It's easy to create your project on the website- very easy. But the delivery service has not been good- not sure if that's a LULU or FedEx issue, but I still haven't gotten my book, so I find it funny... See more

I am very disappointed with my recent Lulu online delivery service.
There were several problems with my order:
1. The delivery time was shown as 10:30 PM, but my order was delivered only after 11:00 PM.
2. Two items were missing from my order. The delivery person told me that the amount would be refunded within 7 days, but I still have not received the refund.
3. I ordered kiwi fruit, but the fruits were completely unripe and not ready to eat. I have been unable to eat them even after two days.
4. I contacted Lulu customer care and also tried the online chat, but I have not received any proper response. It seems the customer service is always busy.
This is very disappointing, especially from a well-known company like Lulu. I request you to please investigate my order, process the pending refund immediately, and provide compensation or a suitable resolution for the poor-quality fruit and delayed delivery.
Please take this complaint seriously and provide me with a proper response as soon as possible.

I want to be clear upfront: as a pure print engine, Lulu does good work. Their physical book options, binding variety, and trim specs are among the best in print-on-demand. But the moment you encounter an operational or compliance flag on their platform, the entire customer experience disintegrates into an automated nightmare.
I have been dragged through an endless, circular support loop regarding account and verification hurdles. Rather than connecting you with a human administrator who can diagnose a simple issue and apply logic, Lulu hides behind scripted ticketing gates, automated compliance flags, and bot-driven verification checks. You get generic, canned responses that fail to address the actual problem, leaving you stuck in place with zero real-time escalation path.
If your project flows through their system without a single hiccup, Lulu works fine. But if you hit a technical glitch, verification flag, or account check, be prepared to waste days—or weeks—fighting a wall of automated scripts. High-grade paper quality doesn't make up for non-existent customer support.
Fix your support architecture and give your authors access to actual human beings who have the authority to resolve account issues.
Update: LuLu left a reply, deleted it, and then fired me as a client. They refunded money I didn’t even ask for and then left me with their administrative mess to clean up. This is what you can expect from Lulu. Avod them. I’d now make it one star if I could. They become children when you speak up and act out of spite.

Publishing with Lulu has felt genuinely supportive. Their team is kind and quick to help, global distribution is smooth, and the cover design tool lets you create something professional without paying anyone else. It makes self‑publishing feel simple and encouraging.

Good experience with lulu.com, so far so good. I think there is a bit of delay in follow up and not enough tailored response.

Lulu made it easy for me to print a book.
I still have problems with the cover.
That could use some improvement.

I never thought I would find a company that I would be able to publish for personal use until I decide to put my book for sale, awesome service, simple and easy to use. Highly recommend! Very very very happy and satisfied. Words cannot express how much gratitude I have for this publishing company. High quality printing, delivery service is great!

when setting up my book for publishing a hard copy (print book) you do not offer a template for a back of book blurb - also no place to put a self pic of the author - need to set it up more like Amazon's self publishing - expand your templates please

I never authorized the distribution of one of my projects on Amazon. Instead, they removed it from my Lulu account — it was no longer visible to me, nor could I manage it — and put it up for sale on Amazon without notifying me, despite my express wish not to sell it there. On top of that, they listed it with a cover I never approved.
I only found out because the book was already on sale. I reported it immediately. At that point they restored the project to my account, and I withdrew it from distribution entirely.
Here's the real problem: support keeps telling me the book is no longer available — but it isn't gone. The book is still being bought (I have evidence of actual purchases) and it's still purchasable as a new copy. For print-on-demand this is impossible: there is no stock to deplete, since every copy is printed only when someone orders it.
No one has ever explained how a project I never authorized was distributed and sold under my name with a cover I never uploaded. They reply with canned messages, close tickets without resolving anything, and never provide written confirmation. I would not recommend them to anyone who cares about keeping control of their own work.

I like that thorough resources are provided, but I am totally in control. The only issues I have ever had is that some of my books have not been given global coverage because of silly little things. However, this is a minor, minor issue. The service is great. I love it.

First, as a Canadian, I was concerned about crossing borders and sought out a good Canadian authored website. Unimpressed.
Then I looked at Lulu based on the fact that you have grown to the extent that you can utilize printers around the world.
Your website is well-written and (so far) not infested with overdone marketing A.I. It was very helpful for a newbie like myself to create a book quickly with minimal effort at the publishing end.
Finally, I was gobsmacked at the speed with which the order arrived, conforming to my own business ethic of under-promising and over-delivering.
