The less Schwab on matt loop in Medford…
The less Schwab on matt loop in Medford is upselling people things they don't need on their cars and trucks.
Avoid
Took my Honda in to get the brakes checked. I made the appointment online and dropped it off. Roughly 15 minutes later I received a call from a technician. The call went like this: " Technician: Hi this is (insert name) with Les Schwab, it looks like we can get you fixed up for $86.00, we need to replace X Y and Z but that will be $86.00. Me: Ok Ill agree to the quote of $86.00." The next day I went into pick up the car and was told it was $453.00, I immediately requested to talk to the person I had spoken to on the phone.
He came out and was adamant that he never said $86, he said it twice and I repeated it once. Am I really in a he said/ she said argument with a reputable company? I asked him to pull up the call so we could listen to it and easily resolve this issue. He then stated they do not record calls. He offered to place old parts back on my car which I refused. I briefly stated how this situation was BS, paid and left. I emailed the corporate office hoping they would have a recording of the call but they were no help. Their email is shown below. This place is a joke. Avoid them at all costs, and if you cant avoid them, only agree to quotes you see on paper as in an email or print out. They can run this scam all week on Reunion residents.
Good afternoon, Jason,
Thank you for reaching out and I apologize for any trouble you experienced in our store.
We do not record our phone calls, so I will not be able to hear what was communicated; however, I do find this very odd. I do not see any invoices, work orders, Quotes, or modifications to the invoice that reflect the price you say they quoted you. We also do not offer any brake job that costs $86.00. I'm not sure where the issue originated or how this would have been communicated at such a dramatic difference.
Since I would not be able to decipher the conversation from here, I would strongly suggest meeting with the store manager to discuss this further. He would be able to look into and investigate with this further with the employee you spoke with. Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else from me.
Thank you,
Nate
Les Schwab Headquarters
BEWARE Unnecessary repairs!!!!
BEWARE SCAM WARNING!!! Les Schwab, 2360 S. Chambers Rd, Aurora, Co ... Have used this location since it opened. Get my tires/brakes done here...recommended to family, and they use them... NOT ANYMORE!
06/21/22 at 10:15 I took my car in to rotate new tires. Was informed estimate 168001449xx that I needed new brakes including rotors $736.42. Concerned, because our son uses the car for school, I had our family mechanic of over 20 years take a look...because less than three years ago I had that all done by the same company. Well, guess what... the car doesn't need them... Not a thing wrong with them. Called and spoke to the manager, the guy who told us we needed new brakes, was let go for falsely telling folks they needed unnecessary repairs. His words, not mine. Won't ever use this location again! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!!!
I have nothing but good experience with…
I have nothing but good experience with Les Schwab in multiple locations (even though I did not buy tires from them): free flat tire repair, free tire rotation and free pre-trip inspection. I know where I will buy new tires when I need them in the future.
Les Schwab or More Schindler?
I was charged for a service that I did not approve. When I let headquarters know of my concern, they denied it and accused me of lying. I do not recommend them.
Horrible sexist shop!!
Horrible sexist shop!!! Treat me like because I am a woman I'm must be dumb about cars and I can be pushed around!!!! I have used les Schwab for years but after today never again. I had to fight over a warranty last time and now this. Went in for a flat ended up being side wall damage cool I was gonna by a new one then the lady came out and said I needed both front tires I'm like ok the one front is under warranty she was oh well you don't have to replace it I would just recommend it. I'll go ask my manager . Next thing I know there refusing to honor the warranty because " the alignment" but yet I was in there just a couple months prior for the so called other front tire that needed to be replaced till you found out it was warrantied and no one said my alignment was off then let alone it wouldn't cause significant damage in such a short time. Once again you tried to upsell me then refused to cover the warranty for the second time.
haha and it gets even worse!!!!! as I am looking for a place to replace my tire I look in my manual and I realize that they have been selling me and putting the wrong size and with tire on my vehicle!!!!!!! So the side wall damage and the constant issue of having sidewall damage and needing replacement is due to your lack of ability to put the correct tire on my vehicle!!!!!
Save your money and your family's safety
I am a competent mechanic and engineer. Occasionally i like to have little things done to save me time. But i also like to test the competency of the companies i do business with.
Les Schwab failed worse than i have ever seen on tests I've conducted numerous times with other businesses. Moreover how the company reacted to finding they were being tested was even more surprising.
I would bring in my truck without a brake caliper pin in, an important component. And do the pre trip safety check as well as brake check. Conducted numerous times i was always given a clean bill of health. I even asked if they could get be a caliper pin on one service just so it would be on the record that they were missing it.
Coil spring seat. I removed a coil spring seat and complained on my vehicle leaning. I was offered ball joints shocks and tie rod ends.
Which I might note were all less than two months old. No employee even noticed the missing seats.
I asked for an alignment and was denied for crown nut pins, a 5$ trip to O'Reilly's fixed.
I expressed my grievances pretending to be a no nothing consumer and was told a polite corporate ," not our fault, we don't care"
And a literal "Our team members aren't trained enough to see those things"
When I dropped my act that's when things really got interesting as a shouting match ensued with a crazy eyed service manager over my, "deliberate sabotage of my own property" and how "it's impossible to drive without those pins" concluding with me leaving with the conclusion to call corporate.
Corporate was even more shocking, a coarse voiced man with a bad attitude continued the
verbal assault of demonizing me for the "deliberate sabotage of my own property"
Which concluded in the statement of "we don't want to do business with someone whose going to double check our work and test us"
In conclusion it appears Les Schwab tires wants the quick cash and lack of accountability that comes with inexperienced or uninformed consumers. Always looking for the next person that just doesn't know better.
Great customer service as always
I was on my way out this morning and tpms light came on
I went to Les Schwab due to previous experience being excellent
They are short staffed but still went out of their way to be courteous and helpful.
They were organized and were at the door at 8am asking each customer how they can help then getting us where we needed to be
I only had to get air in my tires thankfully
He was very courteous and informative
Great place
Quality company with quality tires
I have always went into Les Schwab needing simply a new pair of tires but left always with so much more with their kindness, quality, and care for my vehicle. Always an A+ experience.
