Lack of customer support or answering the phone!

Now I am going to be completely real. I have used Lexham a couple of times, and honestly, they sometimes pull through with good insurance quotes.

The problem with these guys, especially in the last year, is the lack of communication and support for their customers.

I have probably sat on hold for an accumulative four hours just in the last week. It’s ridiculous. It’s as if no one works there, or all the employees are just messing around and not doing their job....

if you like me require phone help good luck and don't even try. I have left a complaint but no response I have now cancelled all my policies with them and will choose not to work with them going forward.

ridiculous.

Fully comp and didn't even pay out any…

Fully comp and didn't even pay out any amount near the bikes value. Everything was sent in that they asked for. Bike was stolen. Lost transport for work for months and this company even though taking ridiculous amounts for fully comp insurance do not look after their customers and fight any genuine payout... AVOID alot more better insurance companies that look after their customers when needed! The payout won't even cover a bike at anywhere near the same value as the one that was insured! Quick to take money, promise the world and when it comes to a genuine claim do everything to shit on you. Avoid!!

Absolutely shocking they use a company…

Absolutely shocking they use a company called marble arch if you claim

Grandsons motorbike with only 6500 miles on the clock, it's worth to replace is 4k they paid only £2600 we raised a complaint they kept asking for us to provide the same bike for sale with the same milage, as it's low mileage we struggled, but eventually sent in three, one with 4k miles one with 9k one with 10k they insisted it must be 6500
So we appealed complained they came up with an excuse saying we haven't provided a receipt of purchase
They never requested one, they asked for two keys the receipt for the disc lock v5, NO RECEIPT REQUEST
ABSOLUTE CON
we contacted lexham they don't answer emails as Marble Arch deal with customers after they've taken your money, they ignore you
My Grandson has lost his transport to work & not recieved the fully comp pretection he paid for
Nothing for extras no hire bike absolutely nothing
Be warned they must do this as common practice

I notice lexham have replied with a email address
I've emailed a few times and not received any response whatsoever, so find this pointless
Lexham what can you do? Absolutely nothing he paid for a service he hasn't received

Do Not Respond To Phone Calls or Emails

I have been trying to contact Lexham Bike Insurance since the beginning of July due to becoming unemployed and not being able to afford the monthly payments at the time. So I wanted to speak to someone at Lexham about what to do, and what my options are. Then the next thing is, the insurance has been cancelled via a document uploaded to my online account. No contact about this, nothing.

I cannot get through on the phone using the numbers on the website, as it just cuts off whilst waiting. I have also sent a message via the online contact form and still no response. Online chat is useless as well.

Why is nobody answering my calls or emails, as I need to speak to somebody urgently about my bike insurance. It has been going on six weeks now without being able to get through to speak to anyone at Lexham

Extremely frustrating experience with…

Extremely frustrating experience with Lexham Insurance – appalling customer service

I sold my vehicle and have been waiting for my refund, but trying to get any response from Lexham has been incredibly frustrating.

They issued a cheque to an address where I no longer live. I have already informed Lexham that I am no longer in the country and therefore cannot physically receive or use a cheque payment. I have explained that I simply need the refund transferred to my UK bank account, yet I am still having to chase them to get this resolved.

Thankfully, they have at least stopped the original cheque, but everything since then has been unnecessarily difficult.

What I find particularly surprising is that, when I originally paid for the policy, Lexham presumably had the relevant payment/account information on record. Yet when it comes to refunding money that is owed to me, I am apparently being told that they cannot simply use the payment details or account information they already have and instead I have to go through a separate process over the phone.

If there is a legitimate reason why they cannot refund the money using the original payment method or existing account details, then they should at least clearly explain this to the customer and provide a practical alternative.

Instead, I have been left trying to sort this out while out of the country, and I am still making international calls at my own expense to try to get someone to deal with it. To make matters worse, they are not even answering the phone.

Apparently, the only way to arrange the bank transfer is over the phone. In 2026, it is frankly ridiculous that something as straightforward as changing the refund payment method cannot be requested or arranged through their own website.

I have explained the situation repeatedly. I have told them I am overseas, explained that I cannot receive a cheque, and provided the obvious solution of transferring the refund to my UK bank account. I have even gone to the trouble and expense of making international calls — and still cannot get anyone to answer and resolve the issue.

I am simply trying to receive money that is owed to me. Why Lexham has made this so unnecessarily difficult is beyond me.

The lack of communication, failure to answer calls, and complete lack of flexibility for an overseas customer is extremely disappointing.

This has been a very poor customer service experience, and based on what I have experienced, I would seriously think twice before using Lexham Insurance again.

Charged twice!

The app crashed out at the purchase payment final section, I didn’t get a notification to tell me if the purchase had been successful or not . I assumed it hadn’t been processed correctly so went through it again, where it didn’t crash and was successful this time, I received a notification to tell me it had been successful. I later checked my bank app to discover that the first transaction had also been successful and I have know been charged the full annual price of £312.14 twice. I tried to contact you last night via the contact number but was on hold for over 45 minutes until the lines closed. I have now sent you an email but will apparently have to wait up to 48hrs for a response and for my refund to hopefully processed and returned. I can’t really afford to be out of pocket and need the refund asap. Not a great start.
