Avoid Lava Rock Direct at all costs

Avoid Lava Rock Direct at all costs. I have never had this type of experience with a company in my entire 31 years. They are completely deceptive, especially Neil.

First off, their operations are a nightmare. I largely purchased with this company (at a premium) due to the delivery schedule they communicated before payment. Not only did the order get delivered over a MONTH after the specified delivery date with 4-5 additional missed ETAs, but they provided completely false status updates of the shipment to keep me on the hook.

They were telling me the shipment was in Arizona one day, then that it was with UPS "Final Mile" another day...the shipment wasn't even in the US yet when they told me this. It hadn't cleared customs. Neil made sure to remind me that "there are NO refunds" for my wire transfer the entire time. They wouldn't provide me any customs or overseas shipping documentation. I didn't get any actual documented proof that the shipment even existed until almost a month after it was supposed to be delivered...after asking multiple times for it.

Once the shipment FINALLY arrived, the product quality was nowhere near what had been represented to me. I was extremely detailed about the specifications of the product I needed upfront, sent reference photos, and reconfirmed specs multiple times for the special order. They sent me a couple blurry photos of some units that roughly matched the specs, but the majority of what they actually sent me is completely unusable. I'm guessing they just middleman the payment at a premium and never even inspect the order themselves from their cheap supplier overseas. After sending photos showing how clearly and completely they missed the agreed upon specifications (that are even stated in ALL CAPS on the invoice), I tried to work with them on a partial refund for the unusable units...they shut down any opportunity of good faith immediately.

Deplorable company. I'm not sure how they've managed to stay in business for 6 months.
