NO CALL NO SHOW for delivery

NO CALL NO SHOW for delivery. Took the day off, moved furniture, shoveled snow all in preparation for a couch delivery that never happened. Couldn't even be bothered to call/text/email me. Shameful! Never again. 100% preventable and inexcusable!

The Lazyboy Bang

I purchased a custom fabric manual swivel rocker recliner that seemed like a great purchase even though it was about 1800. We we got the chair it made a banging noise when it closed. I called support and a tech came out and said its normal. They call it the lazyboy bang. I was never informed of this nor did it do it in the store. I went back to the store to speak to the salesman. No help. Can lazyboy again. This was there answer
The sound you are hearing is normal and is referred to as the La-Z-Boy “bang.” The noise may seem louder than what you experienced in the store because the chair is placed on a wooden floor, which can amplify the sound.

Total bs. Beware of buying a lazyboy manual recliner. If I knew I would have never purchased it.

I bought a sofa and love seat in…

I bought a sofa and love seat in January of 2025 within 6 months the fabric started shedding for lack of a better term. Fuzzy's started to appear on the middle cushion that is used the least. Looks like it’s 10 years old. The love seat has a noticeable bump in the one cushion after about a year. It’s only my wife and me and the furniture isn’t used that much. Very disappointed. I will never buy lazy boy again. The last set I had from a different mfg lasted 10 years.

Purchased a "leather" reclining lazy…

Purchased a "leather" reclining lazy boy sofa for$2969.99 before tax. At staff recommendation purchased Zucora 7 year extended warranty for $259. Sofa cushion peeling between cushions after 4 years. Called Zucora and they tell me this area of sofa is vinyl, so sorry not covered. Called Leons in Barrie Ontario, yup that would be vinyl. Sorry can't help. No where does our billing or information say this is a vinyl and leather sofa. Totally misleading by Leon's staff. Shame on them and totally inferior material by Lazy Boy. Will never never recommend or purchase from them again and definitely do not recommend Zucora Insurance.

La-Z-Boy is the absolute worst company…

La-Z-Boy is the absolute worst company I have ever had to deal with. We bought 2 chairs and a couch for $9500 dollars. The chairs have been popping load since the day we received them. They told me that is how they are supposed to be. They finally picked them up and said they are fixed. They were NOT fixed. I spoke with another lady who was extremely rude. She told me that "me and my wife need to talk more". Very unprofessional! They are going to replace one of the chairs and the other is going back for repair. This has been the worst customer service I have ever seen.

On to the furniture....
The chairs pop and seem very poorly made. The couch we bought cushions are uneven and sink way down when you sit on them and the leather had a bad spot on it. The top grain leather that we paid for had an issue that they finally fixed after a dozen calls and latterly hours one the phone. The couch and chairs both seem to have pour fit and finish. I will not give La-Z-Boy another dime of my money or any other company they own.

La-z-Boy don't care about customer retention

I never thought I would be writing a poor La-Z-Boy review. I always thought they were supposed to be the gold standard. However, their poor business practices are indefensible. We needed a replacement bolt (the one that connects one sectional to another). If you know our model, there is only one possible bolt that would serve this purpose and can't cost more than 10 or 20 cents.

Customer service happily offered to send us the bolt...

After a month or two, we reached out to the Fairfield store to see where our part was, they said we needed to pay $75 for a tech to come out and $125 for labor just to identify the part. They would ship the part later.

After months of back and forth emails (16) and clear descriptions with several clear photographs from various angles and annotations to explain a quintessential piece of hardware that makes their furniture work (no ambiguity left), they still demanded a tech come out, and we cover the cost. I can afford the $200 and have moved on (I rigged up a DIY solution)... But this is a matter of principle and I won't sit silent and put up with businesses that don't have integrity. This approaches Trump-level-shit.

After looping in regional and corporate level slime, it has become clear that short-term revenue from nickel and diming -- would be lifetime customers -- is all a part of the business model. I mean, meeting next quarter's forecast is so much more appealing that long-term customer retention, right?

La-Z-Boy has lost our family's business. I will evangelize this lesson from the highest mount and as loud as I can to all who are willing to listen till the day I die. All for ten cents... and so Taylor Luebke can hit target this quarter.

bought a matching LA-Z-BOY recliner and sofa and got to watch LA-Z-BOY inferior product fall apart.

bought a matching LA-Z-BOY recliner and sofa . Shortly after purchase recliner began to peel. Called LA-Z-BOY we were told sorry material was warrantied for one year so we didn't qualify for warranty work. I asked to speak to her boss was told won't make any difference to whom I speak with...but I insisted. So I was transferred to the next level only to learn she was so right. woman at next level didn't even want to hear my complaint. Told me she has read the transcripts of my first conversation and doesn't see any productive conversations that can be had concerning this complaint sorry and good by. Oh she also told me how unfortunate it was that LA-Z-BOY discontinued the material that was used on our 2 pieces of furniture because that made it impossible to repair even if it was warrantied. My answer to her was it was my belief it was discontinued because they (LA-Z-BOY) knew the material was inferior and more than likely received a good price on it. That's when she hung up on me. My opinion would be for anyone to avoid purchasing anything from LA-Z-BOY their warranties are not backed by the company. And that is a shame

La-Z-Boy quality is not what it used to be. Don’t waste your money.

I purchased a Lazy Boy power rocker recliner two years ago. For the one year I had it it was repaired three times because there was a cheap plastic pin that stopped the chair from rocking when it was reclined. They couldn’t repair it anymore so they decided to replace it with a wall hugger power recliner. I had that almost a year and it started shifting when I reclined. So before I was at a warranty, I had it looked at and the local company was being taken over by corporate so I had to wait. When I finally got it, looked at they ordered parts. These two brackets and they came out and put them in once I receive the parts at home. The parts made the chair, totally unusable. It sits in an angle so you can’t even get up out of it and we go to recline it hangs up pops skips, freezes, totally unusable. So they ordered another part in a few weeks later they came out to put that on. It was the wrong part. It had nothing to do with the mechanism. It was like a leg for the front of the chair. So they ordered more parts. The parts finally came and I called to get a service to get them put on knowing they told me I was priority. Now I have to wait almost 3 weeks for them to come put these parts on. So basically I have an unusable $2000 chair for over six weeks now since they messed it up. I have a feeling the brackets that were put on were wrong because the mechanic had to drill holes where the original brackets were so it didn’t fit exactly like it should. That didn’t seem to be recognized though. I have back issues that I’ve told them about and I really can’t sit in the other furniture I have at the moment. So I’ve been trying to use this chair and I literally have to climb out of it to get up. I can recline the foot part. It comes up either halfway or all the way varies on how well it works. But then I go to recline it and it’s like rumble skips, pops freezes does not fully recline at all can get just a slight recline out of it. Don’t waste over $2000 on a La-Z-Boy chair you’ll probably do better getting just another brand that would be half the price and probably make out about the same if not better. La-Z-Boy is not the quality product it used to be. I’ve had them my whole life, and this is the worst experience I have had with them in the past their products have always held up well. But they don’t anymore. December 29, 2025 was the last time the chair was usable. That’s when they came out and fixed it and put the brackets on. Service on January 13 the wrong parts were delivered so they ordered the correct parts that just arrived now they’re not coming out till February 12. So two months base me with an unusable product.

We bought a leather recliner and fabric…

We bought a leather recliner and fabric sectional about 8 weeks ago and we have been very disappointed in the quality. The back piece of the recliner was cut too large and would not securely attach to the back of the recliner. This should have been caught before it ever shipped as it was clearly an issue the quality control should have caught. One seat on the sectional sofa is “pilling” and looks bad. One of the USB ports was bad and had to be replaced. We paid about $12,000 for the two pieces and would not expect this quad from La-Z-Boy. They are fixing the issues but we don’t know how long we will be without the furniture. Very disappointed and not happy with our purchase.

Total Disappointment

Total Disappointment! We purchased a La-Z- Boy Rocking Recliner and a La-Z-Boy Recliner Loveseat for $8,000. The cushioning is awful. When I sit on the left it slants to the middle, same on the right. The love seat only reclines 45 degrees, not all the way like the recliner. I am so unhappy with this purchase. This furniture is truly uncomfortable compared to what I replaced. Worst purchase I ever made.

lifetime warranty a sham

So La-Z-Boy has a lifetime warranty so they claim. Their lifetime warranty is a sham. Despite their own ads stating how they fixed someone’s chair after “51 years “ they weasel out of it

Their response to my claim (one of the metal bars holding up foot rest snapped in 2)

“The limited lifetime warranty is defined as coverage for the expected life of the product and applies only to defects in materials or manufacturing. Given the age of your unit, it has surpassed its expected product lifespan. Any issues at this point are considered normal wear and tear, which are not covered under the manufacturer's warranty”

So “lifetime” is not lifetime but rather whatever age until it breaks at which point it’s at the end of the life of the product. Lifetime is based on what they believe the product lifespan should be.

Recliner is 20 years old but I paid 10x the price of the cheapest recliner because it was supposed to be a lifetime warranty.

Poorly made furniture

LaZBoy no longer makes good furniture. My couch is awful. It's so uncomfortable nobody wants to sit on it because you can feel the hard springs. I have them come out and they put a 1-in piece of foam rubber on one side of the couch seat. This is a brand new sofa! You shouldn't be doing this kind of stuff. Regardless call me it didn't help so I'm trying to get in touch with them to see if they'll do anything to help me. Otherwise I have just thrown thousands of dollars away.

This has to be the worst purchase

This has to be the worst purchase! When I lean my arms on the sides, my elbows are against wood! Was told it’s the design and nothing they can do! The mechanism under neath does not work well when I recline (hit and miss the footrest goes up) and the seat cushion is crooked! Buyers be aware…there is no more quality built chairs…just junk in disguise! And cannot get your money back nor exchange!

LazyBoy-courage-compassion don’t hunt with quality products

Honestly I worked with the Neoshoe MO & they prided there plant on quality. I was a Site Manager for one of their suppliers. I have only that as a reference so I expected that level of quality and service.
I can tell you how awful it has been, the product delivered is defective and the cost was $10K! Ridiculous, I was trying to reach Daniel Harley this district Sales Manager and I have found it impossible outside of LinkedIn-terrible insulation from the customers! Very disappointing and discouraging that a pillar of quality has degraded to this from my experience as a supplier.

Awful quality

Awful quality, awful customer service. They currently allow a 3 day window on returns. The chair itself makes bad noises when it is reclined. Our 10 year old Lazboy chair is in great working condition. Lazboy quality does not exist anymore. There's a new owner who is just ripping customers off.

I bought a few La-z-boy chairs years…

I bought a few La-z-boy chairs years ago and was very satisfied but the reclining sofa we bought 2 and a half years ago is terrible. Within 6 months the mechanism started grinding on one side. No problem, lifetime warranty. 8 months later same thing. Replaced. 6 months later the other side does the same thing. Replaced. One month ago one side won't come out of reclined position. Electrical problem. Two month wait, still waiting. Just finding out now that Lifetime warranty is only for parts NOT LABOUR (only 2 years). We are in our late 60's so we are not abusing this sofa. This is complete garbage they are selling. Made in USA? Might as well shop from China. What a waste of $4500.
