My $609 dollar door has come loose in a corner after four weeks and nothing was offered in a repair. This door was an expensive installation in my house of 20 years. On the phone with a rep for approximately and hour and supervisor said hire someone to uninstall and return the door. I could have paid a technician $200 to fix the glaze.

I purchased a Larson storm door…at home depot.

I purchased a Larson storm door approximately 20 years ago. Recently my mother-in-law tried to open the screen door using her foot (her hands were full) and put her foot thru the door and then tripped and fell on the door breaking two of the hinges. Certainly our fault and not Larson's. Just called and a new hinge rail is on the way. Great to see a company stand behind their product which has worked great for so many years.

Be ready to be disappointed if you called the main office

We had a contractor put in our Larson outside door. It had a gap on the right hand side on the bottom as you look from inside the house to outside. About 1 month later we had a second contractor take the door completely out and put in a new frame thinking the frame was crooked. The door has the same leakage but maybe a little bigger on the same spot. I called the Larson door head office they said take a picture. I sent them several detailed pictures. They said remove the door and put a large level on the side to see if it is warped. Yeah, right this 76 year old man with Parkinson’s will get right on that. I have gotten no satisfaction or results from Larson. Used to be these doors would last over 25 years not now a days. And used to be we had better service not now a days. That’s in the past so Sad to say.

Just purchased and had installed the Platinum retractable screen storm door. The locking mechanics don't align with the frame. The only way to fix is to remove the newly installed door and install one that is aligned. Are you kidding Larson?? I paid to have it installed and now will have to pay someone again to reinstall!!!!

Ordered 32x81 and 36x81 storm doors

Ordered 32x81 and 36x81 storm doors. Received them but didn't have the hardware so had to reschedule install. Finally received hardware. Tried to install but was missing trim that holds glass in place as well as trim to cover screws. What ever happened to quality control?

Poor Workmanship!

We had our Larson Storm/Screen door installed about 2 years ago and every 8-11 months the spring in the screen will be bad and needs to be replaced! you can raise the window unless you cut out the screen and order another just to go bad again! These things are a pain to change and costly to hire someone. Larson is little to no help!

Do NOT purchase Larson Screen Doors

Larson screen doors are strong and sturdy door and three locks are very nice. That is where the good ends. The wind blows even slightly and the screen gapes open on both sides and flies and bees fly right in the house. Major design flaw, especially on such a sturdy and expensive door. Third screen since installation in September and it's February. Also, the door all of a sudden just started to slam really hard, even after adjusting for a softer close. Customer service told me that Larson knows it has a problem with the "closure" and is sending out a new one...for me to replace myself, of course. The part that is maddening is that I had to call Larson about it. They KNOW they have the problem and yet did not communicate that the closure fails nor did they send a new one (they have all of my contact info, including email so it would have been very easy to do so but Larson chose not to do so.) What is the purpose of registering the door? EPIC FAILURE! Do NOT purchase Larson screen doors. Again, strong and sturdy, but absolute junk for how expensive they are. Thought I purchased a really good door, but found out otherwise. I will replace just as soon as I can.

Bought 36" storm door with lifetime…

Bought 36" storm door with lifetime warranty. Door has now cracked in over 5 places on the exterior of the door. Filed warranty online and would only let me upload one picture to show issue.... got email response saying they will only give $20-$40 towards a new Larson door or I can pay $75 to order a replacement door. Guess lifetime warranty is not a lifetime warranty with this company. Would not buy a Larson product again.

Latch for screen does not stay latched

The window that holds up the hidden screen does not stay shut. The whole reason wee bought this storm door was so that we could have our front door open to allow light in. With the latch not staying shut it leaks air both in summer when running ac and in winter with heat.

flimsy junk

just bought two new storm doors and they are junk, so flimsy it seems like they're made with aluminum foil. their are no stops for the glass sash, so it's wide open or completely closed. furthermore, there is no friction so the panel will drop like a stone if it slips, which is likely since the only thing holding it up are your 2 fingers on the 2 difficult slide locks that hold it in place, and when it slips it will slide so hard that i expect it will shatter. one of the two was defective, though we didn't realize it until it was mounted so we had to take the entire thing off and return it for another. finally, the closer hydraulic is poor. if the main door is open, it will close properly. but if the main door is closed, the slight air pressure between the two doors keep it from closing completely. i will never buy this junk again.

Atrocious

Atrocious, total crap retractable screen door and no customer support. I've only had my Tradewinds storm door for 3 months and the retractable screen that was partially open came crashing down. Now the glass panel won't latch and the screen is loose. The longer you wait on the phone, the more the wait time goes up! This is a horrible company and I will never order from Larson again

Ordered a Larson Platinum RS Storm Door with Retractable …

Ordered a Platinum RS with Retractable window with Screen. Here is how it went
Ordered 1/23/24 Arrive 7 wks broken bottom window
Ordered 2nd one arrived 5/3/24
Installed 5/17/24
9/24/24 Lower window Broke heard it checked out and all spiderweb then fell out
Called Next day No Warranty on Glass and the worst part The bottom glass cannot be replaced so they wanted to sell me another $1000 Door that was installed for 4 Months and it now worthless. NEVER AGAIN This was my 2nd Larson Product NEVER AGAIN. How can a company in good faith sell a product with a warranty where it can't be fixed must be replaced with a purchase of a new one.

BEWARE...No Customer Support or Service!

I would have rated the Company and Door higher but the customer support line 1-888-483-3768 is a total waste of time!!! I called the number 6 times and each time the system said it was going to be a 26 minute wait time! the first two times I waited on hold for over before before selecting the call back option only to NEVER be called back!!!! THIS MEANS THAT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!! It also means THEY MOST LIKELY WILL NEVER RESPOND TO WARRANTY ISSUES!

Larson falsely advertises a lifetime…

Larson falsely advertises a lifetime warranty. They say all their doors are guaranteed but the vast majority of the doors they sell are glass. When I came home to a shattered glass door due to elemental conditions I called them and they explained to me "glass breaks sometimes" at which point I informed the male representative that I'm aware how glass works. I said that they advertise a lifetime warranty yet when you go to the warranty terms they reduce the limitations to basically nothing. So they offer a lifetime warranty guarantee...but the warranty guarantees nothing. Stellar customer service 1 star and would give zero if I could. This is false advertising. Thing busted out of no where I haven't even had it two years.

Bought the retractable screen type door…

Bought the retractable screen type door and within a month the screen retract broke. They handled the warranty by sending me a replacement screen with instructions, copier they used made the pictures too dark to be worth anything. Half a day and much aggravation and I fixed the door to find the new screen is near ready to fail as well. I think they own me a half day wage for fulfilling their warranty.
