There is something very strange with Lauritz deliveries.
When i go to "Order delivery" and choose Mail:
Deliver my item by mail (delivery to my address). DKK 185.00
and click "continue" there comes following:
Postal service to your address DKK 525.00
This obviously cannot be truth.
So Lauritz is about to take DKK 340 too much for the delivery.
And this is not the first time.
I have mailed Lauritz and asked for a separate delivery invoice (DKK 185) but have got no answer.
Be very, very careful when doing business with this site.

They probably have the most expensive shipping in the world.
I paid 512 crowns for sending one large cardboard. Shipping from Copenhagen to Odense.
I've been waiting for her for 26 days, and I still do not have it.

Bought a vintage sofa (1960's). Description mentioned one arm rest had a crack and was a little loose. This much was true and I factored this into the price I bid.
Upon delivery, I found that the entire right side of the sofa was loose and couldn't carry much weight - it also had glue left overs smeared on the joinery after poor attempts to fix in the past. None of this was mentioned nor photographed on the site. I would not had bid on the sofa had I known this – it's structural damage that is very hard to fix.
I've now spent an entire weekend taking the sofa apart, replacing dowels and re-gluing it hoping to get a somewhat stable sofa in the end.
Definitely NOT buying from Lauritz.com again.

I was a longtime in good standing customer at Lauritz.com. I bid on two similar end tables, won one & lost the other to the same competing bidder. Approx 10 days after the bidding, after arranging shipping, Lauritz.com contacted me to let me know that the other bidder cancelled his winning bid on the other similar end table and now the item was being auctioned again. So, had I have won, it would have been from the result of bidding against someone who had no intention of buying, but who was allowed to bid up the price. This same 'winner' bid against me in the other similar item which I did win. Did the price get pumped up there also? Yes, we were the last two bidders. This is not right. I bid in good faith and expect the same from other bidders. I demanded Lauritz.com provide some kind of compensation for this situation and the fact that a bidder was bidding up the price in bad faith. I felt they should drop that persons bids from the process and I would pay against the highest bid BEFORE the other bidder started bidding. No. So I cancelled. The company is shady and cannot be trusted. Now I wonder how much more I paid for other items in the past? It is very, very upsetting.

tl;dr: I waited 1,5 months for a sofa, got a wrong one shipped, only to find out that the original sofa doesn’t exist. After 2 months, the refund I got was at least 15 EUR short.
So, my first Lauritz experience:
* I won an action for a sofa and was thrilled.
* immediately paid for sofa and transportation with windum, Lauritz’ preferred logistics partner.
* didn’t hear anything for 2 weeks.
* I called windum, they said they tried but didn’t get it. I called Lauritz, they promised to fix it
* About a week later, I got a delivery. Paid 20 EUR for someone to help me carry the thing to my 3rd floor apartment. Then found out it was the wrong sofa.
* Had a plastic wrapped sofa in my living room for a week.
* After a week, the wrong sofa was picked up. I had to help carry of course.
* Didn’t hear anything for a week.
* Called windum, they said they didn’t have anything to deliver.
* Called lauritz, they said the sofa I bought didn’t exist, and the auction shouldn’t have taken place in the first place
* after nearly 2 months(!), I now got my refund, which is around 15 EUR short of what I paid for sofa and delivery.
So, not only did *I* have to call *them* every time, but I wasted a lot of time and nerves, I had to store a plastic wrapped sofa in my living room for a week, had to carry it up and down, their refund after 2 months is short, and I have additional costs I didn't get back. That leaves me without a sofa, with ~45 EUR lost and extremely angry.
Never again!
Bought a watch on auction from Lauritz.com.
The auction and bidding itself was very easy to understand, eventhough it was my first time bidding. I like that you get notified immediately after you bid, or if you are outbid or anything else. (Through email)
The watch was located in Roskilde, and when contacted through email, they were very helpful and quick to respond. The watch was very carefully packed and shipped.
I could not be more pleased.

WORST AUCTION WEBSITE EVER!!!!!!!!!!
When the auction is about to finish (like 1 minute left) they keep on adding extra time and the bid keeps going higher and higher:
'A last-minute bid has just been received and auction closing time has now been extended by 6 minutes and 21 seconds!'
AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!!!!! So why add an auction expire time if they just keep adding extra time every time someone bids?????
I DONT RECOMMEND THE WEBSITE AT ALL!!!!!!

Ich versprach nicht meine Zeit das Schreiben einer anderen Überprüfung von Lauritz aber das Unternehmen ist so arrogant in der Art, wie sie antwortete meinem letzten Beitrag, ich fühle mich gezwungen, zumindest dieses absolut letzten Bewertung zu schreiben. Erstens würde Ich mag an zwei Kommentare von Lauritz Kundendienst zu reagieren. Meine Beschwerde an den Kundendienst, in Bezug auf eine Versandzeit von mehr als drei Wochen, war nicht mit einem E-Mail, sondern persönlich am Telefon, um die Kundenhotline in Dänemark. Allerdings, wenn das Gespräch unangenehm für den Vertreter der Lauritz war die Person einfach legte den Hörer auf. Zweitens, würde Ich mag, um die Antwort vom Kundenservice betreffend Verschiffen mit Windum anzugehen. Der Kunde kann jede Speditionsfirma sie statt Windum, die von Lauritz empfohlen möchten verwenden. Was für eine lächerliche Aussage - als ob Kunden in ganz Europa Sie Waren von Lauritz würde in den skandinavischen Ländern kennen die Spedition Unternehmen nicht auf das Sprachproblem zu erwähnen. Was für ein Witz!!! Was wäre viel hilfreicher, den Kunden von Lauritz ist, dass Lauritz würde hinter der Firma, die sie empfehlen zu stehen und etwas zu tun, um den Transport von Waren durch das Unternehmen Windum gekauft besser oder einen besseren Partner statt auf einem Auge blind mit Kommentaren wie - "Wir haben nichts mit Transport zu tun, müssen Sie Windum Ihre Beschwerde kontaktieren". Typische Lauritz. Auch Transport nicht billig, und egal wie viele Artikel Sie an die gleiche Adresse der Versand wird für jeden Artikel berechnet erwerben - Vollpreis - ohne jeden Abzug. Es stimmt, dass Lauritz nicht bieten etwas wirklich gute Ware und manchmal sehr gute Preise, aber die "Hammer Schlag" von DKK95.00, zuzüglich 20% Kaufpreis, zuzüglich Kreditkarte Kosten macht die Prozent auf den Kaufpreis von a hinzugefügt satte 25% + und dann kommt die Transportkosten, die nicht gerade billig. Auch die Kunden von Lauritz hat drei Tage, um Zahlung zu leisten oder zu empfangen, eine zusätzliche Gebühr auf den Kaufpreis hinzugefügt, während der Kunde wartet seit über drei oder mehr Wochen für die Lieferung Interesse Lauritz nicht im geringsten. Profit is the name of the Game with Lauritz. I promised I would not waste my time writing another review of Lauritz but the company is so arrogant in the way they answered my last review, I feel compelled to write at least this absolutely last review. First, I would like to respond to two comments from Lauritz Customer Service. My complaint to Customer Service, regarding a shipping period of over three weeks, was not done with an Email but personally on the telephone to the Customer Hotline in Denmark. However, when the conversation was uncomfortable for the representative of Lauritz the person simply hung up the phone. Secondly, I would like to address the answer from Customer Service regarding shipping with Windum. The customer can use any spedition firm they want instead of Windum, which is recommended by Lauritz. What a rediculous statement - as if customer's all over Europe purchasing merchandise from Lauritz would know the Spedition Companies in the Scandinavian Countries not to mention the language problem. What a joke!!! What would be far more helpful to the customer's of Lauritz is that Lauritz would stand behind the company they recommend and do something to better the transport of merchandise purchased through the company Windum or find a better partner instead of turning a blind eye with comments like - "we have nothing to do with transport, you must contact Windum with your complaint". Typical Lauritz. Also, transport is not cheap and no matter how many items you purchase to the same address the shipping is charged for each item - full price - without any discount. It is true that Lauritz does offer some really good merchandise and at times very good prices, but the "Hammer Schlag" of DKK95.00, plus 20% purchase price, plus Credit Card Cost makes the percent added on to the purchase price of a whopping 25% + and then comes the transportation cost, which is not exactly cheap either. Also, the customer of Lauritz has three days to make payment or receive a penalty fee added to the purchase price, whereas the customer waiting for over three or more weeks for delivery interest Lauritz not in the least. Lauritz has there money so everything is fantastic. In closing, I am still waiting for delivery of merchandise purchased 10 September from the Lauritz Website but to Lauritz.com, not our problem, - we have your money. Profit is the name of the game for Lauritz and customer satisfaction of no interest at all.

I bought what I thought was a set of four original Eames chairs, apparently Lauritz interpretation of original is different to that of Vitra. But after a long and slow process communicating with Lauritz and without any apology Lauritz has now picked up the chairs and repaid the full amount.

I have found great stuff on Lauritz.com over the years. But several times I have had difficulties getting clarity on transportation. And if it is not completed in a week from purchase they fine you a DKK 200.
Instead they could make it easier to book shipments (at significantly better prices) and give you a 24 hour warning before just sending a fine. When I called the customer service the only thing they really cared about was to make sure that I would not be able to get the goods purchased unless paying the additional DKK 200 and they made you feel like a fool because you had questions to how to get the transportation to work.

I must say that Lauritz.com does not only pawn their concurence on the Internet Auction houses in Northern Europé. They Always have the best customer support and All Amazing items, for all, some a bit lower priced items some a bit higher and deluxe.
In Antwerpen the Jewelry is Always fine and Amazing.
The best of the best. Not only in concurence with other Auction houses or companies, but also when it comes to the Boutiques that sell similar Jewelry.

Really shocked at this! I am still waiting after months for payment for an item that was sold by Lauritz. I made a mistake entering my account number, this was rectified and I have been told they tried to pay me after it was rectified but it never went through.
I have sent numerous emails, most go unanswered, they deny receiving them in fact. Spoke to some called [Sensitive information removed] and he told me he did not want to discuss the matter further! What? Is this not customer support??? He hung up the phone on me after interupting me constantly. Phoned back and got a different answer to my problem that [Sensitive information removed] had actually sent a mail to the payments department and I would maybe get an answer in a week. Was also told that it was paid out and I should contact my bank. I contacted my bank and they said it was Lauritz that should contact THEIR bank and find out what has happened to the money. The so called customer support is the worst experience ever and I am really stunned . Not surprised to see so many complaints here. So over to you Lauritz.com are you going to send my payment? Had to give one star as there is no option to leave 0 stars which is what I should be leaving. Ian

I really like putting my things on Lauritz.com and is using is a business for me. However, you have to constantly follow up with them in order to ensure things are done on time and you items are put on auction in the agreed scheculed. Everyone is super nice to deal with however, their response time is just quite slow in many cases. Also we could expand the business quite a lot if they would allow us to put a minimum value on some of our items however, at present that can only be done for very expensive items. Again I think its a good company but there level of service in terms of response time needs to improve they seem much too busy.
