Don’t buy a Land-rover

Don’t buy a Land-rover. These are SHIT CARS with constant Turbo failure problems and its DPF system failures. Land Rover has a case against them for selling faulty cars and god forbid you ask them for help to resolve their fault problem, they will not help you….I’ve had two cars from Landrover a F Pace jaguar and a landrover discovery sport reg J12 BNK 7 seater for our 5 children…I had the car just over 4 years now and It had constant problems. However I didn’t complain as cars do that sometimes I guess, however when the DPF lights kept coming on I was concerned, booked it into Vertu Land Rover Chesterfield for a service, next day the Turbo blew up the engine with our kids in the car…,they were terrified as the car was smoking and would not turn off. Stranded on the side of the road for 4 hours in cold, until we finally got a the car towed to Land Rover Chesterfield.

They said the Turbo blew and it has ruined the engine and to repair/replace the cost engine is £15,000 to repair..,the car is worth £13,000

I was so confused how can a unserviceable fault of the company Land Rover cost us £15000, So Land Rover has had our car for 7 months now and refuse to fix or sort anything for my family.

Horrible people and company do not buy any cars from Landrover they are faulty as hell and they will not help you if you have problems with there shady products this is why they’re is numerous court cases going on for their faulty Turbo and DPF cars…..I will NEVER buy any car made from Landrover again and recommend people do some research before buying one…JUST DON’T BUY FROM THEM…Audi, Porsche, Mercedes are far better cars to choose from.

YOU’VE BEEN WARNED !!! Google it, DPF and Turbo failures in Land Rovers

Great Aftercare.

On my Fourth Range Rover and can’t fault the aftercare. Landrover assist are outstandingly good, regular telephone calls and updates from the department keeping you informed of driver estimated arrival times.

Harwoods Brighton also very accommodating. Had a problem in the first week of ownership, managed to change the DPF & EGR filter whilst I waited. Cannot fault the service from Landrover or Harwoods.

My 2019 L405 was broken into 3 months ago, back window smashed in, alarm didn't go off. I also pay for incontrol app which monitors any movement or alert me to anyone breaking in, I pay over £200 for this, that didn't work either.

I've called customer service 3 times for an update on my claim. "We have no updates for you". RIDICULOUS

4 month waiting list for repairs

4 month waiting list for repairs, they don't want any car older than 4 years in the garage. DPF needed replaced as the poor engine in the Evoque burns oil and constantly needs topping up. Windscreen leaks like the titanic and needs replaced, Engine failed on Saturday it appears seized and needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Without question the worst vehicle I've owned in 35 years driving, LR are expensive but more expensive to keep on the road, never ever buy a 2nd hand LR unless your loaded and willing to throw away money on repairs due to pathetic engineering and design,

Zero stars would be better as they continue to sell Risk of Crash vechiles. Mine almost killed an Engineer at a government MOT centre when jumped gear and rolled off ramps - JLR response was it's not our fault even though 100k's reports of same issue globally.

TodayCase # 8001344999 (hazardous and dangerous)

Today, 3/1/2024, my car was returned to me after 4 days of being at the Land Rover dealership. The reason for bringing was that the car became disabled completely (not even emergency flashing lights) and it was stuck in the middle lane of the major parkway (northbound I-95 near GWB). The car without lights standing in the middle of the PARKWAY is considered a HAZARD case. No insurance tow service allowed to help you in this situation to come and get you to the safe place except by police tow service. As the car can be hit by upcoming vehicles at any time. After sitting in a dark and cold car for more than three hours, you would like to have some certainty that the experience you had will not happen again. And what explanation I got after the car was returned : "we did not find anything".
Please find a little taste of what that car had previously serviced for.
1. Completely shattered the sunroof (almost 3 months, driving afraid that it will fall in)
2. Three service calls on battery low message (car will not start the car when you press the start button). It will only start when the key is placed under the steering wheel.
3. Two service calls on coolant engine signs.
And multiple tier issues. The customer care will not care, you were on your own to deal with all that. Upper management was worth the car i was having. Bad culture to be in.

Defender major Safety Concern

I had a Defender 2021 and got into a very bad accident, hit full speed from the back, and both card were declared total loss. My defender was badly damaged, go to the doors. Despite the force of the crash, none of the airbags opened, by youngest daughter was in the back, and the door next to her was severely damaged, had a bruised cheek and was taken in an ambulance to an urgent care facility.
I reported my concern of the car safe to to Land Rover Dubai, and they did nothing in terms of investigating what had happened and why no airbags were utilized. I am very disappointed in the car safety and in the manner the customer service personnel dealt with my concerns.

Why ask for a star I would give them…

Why ask for a star I would give them -10. Disgrace and disgusting, my daughter has worked so hard and saved for a new 2024 Evoke within 3 months all lights flashing she phoned them they came picked it up told her she could have a courtesy car. Three days later they told her she had to travel to a garage over 30 miles away to pick it up and then she found they gave her a much older Jaguar ( if she had wanted a Jaguar she would have bought a Jaguar) then they told her her car would be with them for 12 WEEKS. This supposed to be a top of the range expensive brand new car. Please anyone out there thinking of buying one of these cars DONT do it you are treated dreadful they are thieves and I don’t want anyone else treated like my daughter. When and if she gets this car back she has not got a new car. Shame on you You are disgusting. 12 weeks to await a problem on a brand new car. Shocking. DO NOT BUY.

Honestly please learn from the other…

Honestly please learn from the other comments and give it a miss. They charge premium prices for substandard products and service. My Defender has been a disaster from beginning to end. Do yourself a favour and spend your hard earned money elsewhere, like BMW.

The Range Rover evoque 2l manual diesel…

The Range Rover evoque 2l manual diesel 2017 plate! What a horrible horrible car from me getting it on finance just over 4 years ago, insurance for them are stupidly high now and repairs cost a fortune too! It is now parked up as the turbo has gone after 60000 miles and front and rear cameras have failed, electrical issue all the time too. Worst car I have ever had so steer clear of getting one unless you have the same amount of money you paid for the car as backup to repair it

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AFTER CARE

I have had an on going complaint with Land Rover now for over 6 months. My car was booked in incorrectly for work it didn't need doing. On leaving the dealership my back window with out me activating it kept coming down at various points. I could not control this happening and reported back to the dealership asap. Know-body cares, called every number available and sent numerous emails, still flighting for a problem the caused to be rectified. The most frustrating company on earth to deal with regarding aftersales and care. Would never buy another Land Rover again knowing what the customer service is like - BEWARE

Never buy another Landrover

Purchased an Evoque January 2024 from Lookers Battersea Landrover and like so many people on here have had a nightmare with the car. It was less than 4 years old and is now on its third battery which of course isn’t covered by the warranty. AA have been called out 3 times in the year. Dodgy electrics that the AA man said could be caused by the battery however the battery shouldn’t keep running down so it must be an electrical issue and to take it to Roger Young Landrover Saltash for diagnostics. £600 later and only a new battery as they said there was nothing wrong! I decided to sell the car (at 9 months) and they gave me a verbal offer - however when I agreed to go forward (less than a week later) the offer was £1500 less! Having lost £900 a month on the car in 9 months I would never buy another landrover - the car is beautiful and when not going wrong, amazing to drive. However the service and support you get vs the cost means I would never get another.

Trust the negative reviews, I wish I did!

What started as a dream purchase has become a year-long nightmare. My Range Rover Evoque, a supposed symbol of luxury and quality, has spent almost an entire year in the repair shop!
From breaking down in the first week of picking it up, the issues have just cascaded. The garage my car is at cannot fix the problem and don't believe it can be fixed. Every time I get a glimmer of hope that it's fixed, another problem surfaces. It's beyond frustrating to pay a premium price for a vehicle that's spent more time with mechanics than with me.
But the mechanical failures are only half the problem. Land Rover's customer service has been abysmal. It's shocking how little they seem to care about a customer who's been without their vehicle for so long.
This experience has completely shattered my trust in Land Rover. Their reputation for quality is clearly undeserved. If you're considering an Evoque, or any Land Rover product, be prepared for potential reliability issues and a customer service department that seems determined to ignore you. I deeply regret my purchase and urge others to think twice before making the same mistake.

AVOID LAND ROVER MOTHERWELL AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Bought a pre-owened Range Rover Velar in April 2023, within a month it was back in checking the power to screens as 1 was intermittently cutting out. Advised it was fixed. Fast forward to March 2024 and I reported loss of power which resulted in the car switching to limp mode twice whilst driving on motorway. They gave me it back 2 days later advising all was fine as they had rebooted battery. June 2024 I contact them to advise still losing power so the car goes back into them and they still have my car (as of 30th December). In this time they advised the turbo needed replaced and then the engine. Yes done under warranty and yes they provided me with a courtesy car which is a newer age, however, lesser model to what I am paying for. I have now made 7 finance payments to the car as well as insurance payments whilst my car is sitting on their forecourt. Constant chasing them up for updates and now ignored emails. I emailed the Branch Manager on 9th December with a formal complaint and he couldn't even acknowledge my email. Today the Servicing Manager finally returns my call to advise as far as they are concerned they have kept us mobile and basically take your car back and won't offer any goodwill. I have demanded an email breaking down what parts have been replaced and what warranty these now have - be interesting to see what they say.

Absolute joke - customer service is horrendous and I can honestly say I will never buy from them again!!!!

Worst vehicle and company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with

Wow, Just Wow! Avoid!!!!! Avoid!!!!! Avoid!!!!! Avoid!!! At All Costs!!!!!

Worst, most appalling experience dealing with any garage or any company in my entire life!!!
Evoque with 5,000 miles from new had fault with 48v battery that nearly caused a fire under passenger front seat whilst my wife and children were in the car!!!

Vehicle went into Range Rover Southend, no worries they said? Any parts that are found faulty will be covered under a safety recall N836 for free.
Currently and still ongoing over two months of our car being with them and no courtesy car offered, over 35 unreturned calls made by myself and my wife to them, many many ignored emails to them, dealing with 6 different people along the way, we have ended up with a £3,000 pound bill for items that are listed as covered under a recall that they are now saying they are not covering?

Astonishingly all the parts recall parts we have been charged and invoiced for were said to be fine on a video sent to us by Range Rover Southend the first day our vehicle arrived with them on the 1st of October and then by the 13th of November whilst our vehicle had been constantly in their care these recall items all of a sudden needed replacement and we had to pay! 🤣 This place is an utter joke!

Please, Please, Please I beg you, do not take your vehicle to these people!!
The outright incompetence, staff negligence and disjointedness running throughout this business has left my wife and I in utter astonishment.
I would not wish this place upon my worst enemy!

The worse customer service experience I…

The worse customer service experience I have ever dealt with. Car has been in to check on engine light three times this year and after having the car in for two days the first two times nothing was solved . Third time around they have had the car for a month and still nothing has been done . I have been told they do t know when I will get the car back. In the meantime, no courtesy car because I did not buy the car from that specific dealer ?
