Everyone is very switched on and helpful and the experience of floating down a river or canal for a week is the best.
If you're going to have very hot weather, go for one of the Horizon range, which has great living space and an air-cooling system that uses the river temperatures to cool the boat.

Our fantastic 1 week holiday on the Canal du Midi in France was enabled by the excellent customer service provided by the Le Boat team. The information and support provided throughout, enabled us to easily select a route and boat that was perfect for our needs. The information pack and boat familiarisation training at Port Cassafieres was efficient and thorough, and tailored for first time users. After an extremely enjoyable trip along the canal the check out process by the team at Trebes was then quick and efficient.

July trip at Laggan, Scotland
We recently returned from a wonderful week-long trip with Le Boat in Laggan, and overall, it was a fantastic experience.
The cruising route was absolutely beautiful, and the staff at the Laggan base were very helpful. As complete novices, we found the idea of captaining a boat quite daunting at first after a 6 hour road journey. It is worth noting for future travelers that you do need to be reasonably fit, as handling the ropes and locks requires some physical effort and care.
To be completely fair, the boat itself was a little tired and showing its age. However, considering the very reasonable price we paid, we felt this was completely fair and expected. It was clean, comfortable, and fully functional. We had a brilliant holiday and would definitely book with Le Boat again. Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous trip on the Rideau…
We had a fabulous trip on the Rideau Canal. We picked up a horizon, three model and went north from Smith Falls to Ottawa and back. the boat was clean and relatively easy to operate. Had all of the basic amenities that we needed for the week would highly recommend le boat. The staff were very friendly and helpful!

Fantastic Experience
From questions prior to booking to arriving at the base and departing at the end, the customer service was wonderful! We had a fantastic holiday cruising the Rideau with our upper teenage boys. It was lovely exploring the small towns and relaxing onboard. The boat was easy to manage and I can't wait to do it again!

Booking a LeBoat made easy
Rang LeBoat in case there were any boats available, which were not on their website, for a specific date. A helpful agent said there weren't, but worked out a special deal for one of the boats they had on a different day. She was keen to make sure we had everything we needed for our trip. Very good customer service.

The service and support was brilliant from booking to checkout.
Boat was really well equiped ( Horizon 2) super size fridge for plenty of beers.
The shower was actually better than some hotels we've stayed in and the bed was really spacious and comfortable

Everything was as expected for a trip on a hire boat. The boat performed well. The Shannon itself is the problem, with not enough mooring places and congestion in places like Athlone and other spots on the lower Shannon, even out of season.

In 2025 we took our second trip with le…
In 2025 we took our second trip with le Boat on the Canal du Midi this time collecting the boat at Port Cassafieres then heading east towards the Etang de Thau. Even though the weather was extremely hot, the A/C on the boat kept us cool at night as long as we were plugged in to the electricity at one of the small ports such as Meze on the 'Etang'. The booking process had been efficient and the handover of the boat was also efficient although we did have to wait a little while at the departure point. All Le Boat staff were extremely helpful.
