Outstanding customer service
I sent an email to Magix just hoping they could do something for me. But I honestly thought it wasn't possible. I recently purchased a new computer but since I had downloaded Sound Forge 11 Pro some years ago and since I got the download from Sony's website. I sent an email to Magix and to my surprise Ralf Hentschel contacted me almost immediately and asked me for some information to see if I had purchased it. After a couple tries the information he asked for did confirm I had purchased it. He sent me a link to download it and he gave me a code so I could activate my original purchase. Ralf was just amazing in helping me right away and being sensitive to my question and RaIf was amazing in taking care of my problem immediately and went above his normal work to help me. I would not hesitate to purchase another program from them. I couldn't recommend them more. The best customer service I have ever had.

Company that was long ago owned by japanese sony and now when it is bought by german trashbag deveoper company it was frozen in time with their idiots just messing up stuff and making life for editors harder with all the new bugs and lags. When every online tool can remove background, they are introducing so called AI background removals just to show that they are doing something but they are actually not capable of developing notepad. Avoid at any cost and dont even think of purchasing something from these idiots. This company deserves to be burried forever

I've been using Samplitude Pro X Suite since Pro X3 Suite. Currently using Pro x8 suite. Magix support has always been there to answer my questions and help me with support issues. Sometimes it took a few days to respond but at least they came through. My only gripe is I'd really like Magix to pay more attention to the stability of Samplitude Pro x8 and Pro x8 suite. There seems to be lots of driver issues and instability anomalies in past versions but so far I have Pro X8 Suite running flawlessly on my system. Fingers crossed. I have Reaper too and there is no DAW IMHO that offers the rock-solid performance that Reaper offers.

Impossible to contact the company for a refund
I bought the latest Magix Video Movie Studio 2025 software and I have found it to be totally unusable because the interface and instructions are flawed. I was promised when I bought it that if I wanted a refund then I needed to claim within two weeks. I did that and have received no reply at all. I have emailed Six different email addresses and they've all ignored me. I cannot possibly recommend either the product or the company.

I have bought and upgraded Moviestudeo Platinum three times so I consider to be a loyal customer. However since paying to upgrade to MovieStudeo 2025 the rendered video that it produces is VERY JUDDERY. So I signed in and sent a message to the technical support on 2/2/25. I received a confirmation message immediately but then NOTHING. Terrible service so my advice is to buy elsewhere.

I purchased a year of Vegas 365 or whatever its called last year. I had no idea it was a reoccurring year over year subscription that automatically charges you. (I was under the impression that you pay for a year of the service and you keep the latest version of Vegas at the end of the year.)
I had no notification that renewal was coming up or any sort of heads up, when I looked at my bank statement and saw a transaction I didn't recognize, I dug a bit deeper and realized what it was. I reached out to support saying I haven't even used the service for 6 months and want my money back, as I didn't want to renew for another year.
I was told basicly, "It's not our problem, you should have read the terms and conditions closer, we wont refund you but we have canceled the subscription so you won't be changed in 2026..
Just use adobe instead. Wouldn't risk buying anything from these guys.

Magix bought Sony Vegas editing software, within a few years the entire Sony Vegas editing software was destroyed. They no longer have any function.
Ei mistään löydy enää movie studio platinum 17 kaltaista editointi ohjelmaa. Joku movie studio ohjelma löytyy, mutta sillä ei ole mitään tekemistä movie studio platinum 17 kanssa. Teidän ohjelmat on kyllä Suomenkielisiä, mutta ohjelmanne on oikea sekasotkuja
There is no editing program like movie studio platinum 17 anywhere anymore. There is some movie studio program, but it has nothing to do with movie studio platinum 17. Your programs are in Finnish, but your program is a real mess.

Thinking of upgrading to Vegas Pro v 22 - Beware!
I have been a loyal customer of Vegas software for over a decade, starting with Studio which I was very happy with, then one day I was tempted to upgrade to the Pro version which was 19 at the time and have had problems ever since.
On Vegas Pro 19, the rendered audio channel often added a click at the end of the clip, which I had to edit out every time. I lived with it, but was them advised that they were aware of the problem, but that this had been fixed in version 22, so invested yet again in the next version.
What a mistake!
I now don't have the click, but have a sudden blank in the audio, part way through several clips.
As if that wasn't bad enough, I now cannot input any of my videos from my Panasonic camera, with the m2ts format - it inputs tha audio, but not the video.
After many hours of editing my latest video, I went to render it onto my Blu-ray disc, and the Blu-ray option has been removed. I complained about this on the Helpdesk, and was told that the Burn Blu-ray command had been removed - thanks a bunch.
Normally when you UPgrade to a new software version, you expect to get enhanced functions, not removal of important commands or functionality.
The only option I was offered was to ask for a refund.
Customer focused Companies correct faults then issue free patches - not make you buy the next version!
Be warned.
