Rubbish Logistic
Not only does the review box not post your whole review for a book, despite it being well under 1,500 characters; when trying to create an account, it doesn't send a varification email.
16:15 Manage to log in at last after receiving a reply from LULU but still unable to submit a 500 character review. This time a dialog box popped up saying: "Lulu encountered an unknown error. Please try later." So, still rubbish and doing a massive disservice to its authors.

Getting one's book accepted for Global…
Getting one's book accepted for Global Distribution is a pain - and it's getting worse.
1. Lulu frequently forget that a book is 'pending' for GD - three times I've had to remind them that a book has been pending for six weeks or later... and after the reminder a decision is immediate.
2. Rejection after rejection because their skewed printing places the text on the spine slightly off-centre, despite Lulu's Book Preview showing the text placement exact and perfect.
3 And only today: "Missing ISBN on Cover ~ The ISBN barcode was not detected on the back cover." This despite the ISBN barcode being ON the back cover and shown in the Book Preview.
I suspect that forgetfulness and idiot decisions are due to idiot bots. Any more of this and I'll go elsewhere.

Generally a very positive experience
PROS: Love their website as the platform is a lot easier to use than Amazon and less buggy too. The cover designer is a breeze and extremely user friendly for amateurs like me. Printing houses I contacted always found big problems with adapting my cover for some reason, but not Lulu. I basically just slipped in the images for front back and spine and hey presto, it was done!
CONS: 1) The lack of any communication to provide an indication of progress on the printing and delivery of orders is something that this company could improve on. It appears they might be using Third Party printing houses located in the country or state of the customer, which is okay, but the emailing of updates on progress as a courtesy would be appreciated. 2) Their AI robot is hopeless. It often provides entirely the wrong information, then it automatically closes the case, which some customers might consider rude. If you want to chat with a real human you have to email back, which does at least happen within 24 hours. I am not complaining about the human contact aspect. I am complaining about the apparent stupidity and rudeness of the AI chatbot.

Worried
My order placed 10 days ago has not been shipped yet and I have no tracking number. On all previous occasions (and I have been dealing with Lulu for many years) within a few days of the order being placed I have been notified that it has been shipped and I have a tracking number. This time I have not recieved anything but an Order Confirmation which came instantly. All attempt to make contact with Lulu to see if there is a problem with the order have ended with an AI generated message which has been useless.
