However there is an ongoing situation with the netting covering their roof that has been trapping and killing birds for at least two years. It has been raised with them several times by many people and everyone just gets fobbed off with vague hints that they'll look into it. This isn't good enough, and knowingly causing suffering and death to wildlife is illegal. There are plenty of other good garages in Aberystwyth which don't have bird corpses all over the roof and I will be using those instead.

I was really impressed with this. The was regular updates about the time to expect the fitter. The man who came was friendly and determined, my tyre had seized and he worked it all out. The price the service and updates were fantastic. I won't hesitate to use this service again.

Arranged for an air conditioner recharge. Failed because the compressor had gone. Offered a refund or to have it done when compressor replaced and chose refund. Told it would be with me in 3-5 days. 2 weeks later, no sign of the refund. Told by Kwikfit that there was nothing that could be done as it was in the system. Still waiting!

They need up to an hour for one tyre to be changed apparently they are not allowed to just change it first they must inspect all the tyres take pictures then and only then are they allowed to do what the cars booked in for definitely will not use them again

Having read reviews detailing the killing of wildlife on Kwik fit roofs with nets I have emailed the CEO expressing my disgust he should be in court for this

Fitter arrived on time kept informed while work was being carried out

Arrived to try and make a last minute appointment yesterday but they seem to have a lot of trapped dead birds in netting in their roof, not sure what the netting is even for, are birds not even allowed to stand of a roof now? Anyway the people there didn't care, a company with morals like this don't deserve your money, avoid at all costs.

This is for Kwik Fit, up on chapel street, Luton. To say thank you guys for helping us, getting our car moving on again, re - punctured tyre. We got home safe and sound, Well Done. Anyone needing a tyre changed in this area I would definitely recommend them!

I have booked a mobile tyres fitting for Monday as I have 2 flat tyres which need changing. The booking was on Monday from 8am to 8pm, I received a notification that someone will come between 17:47 and 19:47, at 20:21 as nobody came I rang kwik fit to be told that my booking has been cancelled and nobody from kwik fit notified me. I had to cancel an important meeting on Tuesday which costed me an important project.
I have paid extra money to kwik fit to have the booking for Monday.
I think this is a very bad service for an important company as kwik fit.

For anyone who cares about animal welfare, please note that this company has repeatedly caused the death of several wild birds by negligence in maintaining their buildings nettings, and failing to promptly access victims trapped in the pathetic traps/protections. Avoid it at all cost and seek services from more ethical providers. (I can’t find the reply option, so I m replying to your message below here. I already sent a complaint to the address you mentioned to no vail. I have also reported the issue to the police)
