They are a SCAM!!! Refund is impossible
They are a SCAM! Whatever service you need (laser hair, or thermage or other) I assure you there are better places. They take your money before your appointment and put you through with a lender. They don't let you cancel if you change your mind but offer things like store credit which is useless if you aren't satisfied. Their customer service is horrible if you aren't "buying" - To be honest, I rarely see companies THIS dishonest, I was shocked.

I too was scammed by this place. I was told I was a great candidate for one of their treatments only to be told later I wasn’t. Then the sessions I paid for were non-refundable! They are just car salespeople waiting for the next person to bait and switch, they are not anything like a caring medical office.
Their corporate office is just as awful. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!!! Seriously this company needs to be shut down for its predatory practices. Please, if anyone knows a class action lawyer who wants to take it on, I’m sure there’s millions of customers who have been wronged by this sh:t company.
No results & predatory lender
Not a happy customer:
1) Laser hair removal did not work with my daughter's facial hair after several sessions over two years. She is supposed to be the ideal candidate with light skin and dark hair. I am very disappointed not to see results after paying all that money.
2) I wish someone warned me about the third party creditor LaserAway works with, Universal Account Servicing, who has predatory practices. They send you bills with amounts purposefully lower than what you should pay, and then jump on the opportunity to charge 24% interest. You will have to set up your autopay higher than the amount that they give you on the phone to avoid ridiculous interest. And, once you underpay, even by $1, they have the right to charge interest over the full amount. I set up my autopay higher than what showed as "minimum payment" on their bill, and thought I was all good; but still ended up paying more than $800 in interest, when my bank failed with auto pay one time, and it was two days late.
3) And yes, getting an appointment for a date/time that works for you can be challenging.
RUN FAR AWAY
I guarantee this company is paying people or using employees to give them good reviews. IT'S A TOTAL SCAM. Do not go here! It's a chain and their machines aren't up to date. Not only that, they offer NO REFUNDS if the treatment doesn't work or harms you.
They literally took a picture of my vagina during an "assessment" with a nurse that reports to LaserAway. Not only that, they told me I probably had PCOS and to go get checked by my doctor IMMEDIATELY. So I did, and my hormone panel came back completely normal. The doctor also told me there was no medical reason why hair removal shouldn't have worked on me, my skin and hair were prime for that treatment. They said it was most likely faulty or outdated machinery.
To top it off, the Sales Associate really pushed a payment plan with GreenSky - DO NOT DO THIS! She told me there was a promo for 0% interest if paid within 24 months. I thought, great I get 2 years! Well, they lied. It was for 18 months and they set me up with a payment plan that didn't get my bill paid off in time. So that entire time I was accruing interest so now I owe almost $1,000 more than what I should have paid FOR A TREATMENT THAT DIDN'T WORK.
So please, run away from this place. There are so many other better options, some with even better pricing.
The salesperson charged me over $2000…
The salesperson charged me over $2000 for services they don't even offer in my city. That was 10 days ago, and despite 5 calls and a visit to the office, they still haven't issued a refund. I agree with the other reviews--predatory and dishonest.

Stay away! Horrible poorly trained injectors and technicians. They will mess up your face and then ignore you and gaslight you when you complain. Unethical company. Even their corporate doesnt care about the behavior of their employees. Go somewhere else trust me. I am forced to pay 1300 for botched botox that drooped my face over a month and 1 lip injection which left me bruised for almost a month. It took me countless calls, emails, facebook messages, google reviews and complaints to even get a reply. Now they gaslight me and tell me no refunds unless i keep my packages and continue with their services. Run away. They are Scammers.

**Please read** If you're considering service with LaserAway - here's what you should know before you sign up. You will be working with a predatory practice. A simple google search of LaserAway lawsuits can be helpful to understand context.
- What you are told verbally will be later denied. This includes the ability of being able to cancel/refund appropriately. It also includes any promise of results, which they are not obligated to honor. Sales associates will turn to verbal communication as they know they can’t put what they say in writing.
- Everything they offer is part of a special package. Nobody realistically pays their normal rates, it's a series of never-ending promotions that are recycled, and they will pretend you have a limited time to sign (you obviously don't, this in itself is a deceptive marketing tactic). If you aren’t happy with your service or need to cancel, they will use separate “non-prorated” rates (which no one uses) that are 3-5x times what you paid to then offset any money they owe you.
- Positive reviews you see on sites like Google are incentivized
- The business will not operate with things you expect from a normal business - sales associates with available email addresses, clear management structure, etc. This minimizes your ability to work with them. Sales are run and handled offsite and it’s common to be bounced around from offsite locations to physical locations.
- You will be passed from person to person on your visits with highly aggressive upsell tactics and because of lack of experience, your skin will be prone to burning, etc. Emphasis on person as you can look at their job openings - "no prior experience is required". Anyone off the street could be performing your treatment.
Bottomline: As soon as you decide to give them money, you won’t see it back if anything were to happen. This is critical to know. There are more reputable establishments you can visit (e.g., dermatologist office) and I highly, highly recommend you do so, it is so easy and can be cheaper, or you will learn this after the fact if you aren’t satisfied with your treatment.
Extortion, dishonest, and all about the $$$$
I have been going to this store for years. Spent quite a bit of money there- sent my daughter, and am HORRIFIED at the HORRIBLE customer service! The front desk is all about sales- I get it, BUT...I had requested a service that I was later (in the room, by the actual technician) told that I was not a candidate for. She took photos of my skin, sent it to her corporate office, who also then said I was not a candidate for...BUT...they charged me already for it- through PatientFi, which the front desk girl suggested since my bill in total was over $4,000.00- a LOT of money!!!! I had a very bad reaction to the Potenza treatment that I received, and my physician told me not to continue with the treatments....when I called PatientFi to cancel the "loan" I was told that Laseraway was already paid, and I needed to contact them. Laseraway flat out REFUSES to return my money. Charging me for services not received, that I am not a candidate for...and then saying "use the money on other services"-THAT IS EXTORTION!!!! After spending soooooooo much money there- to be treated like that....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I am intending to file a claim with small claims, and see if there are any attorneys interested in starting a class action. I'm pretty sure I am not the only one they have done this to! I told the mgr. that I was told by my physician to discontinue the treatments...she could care less!!! It is ALL about the money at this place. BEWARE! But wait....they want me to come back...AND....I received 2 sales calls even after all this.... I should have checked with BBB- 395 complaints in the past 3 years...that's a lot!
dishonest sales people
Lots of back and forth about removing my tattoo. It is blue. "Of course we can", "nope, sorry, we can't". Then reassurance from my sales person that they could and would try with the knowledge that it might not completely fade. ok fine....fast forward to my second session with a different nurse who tells me EXACTLY the same thing as the first nurse, texts the Doctor on staff who comes back and ultimately says NO. Well guess what I found out...LASERWAY DOESN'T HAVE THE RIGHT KIND OF LASERS TO REMOVE BLUE INK. Hmm...do you think that might have been good information to give to a customer? I get it, though....don't want to deny anyone of their commission. I agree with the dozens of other clients who have mentioned the aggressive sales tactics. They fast talk you into spending a ton of money when you originally only inquired about ONE thing. It's criminal.
Very bad experience with Lazeraway
Very bad experience with Lazeraway. Be careful, don't trust what they say. I bought my treatment lady name Karan, upon her recommendation I bought thermage treatment. We discussed the problem to resolve and she recommended "Thermmage".

you will be amazed to see your skin after this treatment. I bought it. 2 weeks after the treatment, I did not see any difference not even 5%, called treatment nurse. She stated this treatment will take 6 months to get result, just wait you will be surprised to see the result in 6 months and she sent me a email regarding this treatment. After 8 month my skin was same no changes at all, called back and they told me talk to Karen who sell to you, we don't know what she told you when she sell. Called Karen so many times, sent her messages, no response. Called back and spoke to Johnathan, very rude and unprofessional, couldn't give me a satisfactory answer and line D/c.
Almost 2 months back and forth, no response. Whenever I call they say someone will give you a call. No call received till today. Very stressful because you pay that much and result ZERO. Please be aware and very careful to get any treatment from them.

TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT CANT KEEP APPOINTMENT
Laser Away is good at taking your money and making an appointment (you have to pay upfront) but LA keeping an appointment, or the receptionist making the correct appointment, seems impossible for them. I am in over 3K (original start date was in November) and I have only had one session, its March! They have rescheduled on me over 3 times. I don't think it's particularly the staff, I think its Laser Away's Corporate Office and their lack of training and hiring staff so their sites can have proper coverage. After my last reschedule on March 4th, I asked to speak to someone at their corporate office.......its March 8th, and I still haven't received a call. It feels like LA's Corporate office does not care about its customers. After I finish the sessions, I have already paid for I will go to another company. There are many to choose from. For me, LA was a mistake.
Bad Treatment
I have been going to laser away since 2017. After moving to Anaheim I started visiting this location and it is a mess. My last full body hair removal treatment went wrong. I informed the manager and contacted Laser Away main office ( multiple times) regarding the problem and all they say the Director will call me back and, it has been 5 days , no call back. They have not even sent me follow up rate your treatment email. I guess, when things are good, all is good. But, when something is wrong, you are on your own. Taking my business to Ideal Image.
Update. Someone named Brian from corporate office finally called me and I wish he did not! I don't know why they let him call paying customers because he has no customer service skills whatsoever. He was talking over me, raised his voice on a few occasions trying to convince it that is totally acceptable that my 90 minute treatment took only 35 minutes because maybe different laser was used. No, Brian. I have done many treatments on that laser in that room many times. OMG! I ended up hanging up on him because his attitude was plain disrespectful. He completely dismissed all my concerns. What kind of customer service is that?
This place is the biggest scam
This place is the biggest scam. If you purchase a package, you will be up sold each and every time you go in for a treatment. I’ve had over 10 clear and brilliants which they swore would help my skin issues, but every time I go in, they push another “new” treatment on me that will supposedly help more. It’s disheartening to spend a lump sum of money on a treatment only to continue to be told you have to spend more and more to see any results. The nurses are super pushy about it even after you politely decline numerous times.
Today I cancelled due to a unsafe weather advisory and they rescheduled me with no issues. Then, hours later I get a vm stating I am being charged $50 for my no call no show. I have since called and spoken to 5 different people; still with no resolve. The internal communication is awful. Even the manager spoke over me, was dismissive and could do nothing to help. She literally told me to call corporate and gave me the number that we were currently talking on. Supposedly corporate is going to call me, but given the poor communication I’ve seen internally, I highly doubt they will follow through or do anything to make this right.
When things go wrong, there is zero customer service
If you are okay with inexperience RN doing your Botox and a company that cannot be bothered with customer service when things go wrong, you found the right place!
This review is for Botox. I've been getting Botox for 10+ years and have developed a very clear set of instructions to any new provider to avoid a botched Botox, 1. Don't change the shape of my eye brow, 2, don't drop my eye brow and 3. No uneven eye brow. I gave these specific instructions to the RN. 2 weeks later, my eye brows are flattened and dropped. Mistakes happen, it is the post botched Botox customer service that led to this review. At my 2 weeks follow up, both the sales person and the RN agreed they dropped my eye brow which made me look tired and angry. I also found out my Botox RN is relatively inexperienced. From 10+ years of Botox, I know there is nothing they can do to lift the middle of my brow. The Castro location tells me there is nothing they can do, all they can do is referred me to their corporate client service person, after 2 weeks of getting the run around and explaining to various people via text and e-mail, all I get back is boilerplate answers deflecting responsibility.
I pay $500+ for millimeters of improvement and instead of improvement, now I look tired and angry for the next 4 months and LaserAway couldn't be bothered to provide any answer/apology beyond some lawyerly deflection of their mistake.

I’ve been a laser away customer for a long time. I have given them over 10,000+ in business. I have gotten anything and everything pretty much done at laser away including skin care product, which are over sometimes over hundred dollars. Just recently I purchased Coolsculpting and more clear and brilliant Botox and lip fillers. The manager that was there at the time convinced me to buy cool sculpting and clear and brilliant Botox and lip fillers total cost was again over 9500. She told me I would get complementary treatment for laser since I have spent alot of money and the hair growth was still there. I had the worst experience with cool sculpting it was so much discomfort and pain. I feel like they lie to you when they tell you oh it’s minor pain and discomfort. I was in discomfort for over three months. When I did not want the second applicator I asked for refund they refused to refund me the full amount. They refunded me for half of it. It doesn’t stop there. then they said I not gonna get my complimentary laser treatment either. the manager who had given me complimentary treatment left her job and she is not authorized to give me complementary treatment. I was very disappointed. I decided to also get my refund back for clear and brilliant I’m not gonna give my business to a business who doesn’t appreciate it. Recently I’ve been calling and calling the corporative office for refund. I was told at least three times upon calling that somebody’s going to return my call which I never get back. Please, please please save your money take your business somewhere else. You can get much more with the money than this place. I’m a very reasonable person at this point I am very frustrated and angry. More upset with myself because I given these people my business. I will be taking my thousands that I give here somewhere else, a local med spa where they would appreciate my business way more than this place. Crooks! I scheduled a service at the north wells location, then canceled. I changed my mind. I was informed after i canceled my first appointment that my care credit card had already been charged. The service cost was $3000. I was told only the rep who i first spoke with could issue a refund. When he and i talked again i was told he could only refund half my money. Such an injustice! i signed no documents, i authorized NO verbal agreement, I have nothing in writing. NOW I'm being forced to use your services!!! This is a desperate and horrible company with unethical business practices!!!!!

The Thermage hype!
I saw a slight sag in my face, did some research, and noticed LaserAway… Thermage offered to tighten skin, long-lasting results in just one treatment, and most importantly, no surgery required. After spending $1400, I don’t see a difference. Even though I was told I would start seeing results in two weeks and after three, there were no noticeable results or tightening of the skin—money I should have saved and ninety minutes I could have used at the gym.
