The staff were great and very helpful. Through my program I feel like I've learned a lot and I don't think I could have had this experience anywhere else at least where I am from. Everything was very well structured. However, I do think that my program could have been completed in a shorter duration-.

I believe that Lumiere Education offers a really extensive and helpful program that allows students to have a taste of what writing a research paper is like before entering college or university. Not only is it going to be a valuable asset in your CV, but being able to work with so many wonderful people and mentors along the way really makes this program a special one. You can be reassured that whenever you need help or are stuck with something, the staff, your mentor, and your program manager will always be there to support you very passionately. I had a really great time with my mentor, and the writing team also helped me a lot in fixing my revised paper. Everyone was full of energy and always willing to help, so you will never feel alone or demotivated while perfecting your research paper! I just want to give out my sincere gratitude and offer a part of my experience in the program, and you should definitely try it out for yourself to see!

I think what made it great was the idea of able to work together with a mentor and also not having strict schedule problem. However one thing to work on is the writing workshops as I think it is nesscary to have a bit more writing workshops.

The teachers are very nice and they always support and provide me with useful suggestions and feedback

I was able to express my curiosity and pursue a project that really demonstrated my potential and capacity to learn with the guidance of an expert. Having someone to guide me, teach, and just overall support me throughout the process was priceless, and this experience gave me a really amazing view into what it means to do research. One thing I would want newcomers to know is that you should be prepared to read a lot, and to take the time to dissect difficult papers because that's how you learn.

The program structure is great. They make sure to divide the research paper into small chuncks to make it managable. Also, they are very lenient with deadlines and make sure that the priority is the quality of the paper. Additionally, I loved my mentor I had, who was willing to have conversations with me outside from the task at hand and about life and biology in general.

My experience at Lumiere
Something that made my experience great was being able to have access to my mentor's help and guidance whenever I needed it on my paper, and how we had various internal deadlines that were manageable to help us complete our research paper successfully.

My experience at Lumière was incredible. The staff were always supportive, and my mentor in particular guided me every step of the way. It wasn’t just about producing a final paper. I learned real skills I’ll carry forward, like researching effectively, structuring an academic argument, analyzing sources critically, and writing at a higher level. Lumière gave me both confidence and tools I know I’ll use long after the program

Lumiere is an excellent place to learn not only about research but also about topics that you are deeply passionate about. Through the process you're guide by people that make it more enjoyable.

I learned a lot of new skills that will guide me through life during this amazing experience. It was something new for me and although I was quite scared at first, it turned out to be much different than I expected. My mentor and program manager aided the process and were always there if I needed help. Their support made it much easier. Even with zero experience in the past with research I managed to finish the program with success. Let me introduce myself first, I'm Maya Aomar, a senior in high school 2026, I participated in the Lumiere Research Program when I was a sophomore in high school, as part of the summer Individual Research Program. It was the best thing I've ever done and the best decision I've ever made. When I think about Maya before and after the summer, I see a huge difference. The Lumiere experience was one of the best experiences of my life. I learned what a true researcher is, the meaning of time management, and the meaning of communicating with others. I was previously an unsociable, taciturn person, but Lumiere transformed me into a person with a lot of energy. I met some amazing people, and the program staff was encouraging, helpful, and motivating.
Lumiere isn't just a program where you learn how to write a research paper. It's a program that develops you in many ways: socially, culturally, and academically. Through my research on recommendation algorithms, I learned where mathematics intersects with data programming—the secret to the digital personality, which is the user's mirror.

What distinguishes the Lumiere program is that it opens the door to opportunities to enroll in prestigious universities. Graduating from this program will provide you with a strong background that qualifies you to enroll in the university of your dreams. Lumiere has been an amazing experience. The mentors are highly prepared and always ready to guide you whenever you need it. They make you feel supported at every step and help you grow both academically and personally. I’m very grateful for the constant encouragement and for all the opportunities this program has opened for me.

Lumiere was such a bizzare experience for me, my mentor was well prepared and in each session I learned something new!

There are a lot of advantageous insights, which was gained through this program. First of all, the support that provided by program manager and mentor. Additionally, there was few moments when I couldn't be on the track with the deadlines. These moments as program have taken this into account, I was able to complete the task by postponing the deadline. Therefore, this provided me a great chance to be able to accomplish not only Lumiere but also successfully write research paper.

Extremely good support from the support group and writing center. Insanely good mentor. I was given a full scholarship, and I am super grateful for this opportunity

I was part of the Individual Lumiere Research Program, and it’s safe to say I’ve learned so much! From working with a PhD student who is genuinely passionate about the field I’d like to pursue, to conducting my own research, writing a strong research paper, and double-checking information to ensure it doesn’t mislead the reader. On top of that, I read lots of papers related to my field of interest and my chosen topic. Overall, it was such a valuable and truly enjoyable experience.

My mentor helped me understand my research topic of focus, learn the structure of a research paper as well as other types of papers, refine my writing, and help me gain insight into the publication of a paper. All of these experiences will help me with my future research in many ways. I’m so grateful to have gotten this opportunity.

I really loved how much attention to detail my mentor had because it allowed me to figure out where I needed to improve, gain the relevant skills and learn so much more about my field.

The program manager was a delight, very supportive and kind alongside every person I worked with, during my interviewing process, I felt very confident and reassured due to the patient and pleasant nature of the interviewer. My mentor was also really great help, and I enjoyed working with him. I got to learn a lot and develop new skills, I'm also grateful for the fully funded financial aid I received. The whole experience was amazing, and I would love to do it again.
