I was on the verge of doing business…
I was on the verge of doing business with Niall Connolly when, thankfully, someone reached out to warn me. They provided a detailed list of over 30 companies he and his wife Laura Walker are associated with, all showing a worrying pattern of serious regulatory non-compliance. This includes failing to file essential documents such as accounts and confirmation statements, with many of the companies ending up in compulsory liquidation, voluntary liquidation, or being dissolved altogether after a short life span.
What’s even more concerning is that many of these companies have undergone multiple name changes, and it appears that company names are often recycled and reused for entirely different entities. Why do this if not to confuse creditors and obscure a troubling track record?

I’m a former employee
I’m a former employee and never received a penny for 6 weeks work ! Went to tribunal and agreed on the salary I should receive . However all they do is close the business when they have run up lots of debt with suppliers , staff, sub contractors.
Consequently they leave half finished projects everywhere as suppliers and subbies refuse to work with them . It was impossible to get any work done.
The owner Niall asked me to lie about the project progress to clients
They also have the worst health an safety procedures I have ever seen in over 35 years in the industry. I’m surprised they havent caused a fatality .
TOTAL SCAM BEWARE
TOTAL SCAM BEWARE. As other people on here have written. We have been completely ripped off by laterem. Don’t trust these scam artists with your money.
SCAMMERS!!!
This has been my worst experience with a company ever! In short, I strongly advise against using the Laterem group, as they took my money without delivering the agreed-upon services. Despite pursuing a refund for nearly a year, I have received nothing but disgraceful behaviours. They even resorted to intimidation tactics, shocking me with threatening phone calls. Dealing with them has been a nightmare, and I urge everyone to beware of their fraudulent operations. Avoid them at all costs to protect yourself from becoming their next victim. You have been warned!

Hiring this company has been the worst decision of my life. They defrauded me of my life savings..there are several people behind this criminal gang. They should all be in prison.

Avoid Niall Patrick Connolly and any company associated with this scumbag like the PEST !!
This company is a SCAM do not use them
This company is a SCAM do not use them, they are only good at taking your money and will walk off site without completing the contracted job. They did very little and extremely dangerous works which needed to be totally rectified. When we resumed works with a new contractor we found a screw improperly drilled through a gas pipe and a ceiling they built held up to some timber with literally 4 screws in total that was at total risk of collapse on our heads. This entire experience has left me feeling traumatised, and dealing with members in this organisation has left me mentally exhausted.
They claimed to be qualified interior…
They claimed to be qualified interior designers, civil engineers and builders, although they are not. We investigated and discovered that the pictures of previous projects they had shown us were CGI. They also left unexperienced 17 year olds unsupervised on site, thus showing no intention to carry out works to a professional standard. Sadly, I am aware of other people who have experienced similar problems.
Our experience with Laterem Group was…
Our experience with Laterem Group was extremely disappointing. They presented themselves as professionals but tremendously failed to deliver their promises.
Communication was a struggle, they often ignored our inquiries leaving us in the dark about the progress of our project. What is more they mismanaged our payments leaving the subcontractors unpaid - causing delays.
The quality of work was subpar and we were left with a botched renovation.
To sum up - Laterem Group showed LACK OF TRANSPARENCY, FINANCIAL IRRESPONSIBILITY and POOR WORKMANSHIP. Definitely a company to avoid
Do not do any work for this company if…
Do not do any work for this company if you are requested to do so. They simply won't pay you, and will totally ignore any contact attempts. ALL TRADES PEOPLE STEER CLEAR!
Lied from start to finish
Really bad experience from start to finish. There were consistent lies throughout the entire process. To sum it up, I've spent over £150,000 and ended up with a derelict house. I have connected with other victims and understood that this is Laterem Group’s pattern of behaviours in London and Surrey.
They told lies on all fronts
They told lies on all fronts - including their skills, reviews and projects portfolio. They misrepresented their connections to suppliers and subcontractors, saying they had personal ties with them and worked with them on many projects, which we subsequently discovered was untrue. In order to avoid paying subcontractors, they misled them by claiming that we had not made any payments, even though this was untrue. They walked off site leaving the job unfinished and said the company was in liquidation when I asked for a refund. I later learnt the company was still active and it was another lie.
Terrible experience
I've had a terrible experience with Laterem Group. Unfortunately I fell victim to their deceitful practices. Lost money, time and peace of mind. Stay away from these fraudsters and save yourself the trouble.
Stay away from Laterem Group
I strongly recommend staying away from Laterem Group. They charged us £30,000 for work that they never finished – walls were built without proper footings, the patio was left undone, and they left a mess in a lay-by near our house for ages. They even tried to bill us later for work we didn't agree to and charged us for stuff we never got. Suppliers and workers asked us for money because Laterem Group wasn't paying them. When we complained, the owner got aggressive and then just stopped talking to us and blocked my phone number. Sadly, I know others who've had the same problems. To fix their bad work, we've hired another company and are reporting them to trading standards and action fraud.
My scam experience with Laterem Group
I want to share my experience with Laterem Group, and it's essential to label it as a scam to alert potential clients. My engagement with Laterem Group quickly evolved into a nightmarish situation.
The lack of transparency regarding the project's progress and the misappropriation of funds for materials we never received were major concerns. It was evident that Laterem Group had no intention of fulfilling their promises.
Communication was a persistent issue, with the company often being unresponsive or offering vague replies. As our situation worsened, it escalated into criminal activity, with threats from individuals associated with Laterem Group.
I strongly caution anyone against doing business with them. Beware of Laterem Group, as my case demonstrates the worst kind of scam in the construction industry.
I strongly recommend avoiding…
I strongly recommend avoiding consideration of this company for hiring.
I aim to provide an honest account of my experience with this company without resorting to defamatory language. I encourage you to carefully consider these issues before making a decision regarding this company.
In my personal experience, they have exhibited concerning practices. They have failed to pay subcontractors, which raises questions about their financial integrity. Furthermore, their lack of dedication to client satisfaction is evident as they have left the job unfinished and falsely presented it as completed on their website.
Additionally, during a home renovation project, they caused significant damage. This included cutting pipes in the ceiling, resulting in leaks from the property above, and cutting pipes in the floor, causing leaks to the property below. They also damaged intercom cables.
I strongly caution against engaging…
I strongly caution against engaging with this company for hiring purposes. My experience with them has revealed a disturbing lack of transparency. There have been instances where information provided by the company did not align with the actual situation, leading to a sense of mistrust. This raises concerns about their integrity and communication practices. Considering these factors, I would recommend exploring alternative options for your hiring needs.
