We will never use Lauritz again and would never recommend Lauritz to anyone. Horrible transportation company, bad customer service and damaged goods. After waiting for 3 full days at home (8-17), the transport company - Transportbyrån (that a buyer is required to use through Lauritz if they are unable to pick up the goods at Lauritz) finally delivered the table and chairs we purchased through Lauritz (18 days after we paid for the transport). The delivery arrived at 18:30 in the evening, an hour and a half after the delivery window. The table top was wrapped in plastic, so we did not notice until after the delivery that something heavy must have been dropped on the table top during transport, which made a large dent in the wood and broke the edge of the table top. We informed both Lauritz and the transport company, along with pictures, and neither company even had the courtesy to respond to our messages! We have never experienced such delinquent and overall poor service. Based on the reviews for both Lauritz and the Transportbyrån, it seems that this is not an exception, but the rule to how they do business. Buyer beware!

So I've been trying to buy this table on Lauritz. I was the only bidder until about an hour before auction ended. Then there was a second bit. I didn't bid more as another identical table was coming up two days time. So the table sold to the second bidder 2162130. A couple of days later, the table that had been sold to 2162130 was on the auction site again! From the marks, you could identify the table as the one having been sold. Okay, wanted to try again. The table that I was interested in had a bidder and I let it go. What happened, a couple of days after the table had been sold it was on the auction site again. Wouldn't trust them, be careful.

Mixed opinions on Lauritz. They are sloppy with lot descriptions often, which can be misleading and time wasting. Though customer service is very good and all my problems have been resolved eventually. Shipping with Lauritz partner to SE can be expensive from DK as they don't allow combining multiple lots.

So far, I am satisfied with the items purchased, as well as the services provided by Laurtiz. But that’s just my experience......
It all went super fast and delivery on point. Great service and easy to understand.
I tried Lauritz.com for the first time, and I had a very pleasant experience selling a rare chair. Right from reception to valuation to the online auction. Top notch professional. Good at explaining the price strategy and go in with realistic expectations. Nice website to follow the process. No hassle getting the money transferred after the grace period, where the customer can return the purchased good. I can definitely recommend using their auction service!
Submitted an item for valuation, got a rude email back telling me to sell it on qxl. I asked them why, and why they wouldn't even evaluate the item (as stated that they would on their website). I got a rude and unprofessional email back stating a price that I can only assume they plucked out of thin air. Im not even mad or complaining about the price, it's the tone and unprofessional way they conduct themselves.
I won a bid for a quite rare lamp that has some details that look off than the authentic ones, so I requested a condition report and authentication report from Lauritz, which they also forwarded my request to the auction house with my item. Normally, in this case, Lauritz should have aware that I am waiting for the answer to make the payment, but so far I have been getting their 2 emails to ask me to pay. Therefore, I was polite enough to call them today to explain the situation, but the support was EXTREMELY rude, he didn't even finish listening to my words and assumed that I was asking item-related inquiries and keep telling me that he is going to transfer me, but I told him I just want him to note that I may need a couple more days to make the payment if the other auction house hasn't replied me with the documents. But Lauritz support said: "I am not going to note anything, you suppose to pay after 3 days when you won the bid no matter the item is a replica or not, you always have 2 years to return."
...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!
How can an auction house employee say such a stupidly unprofessional thing like this?!! All you want is money, not reputation?!
This makes me really doubt if Lauritz is a trustworthy platform to buy authenticated goods or just a money-making social media.
Also, the employee, if you really hated your job, change one, don't make your life miserable and ruin other people's day.
Best regards.
I have purchased many items from Lauritz in Denmark without problems. However do not do business with Dusseldorf. I have been waiting almost 2 months for a package. They can't find it and blame it on Covid!
Incompetent JERKS! There communication and customer service is the worst in the world.
AVOID THIS COMPANY
Nice things they have, no doubt about that.
But the Company has gradually chanced, and isn't an auction house anymore.
Lots of newly produced goods.
And almost minimum price on all items (furnitures), without knowing what the minimum price is.
So lauritz.com has gradually changed to an online store site and is not an auction house.
The problem of this group of auction houses is that no-one really cares what happens to the purchased good when it is beeing packaged and sent to the buyer. They all blame each other and the trasportation provider Transportbyron. Goods are damaged because they do not pack or protect them them at all. Then trapprtbyron does not handle the goods with care but cause serios damages I have had 4 unprotected items through transportbyron of which 3 were damaged and two returned back alltogether to Sweden . Be prapered that you will not get the money back entirely, and you will not get the good in one piece whatever the quarantees ! This is systematic and no one seems to care at all. Do not bid any item with the auction houses of this group.
Awful, slow website, which is a little ironic for an online marketplace!! They mostly sell junk. Otherwise they have bad descriptions that quite often leave out the most important information. Seems all the good stuff is via the Swedish auction house that they link to. It is especially low that when you do bid on something, you are then told that your bid is below the reserve price. Then start the bidding at the reserve price, not at zero.
Hidden minimum price is scammy business practice
If you are not willing to show the minimum price you have something to hide.
Imagine going to a grocery store and not knowing what the price is before you have run your credit card through.
You should know better. Shame on you.
Magen til korrupt fuskende inkompetent virksomhed skal man lede længe efter, styr på absolut intet til håndtering af varer vurderinger , forsendelse , reklamation, beskrivelse osv. Fortjener at gå konkurs
To All internationals dont buy from this auction house please dont do IT !!?

I was sold a faulty chair. The chair is incomplete and lacks a very important detail (the height adjustment lever). This very important fact was not mentioned in the auction. When I realized this, my options was to keep the chair, or send it back at my own expense. The support personell was rude and simply stopped answering my e-mails even though I sent a reminder. I have stopped using them since. A very unprofessional way to do business.

Extortionate delivery charges just transferring between their own auction houses.....And if you don't collect or make your own arrangements for collection 3 days after winning they threaten you with huge fees. Such hostile environment...yukk

Just don't sell with Lauritz.com. Here's why:
I agreed with Lauritz.com to sell 8 vintage leather lounge chairs by Kukkapuro, with an ultra rare custom base. These chairs sell for sometimes over $ 2000 if they are in great condition - per piece (sic).
Lauritz (via Thomas Nymann, Guns & Gents, København, Skindergade) estimated all 8 chairs at a mere 5-6000 DKK (sic). This was obviously significantly lower than I had expected. But the chairs did have some wear and tear and I had to sell them as I was moving - and the free pickup did make everything convenient. I was optimistic they would sell much higher.
So I told Lauritz that I'd accept no less than 6000 DKK, the direct quote was "Hej, en vurdering på 6000 kan jeg leve med, selvom jeg synes det er i den lave ende." Meaning that I'd accept no less than DKK 6000.
Lauritz put them up for sale at a valuation of DKK 6000 and they sold for a mere DKK 2600.00 (hammer price - meaning just DKK 2060 for me after fees). So I lost about DKK 3600 compared to what I had expected in a worst case scenario. And a lot more compared to the actual worth, had the right buyer showed up.
I've tried to reason with Lauritz through countless emails. Obviously I would have never accepted a sale this low. But since I didn't specifically say the magic word "minimum price", they refuse to do anything further and have referred me to Center for Klageløsning i Konkurrence- og Forbrugerstyrelsen. I'm sure it says to somewhere in their long and quirky terms which they often refer to, but at no point was I asked if I specifically wanted a minimum price (to which I'd say hell yes, I just gave it to you!).
Anyone who knows a bit about the process of running a formal complaint process will probably tell you that it takes way too many hours and grief to go through the complaint system, compared to the potential gain. I'm not going to spend time on that.
So, Lauritz, I forgive you that you couldn't do better although it wasn't very good. I'll probably never sell anything again with you, but I may scout for good deals, like the ones you gave a lucky new owner of 8 awesome Kukkapuro vintage lounge chairs. Meanwhile I hope someone will make an honest competitor to Lauritz.com that takes pride in working with explicit minimum prices and a much more formal and transparent submission process for selling goods. Because it's just a better and more sustainable business model than being dishonest, worst case, or unprofessional at best.
Peace, Martin.

Open letter to Lauritz and Transportbyrån
"Hello Lauritz,
For your information,
my letter to Mr. Helle, reponsible by Transportbyrån,
and that is the only feedback to you Lauritz.
So I let you know what a very imcompetent transport firm Transportbyrån is you are working with. I have no other words for that, it´s like an accident. And it feels like fraud.
The problem is: you are recommending this transport firm,
and in my eyes you are a kind of accomplice of them.
And that is absolutely not o.k.
I think about to make an announce because of delay.
Dr. Wolfgang Scheibel, München
Dear Mr. Helle,
now, after you said: week 36, or so:
you belief you must be silent,
as a shame
as I belief to know.
So I reply for you.
Truth is: you are only a very cowardly functionary.
Your company, in my eyes, is only a maschine
which let let people alone with promises which are nothing worthy.
And I let you know that I despise the company Transportbyrån,
and also you Mr. Helle
as part of this swedish denying company.
My experiences with turkish delivery comanies are much better
than with you swedish.
Yes, you are a shame for your trade.
I let you know this my opinion of you
and truth is, sorry: that´s the merit for your own behaviour and incapacity.
Truth also is: your not-acting it is a fraud on the customer.
Dr. Wolfgang Scheibel, München

I have never written a review of anything online, but felt the need to do so for Lauritz.com for the following reasons:
1. Out of the 10 or so items we sold through Lauritz.com, almost all of them were sold to about two thirds of their estimated price by their so-called experts,
2. Apparently, they take 15% commission from both seller and buyer, meaning their actual fee is 30% of what they sell (including an additional flat fee), meaning you ultimately only get around half of what they say it is worth, even less so if it's a small item,
3. When they weren't able to sell an item and we agreed that I would come pick it up again, however that I wouldn't be able to do so soon, when I finally did come to pick it up the item had been donated without a single email or alert that they would do so, and no explanation except an 'Oops, I'm sorry'.
I would therefore strongly recommend that you sell your items privately or through another auction house.
