I can't believe that anyone who's ever actually ordered a Laguiole direct from the forge or purchased from an authorised seller would ever have anything other than a five star experience.

Over the years I've purchased many of your blades, from Ram horn carving sets to a stunning 5000 year old fossilised folding knife. I have parts of the Golden Gate Bridge, elegant cheese blades and many more from your forge..

I just wanted to post here that whilst the hunting knife I've recently received is far from the most expensive I've previously ordered I have to say that it sits in my hand like no other and will be used and enjoyed on camping trips and daily in my garden for many years to come.

Thank you for maintaining your craftsmanship. It truly makes a difference.

Order place on 28 March 2026 order number 12834. Confirmation email received from laguiole on 28 March 2026. Follow-up email sent on 2 April as i had not received any notification about delivery date. it is the 7th of April today and i still have not had a reply, and am still unclear whether anything will arrive.

Recently got a Laguiole knife as a birthday gift. These knives are beautifully made with the finest of materials. Mine was a folding knife with ebony handle and s/s bolsters. It is very well balanced in the hand and a joy to use. The company are very easy to deal with a very fast response to any queries. I would unhesitatingly recommend Laguiole.com as a company.

I made an order before I read reviews on here and got a bit scared.
Richard assured me that they deal with REAL products.
The wine key arrived today and quality is amazing, reviews saying they deal with fakes are not true!

I have purchased a Laguiole cutlery set from Peters of Kensington for my Son as a house warming gift. I first noticed them at a restaurant where my wife and I were dining and was impressed by the design and quality. I have not been disappointed and will definitely purchase additional items from a an obviously great company who take pride in their product.

I recently added a review that was initially negative, albeit about post-sales expereience, but I believe now it was caused by a technical issue preventing the website from accepting my info request. Beyond that, the quality of the products purchased from laguiole.com is really high and worth their price. Once the issue preventing me from contacting me the customer support, the experience was more than the allowed 5 stars here. Sometimes the replies posteh here might show otherwise, but I received 10 times the customer care I was expecting for the value I paid for the product I purchased. I just wanted to set the record straight, and the current correction is caused by outstanding customer support, while there was no attempt to offer any incentives to provide a new review, so my reaction here is unbiased. Hope this helps!

Laguiole.com sent me a defective product and, after offering to replace or repair it, they kept it and did not refund my money.

I am happy to find a place to leave this negative review.

They sent me a defective knife, the blade pressed against the side when closing so it would grind down and chip over time.

After some friendly email conversations with laguiole.com, I sent it back to be fixed or replaced.

The representative at laguiole.com decided that I was rude (I'm not sure why) and he kept my defective knife, did not send a replacement, did not send a refund, and refused to communicate further.

That's fraud and theft.

I will NEVER do business with laguiole.com and I suggest you do not, either.

Note: the knife was from from a French manufacturer, I believe it was Actiforge, with the head of a boar stamped on the blade.

Just thought I would mention that to head off the expected party-line accusation that I bought a Chinese fake or from the manufacturer's website. I did not. Laguiole.com is a store that sells products from a variety of manufacturers, including this one.

Absolutely, positively, most definitely, I purchased this knife from laguiole.com and I communicated with a specific person whose name is in a ton of very bad reviews.

Trustpilot made me remove his name but he is absolutely positively from laguiole.com despite his lies and arguing.

If we and all these others who left negative reviews all had similar experiences receiving defective or incorrect knives and were then subject to a barrage of personal insults and accusations, all know your name, how did we not do business with you, specifically? You know exactly who you are.

I am enjoying watching you squirm now that you are being confronted by so many people you have ripped off. You created your own situation through repeated instances of negative customer experiences.

I have been buying Laguiole knives from laguiole.com for 15 years now. We give the knives as gifts to our employees who have been with us for 5 years. They come promptly, in beautiful packaging and are of the highest quality that Laguiole is known for. We have given over a dozen of these gifts and have never been disappointed.

Did not realise that laguiole was a generic name that any manufacturer can use . I bought sets that fell apart and wrongly assumed the source was laguiole.com ! Only buy from this site ! Thanks for your correction!

Ordered a cheese knife, when it arrived I could tell straight away that quality was lacking! The wood handle was stained and the metal was rough and hadn't been polished. Received a snotty reply to my email but they did replace it in the end. After a few washes part of the fancy decorative metal work fell off!!! Save your money don't buy Laguiole!

Terrible customer service, the worst I have come across. One of my knives snapped (poor quality). I emailed and all they could offer me was a replacement knife that I would have to pay for.

We have just purchased the steak knives, forks, spoons and teaspoons. When we received them, we were so disappointed with the crude quality of the stainless steel and the poor finish that we tried to return them, but Laguiole refused. They advertised these items as a 24-piece presention box, but sent 4 individual boxes. TERRIBLE COMPANY. AVOID!

Absolute shocking! Products do not last five minutes. He does not reply or make any contact after the sale. In essence, he is a total charlatan!

Do not, I repeat do not use this website. He and his products are dog sh@t.

They send you a knife that doesn't look like anything like the one you but from the site. Endless trouble and no response. Last site on the planet I would recommend. Safe yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere.

Do not shop here. Terrible customer service. Buying something isn’t the issue but when you recieve an item that is different from the description the troubles begin. After returning with proof of delivery the silence begins. Despite many emails only 1 answer was given which turned out to be an empty promise. Been chasing my money for 6 now. Guess I have to show up at their door.

I ordered a sommelier from this company on the 2nd July and as of today, 19th August, I am still waiting! Communication with this company results in a standard email reply of it takes time to make the article requested.
Having bought Laguiole products from other French companies this is most probably the poorest that I have had to deal with.
