No VAT receipts!!!!

Absolutely abysmal customer service and borderline illegal accounts procedures. Bought some items to export for our new business and not only were VAT receipts not provided or downloadable at point of sale, but after having to waste time calling customer service to get them, was told they "might" be able to get them to me within 7 working days, like VAT receipts are a luxury bonus and not a consumer right. We urgently need the receipts for the extensive post Brexit customs nightmare paperwork, and our shipment leaves in 3 working days. How can a company operating under a giant like NEXT have this poor an accounting service for something that should be an automatic download? Utterly unprofessional, appalling service and customer service. Will never buy from them again. Steer clear.

Eden sideboard - damage and very poor quality

I ordered the Eden sideboard and all I can say is that the delivery and collection arrangements (arranged by next.com anyway) were excellent. The sideboard arrived very badly damaged in two places and where the veneer pulled away it clearly revealed the cheap MDF that the sideboard is constructed of -moreover the black rattan stripes which looked very stylish in the web site in reality looked exactly like I’d stuck gaffer tape across - maybe to keep the poorly aligned doors shut !? An overpriced shabby piece of furniture and the fact that it arrived in such a state with more damage than possibly can have been caused in transit suggests it was dispatched in this way.? The damage to one side appears to have been caused by the sideboard getting wet , yet the packaging was not . This has been a terrible experience and if I could give a zero star I would.

So disappointed in made.com

So disappointed in made.com and their furniture. I ordered a drawer chest six years ago and it came fully assembled, very solid wood. I was happy when I saw made.com is "back" but I am shocked about their quality- I just got a £400 drawer chest I had to assemble myself, it's not real wood and quality is awful. Once assembled you cannot return. It's utterly shocking to charge these prices for quality worse than IKEA. I will not order again!

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. Visited the showroom to see a pendant light in real life. Liked the colour and style so ordered on the website for next day delivery.

I booked an electrician when the parcel arrived, who came and unboxed the lights. Made.com had sent a completely wrong item in the box.

They seem to have sent one of the glass pendants from a different model of light. It should be orange, but they've sent white and the wrong shape.

As I already had the electrician, I had to commit to getting it fitted, or I would have to pay double for installation, but I got in touch with Made.com via the support to tell them that one of the glass pieces was white, rather than orange.

Made.com wouldn't just accept me returning the wrong glass piece they sent, they insist on the whole unit being returned, which is now fitted.

I sent them photos to show their mistake, but it was no use. I wanted to be able to just return the wrong pendant for replacement.

I'm stuck now with an odd looking light fitting unless I pay for an electrician to come and remove it, one of the pendants is completely the wrong colour and not what I purchased.

Terrible product

Terrible product. You need a masters degree in furniture making to put it together. They obviously know people are going to leave reviews like this on their website so they don’t allow you to write any, even though when you click on the review link they state that no reviews have been left for this item. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere

Defective item but super customer service!

I had ordered a floor lamp that went on sale which had 3 different coloured glass (pink, green and blue). I ordered to my local Next store for free which arrived the next day super quickly! Once collected, I went ahead to open and noticed the box seals and wrapping looked rather untidy like it had been opened before. This was only confirmed when I noticed 2 of the shades were both green (missing the blue shade) and also, on 1 of the green it had very noticeable defects which resembled unfinished paint all over! I suspect this was a return that someone made for the exact same reasons I had to return mine. Was very disappointed and frustrated that this was allowed to be resold without proper quality check beforehand.

Contacted an advisor on the Made.com website as I wanted a replacement - noted this was now sold out but a new model was on the site too (looked exactly the same), so the advisor promised I could repurchase this at the full price and they would offer the price difference of the original sale item I had ordered. I did just this and now own the lamp in the correct shades with nil imperfections! The stars are purely for the advisor (Susan) who was so understanding and helpful throughout, very prompt to answer my queries and initiate the refund. I was so grateful to her - she definitely deserves recognition for her customer service skills! Thank you again Susan!

My first experience with Made.com was overall a positive 1 despite the earlier issues & I would definitely buy from again.

Customer service / faulty part

I kept a product originally ordered by my ex in a separation and was unable to order a spare part for a poor quality piece of the furniture due to it having been originally ordered by my ex. There should be a much more simple process to order a spare part for situations like this.

Made.com is no longer what it was! AVOID!
I have recently bought another armchair from Next/Made.com, an exact copy of an armchair I had bought from Made.com before they went bust maybe 3 or 4 years ago. The one I have got is lovely and comfy, I always wanted another one (should have bought 2 in the first place!!). Well, the armchair was delivered 3 weeks late and the armchair is not what it should be. It's flimsy and so uncomfortable to sit. The worst part is that I have to pay up to £60 to return it!!! What a disappointment.

Awful customer service

The light arrived broken. They failed to pick up my return 3 times with no explanation as to why they didn't turn up. Even rung up on the morning of the 3rd day and they said it was prioritised. Now they won't even return my emails or online messages. Last time I'll ever order from Made.

Missing items and very very poor quality

Ordered two chest-of-drawers. One had missing screws etc. The other had no screws and things at all. We tried to put one together and it just wouldn't hold - no pilot holes, poor quality materials, thin and fragile. Unbelievably poor - just junk really. So disappointing was really looking forward to it. They handled the complaint poorly. Offered me 20% discount to source the hardware myself!! Then told I had to wait ten days for someone to collect. So now we have to store this junk for ten days.

Giving it two stars as they did at least answer the 'chat' and the poor woman on the other end was I think embarrassed.

Halina chairs

Since their website won't allow reviews, i have no alternative but to write one here! Recently too delivery of 4 Halina chairs, which were well packed. However, assembling took an excessive amount of time aligning the screws with the frame & chair .. the last chair to assemble had not been through quality and is being returned , however the downside to this, I am required to dismantle 1 and return as a set of 2!

I am so pleased with the rug it is…

I am so pleased with the rug it is absolutely beautiful, very good quality, feels lovely with bare feet!

We love the quality of our purchase and communication during the delivery process was very efficient.

They're clearly sending out faulty items hoping people won't notice

Really sad to say that Made.com just isn't the same. I still love their designs but I've bought two items recently and both are faulty. Very noticeably faulty.

The armchair I bought was scuffed and the glass light had holes (plural) in the glassware.

I see from other reviews that I'm not the only one receiving faulty items.

I won't be buying from Made again.

Had high hopes for the return of Made.com

Absolutely horrendous delays for the Harlow sofa and chair.

Ordered was originally placed back in August with an expected delivery date of the 18th of October.

I was called by next on the 8th of October to advise there’s an issue with the product numbers and the order had to be cancelled and the order replaced, this gave a guaranteed delivery of the 21st of November… a few weeks later (surprise surprise) a letter through the post - your new delivery date is now the 4th of December!

Completely unacceptable and I have little faith we will have the items in before Christmas, the delivery dates advertised on the website are completely false. Won’t be ordering from here ever again and will be cancelling the order if it’s not delivered by the new scheduled promised date. Such a shame as the items look lovely but the delays and poor customer service really let it down. 👎🏼
