We think the high street and expensive designer brands give consumers a raw deal. That's because everyone along the way takes a cut, from agents to landlords. And you - our discerning customer - pay for that cut. So we're making a stand: taking on the high street to offer you original furniture design at affordable prices. Here's how we do it differently:

2 out of 3 items purchased were faulty

2 out of 3 items purchased were faulty, but bad timing - in the meantime the company went bust. the new company doesn't take any responsibility for the faulty items - even though they are selling exact the same models. waste of money on non-lasting, poor quality products, that I'm sure did not change with the company take over.

Absolute disaster of a company

Absolute disaster of a company. Order a sofa and the delivery was delayed and then the sofa was left in the rain when I was on holiday. Absolutely terrible and not helpful customer service. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Item never arrived

Item never arrived, after 6 week window. I had to contact them after the delivery date, since there was no communication from them in the time since I ordered, and their website still claimed the original delivery date. They said "sorry, it's been delayed by another 6 weeks due to a supplier issue".

Unacceptable delays

If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Ordered a couch on the 14 April and was told I would hear from them before the 8 June with a delivery date.

Checked in with them twice leading up to that date and was reassured that it was on track.

Chased them on the 10 June, was told it was fine and to be in touch in a few days as it was ready to be shipped. Chased again on the 13 June to be told that the estimated delivery was now October, meaning there was a significant delay and if I were to reorder the same couch online again, it would give me a quicker delivery date. They offered me a £30 voucher.

After requesting formal comms the date confirmed was 20 September. This is 17 weeks from the initial order date, despite the estimate being 8 weeks. I know someone who ordered a couch in Covid and got a quicker timeframe than that.

Utterly hopeless, unacceptable and will never order from them again. Reviewing their socials and trustpilot rating now, I wish I had avoided them from the start. They clearly still have supply chain issues despite claiming they don’t.

Incorrect Color of Haru Sofa and Poor Customer Service

I ordered the Haru Sofa in a specific shade of grey as shown on your website. Upon delivery, I was dismayed to find that the color of the sofa was completely different from what was advertised. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that the discrepancy was due to the bright lighting used in the website photos, which made the sofa appear differently than it does in reality. This explanation is unsatisfactory. Accurate representation of product colors is a basic expectation when shopping online, and I believe that your website should provide true-to-life images to prevent such issues. I had no choice but to return the sofa, which I did not like due to the color difference.
Adding to my frustration, I incurred a total cost of £45 for delivery and collection. It seems unfair that I should bear this expense for a mistake that was not mine. I believe it is reasonable to request a refund of the £45 to cover these costs. I am very disappointed with the service I have received from Made/Next This experience has significantly diminished my trust in your brand.

I spent almost 2000 pounds at Made.com…

I spent almost 2000 pounds at Made.com and have had a consistently terrible experience. First, I was told I'd have to wait 3 weeks for delivery, then without any warning I was told it would be almost 2 more weeks. When it finally arrived, the dressing table (worth 600 pounds was broken). I called up to get it taken back and exchanged, another week ... And we have to be home again. Ordered another mirror for 200 pounds, arrived totally shattered. And now I have to wait 2 weeks for them to collect and replace it. And the best they could offer was a 50 pound giftcard. For a company with high prices, the quality should be far better. Extremely frustated and disappointed

Laminate porous top on Jenson table

Review of Made.com Jenson table.

It looks like real oak and was marketed as ‘real oak legs’ (saw no mention of laminate on the website or I would have chosen a different table).

We decided not to use a table cloth as it would be a shame to cover the lovely table.

It started bubbling up and getting cracks within just a couple of months of careful use. It seems to be a very porous laminate.

Not a suitable material for a kitchen table top.

Do not purchase furniture from this company. Terrible service and damaged poor quality items.

We ordered 3 sofas, via Next who now owns Made.com, waited 7 weeks for them to come. Only 2 turned up, 1 was apparently "lost".

We were told we had to wait another 8 weeks for this "lost" sofa to be made again. 8 weeks without a sofa that we ordered and they "lost", and what did they do to make up for this error they had made? Offered us a £30 voucher. So that will just about cover the cost of a throw pillow from next, while half of the family sit on the floor in the living room in the space where the sofa should be for 8 weeks? (Like most people, we had given away our old sofa the day before delivery to make way for the new ones)

Unacceptable.

To add insult to injury, one of the sofas that came has damaged fabric, there seems to be a flaw in the fabric, leaving these very obvious pitted marks all over. Made.com s response (via Next) Oh we will send you a replacement sofa. In 8 weeks.

I would absolutely not recommend purchasing from this company, I have never had service as poor as this when buying large items before, and the £30 voucher offer to make up for having nothing for half the family to sit on and a damaged piece of furniture was just an insult.

Shockingly Poor Quality Product

The item (purchased through Next) was supposedly from their made.com brand so I was expecting good quality however this couldn't be further from the truth.
The panels were very thin, the edges were not finished very well, the drawers wobbled when you used them...overall not a very solid unit and very cheaply made. I could have spent half this money and got much better quality from other retailers.
This is the second time I have had a bad experience from Next furniture so they need to sort out their suppliers as I wont be using them or MADE.com again.
Customer service were very understanding and helpful though (almost like they know their products are poor)

Terrible delivery service

Would be no stars if I could
Having moved all my furniture and stayed in all day the delivery drive decided within 4 mins that the sofa didn't fit.
It was going to be tight getting it in my not impossible, they wouldn't listen or try to turn the sofa in order to get it in. Would not un wrap it.
I have now been told by customer services that they can unwrap with a customer waver and they should have made more effort.
They then marked my the sofa and chair as too big and proceeded to allocate my chair (which never came off the van!) To someone else so I can't have it redelivered for 6 weeks.
No phone call as promised, I've had to call them. Nothing should have been done with my order until they spoke to me.
Order cancelled and I will never order furniture from next again.
Terrible delivery service

Awful company

After owning a bed from MADE for only 3 months, the bed collapsed. I obviously contacted MADE customer support for help, and they arranged for Homeserve to visit to understand the problem.
The Homeserve technician stated that the problem was with the fact the instructions did not clearly demonstrate how a leg was meant to be installed correctly, but then reported to MADE that it was an invalid claim. MADE did not contact me to tell me that it was an “invalid claim”, i had to chase them up after receiving no contact on their behalf.

They told me that they could not send any parts due to it being an “invalid claim” and then proceeded to ignore my emails when i was asking how i was meant to know how the leg was meant to be attached when the instructions did not say. MADE continued to ignore my emails for 2 weeks, until i contacted my friend who is lawyer, he then wrote an email for me stating how “I maintain that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 I am entitled to a refund. This is because:
1. The bed was never of satisfactory quality(fundamentally flawed design and materials not of sufficient strength to support the loads involved)
2. It is unfit for purpose (again, flawed design and weak materials) and
3. It has not lasted a reasonable length of time – barely three months
I look forward to receiving a full reimbursement and trust I will not need to take the matter to the small claims court.”

It was only after that email that MADE replied to me and offered either a replacement or refund. MADE clearly does not care about their customers or the quality of the products they supply; they only care when threatened legal action. After a month of chasing them i finally received a refund. never again will ever buy from such a disgusting company and i advise others to do the same.

What a bizarre experience

What a bizarre experience - ordered a floor lamp that came in 2 parcels. When it was delivered, parcel 2 of 2 was delivered twice. I called customer service and told them of the situation - they promptly dispatched a new order and told me the 2 parcels delivered would be collected.

Revised delivery arrived, only for 2 x 'parcel 2 of 2' to arrive (again). Delivery service were only told to collect 1 of the original parcels, so I was left with 3 rather large boxes in my living room. Contacted customer service again, they apologised and told me they would send a note to the distribution centre to make sure this didn't happen again.

Alas, the third time around the exact same thing happened - I refused delivery and asked them to remove all 3 boxes. Currently waiting on a refund.

It's a shame as it was a lovely product, but clearly something's wrong with their system. 2.5 weeks wasted waiting for the right item to arrive.

Wardrobe missing rail and faulty board

The wardrobe we ordered arrived without the rail and one of the boards is already chipping, so pretty poor quality considering the premium price tag. We ordered via NEXT and they couldn't send replacement parts.

Item is: Pavia Natural Rattan Single Wardrobe with Storage Drawers. Avoid buying!

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I have ordered a sideboard 2 months ago. The first time they brought it with the wrong doors. When I called they explained that the doors were out of stock and that's why they brought different doors. They reordered it. The order was cancelled after a few days. I called them and they reordered it again but this time I had to wait for 6 weeks. When it finally arrived the doors were wrong again. They tried to make me look crazy when they said that this was what I ordered and then I realised that the one I ordered was discontinued. They told me that they would arrange a return in 2 weeks and then I could get my refund. I explained that I wasn't happy to wait another month for the refund while I already paid 2 months ago for something I didn't order and they keep lying to me. I really liked made.com but I won't order from them ever again.
