Delays to lab turn around - had to be regularly chased
Results are not accurate - you cannot test intolerances by blood test. An appointment with allergy consultants revealed I only have 2 allergies.
Life labs food restriction advice would have left me with an extremely limited diet, despite already having lost a considerable amount of weight due to health issues i was trying to make sense of. Something life lab were informed of.
This fed my anxiety around foods. For some, this can lead to disordered eating and poor relationships with food.

I suffer with bloating and gas and have tried to eliminate certain trigger foods from my diet myself, a friend recommended me to lifelab and I had the full body test. It was easy to order and it arrived quickly and was easy to follow. I thought the results would come in an email and it was only when I went into my account that I realised that the results were available on line! Anyway a few Allergys and a lot of intolerance results set me to wondering what I was supposed to eat and in a bit of a flap🤔back on my account and realised I was entitled to a half hour nutritionist phone consultation. I have spoken to Lorraine this evening, she was extremely Knowleable and helpful and gave me loads of tips and advice, I can't thank her enough. An excellent service throughout.

So I finally got my Lifelab Testing allergy and intolerance results, my first sample I didn’t give enough blood, plus Royal Mail postal strikes Christmas and new year, oh and I forgot to activate my second test 🙈 but after the lifelab team did some investigation I got my results!
I had a feeling Tomatoes and eggs would be on there as both these set off my geographical tongue, cabbage and green beans threw me a little bit these are both mild intolerances so not to worried, horse hair was a surprise but I’ve never been around horses so I wouldn’t have known! Cashew nuts I only eat in small amounts so was surprised to see I was highly intolerant to those.
I’m going to eliminate most of these foods from my diet and see if my digestion improves, I’ve had tummy issues for most of my adult life so hopefully this will help improve those symptoms!
All this from a simple scratch of a finger.

I am battling with customer services which is persisting in being as massively unhelpful as it can be. The phone remains permanently unanswered with a message saying the line is closed and opening hours are between 6am, and 4pm. Obviously I ring between business hours and the phone is never ever answered. The system of activating my code as on their web site does not work. Hopeless in terms of administration on every possible level. Please do not use them
