Non-delivery of alstroemeria plants
Shop to fulfill my order since Nov. 2020. They keep saying they will reorder and then when I ring again they say they have sent it, which they haven't. After at least 4 'phone calls I gave up and asked for my money to be refunded as I had lost confidence in this company. They said I could only order something else but would have to pay postage, which I refused. They are just con men.
Magnolia Genie will it ever grow.
Ordered Magnolia Genie and potted Lily of the Valley.
Nothing wrong with the packaging, but plants not looking great. However the Lily of the Valley did eventually grow and flower. The Magnolia looked like a dead twig, and 6 weeks later it is not showing signs of any vigorous growth. There’s a minuscule bit of green showing at a leaf joint, but it seems very slow, so whether it will have any successful growth I’m not sure. I have kept it indoors in good compost. All my Magnolias out in the garden have already flowered, so this Genie is very disappointing.
Beware Beware Beware
Do not order from this company. They accept your order, take your money and then cancel your order saying it’s not available. You have to them chase them for a refund. Why take the money if the item is not available. At present when most people are struggling nobody wants to keep their money in someone else’s bank account when they can use that money themselves.
Ordered compost
Ordered compost. Took the money then cancelled the order con or what still waiting for a refund three days later
I wish I had read the reviews
I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. I placed an order which was accepted by their website but was cancelled the next day due to what they said was an error on their site. When I queried the legality of this they quoted something in their terms and conditions. Obviously they do this a lot but because I do not like companies that do this I am complaining to the Mail head office
Another order cancelled after they had…
Another order cancelled after they had taken the money.
All I can say is CONMEN.
Order Cancelled
Disappointed, they cancelled my order, after accepting it !
Order Cancelled
Company accepted my order, and then canceled it several days later without explanation or apology. Will never do business with them again. Still have no received refund as of writing either.
Order cancellation after taking my money
Ordered 2 bags of compost. After 3 days of waiting, email cancellation saying it is not available. Why did you accept my order and take my money in the first place? Avoid this shop for all costs.
Issue dates…
Am in general very well satisfied but would like to see the dates of issue when viewing the products online. Is there a reason why not.
Missing item
Hi. I ordered an Orla kiely facemask too and still haven't received it. Emailed customer service but no response. How do I get a refund for my postage please? Thanks.
“Lavender worth £12.99 for free,” con!
The offer of “Lavender worth £12.99 for free” is a con. When you apply for it you have to pay £6.99 for “postage”!
How ridiculous! Nearly 7 quid to post a few seeds. The Mail obviously thinks its readers are intellectually challenged.
After weeks of trying finally received…
After weeks of trying finally received a reply back from Mail Shop with contact details for Clifford James regarding the Hedge Trimmer. Thanks for that. Unfortunately due to me being a few weeks outside the guarantee not interested. used on 6 occasions to trim the hedge I guess that's not what it was for?????? Waste of money.
Still nothing
Its now been 2 months and 5 occasions I have contacted mail shop in regard to a complaint each time I am told its being dealt with by one of our top help advisers.
Still nothing. I will never make a purchase from this company again.
Bought a couple of standard holly…
Bought a couple of standard holly trees. Special offer £50 instead of £75. Looked good in the photo. Upright, shaped round. Loaded with berries..
Reality? Badly pruned, shaped like flattened pancakes, ARTIFICIAL berries wrapped around the stalks. Apparently this has been a bad year for pollinating holly trees! Says so in the letter. Didnt mention artifical berries in the advert. Email sent complaining and asking for money back. Wait and see. I suggest you do not buy these trees.
Ordered 2 Orla Kiely face masks and…
Ordered 2 Orla Kiely face masks and neither arrived. I do not believe they were ever sent, supposedly lost in post!
They were going to send a confimation e-mail of shipment and nothing received. As this would be automated they never left.
Returned postage money to me but this is not, in my opinion , satisfactory I asked for proof of postage and no reply
Personally I think it has been a big con They bit off more than they could che.w

Further to BOGOF should Be BOSOF
A you can see from the original review, I received a reply from Mail Shop. I duly emailed them with a forward so they had full details of the whole sorry saga Sent: 30 September 2020 11:11 To: email address in reply exactly as requested. Do you think I'm suprised that I'm still awaiting any response?
Orla Kiely masks
I ordered three Orla Kiely masks and have received none of them. I have waited and waited. I have tried emailing them but received no response. I would like a refund but can't find a phone number to speak to someone. Really disappointing.
Update. After I received the reply below the money went into my account really quickly. Upped from one star to three as it is finally resolved. They admitted it took too long and were apologetic.

Lost? I don't believe it!
Along with many others it seems, I was told that my two orders for Orla Kiely face masks had BOTH been `lost in the post`.
I'd emailed MailShop twice and received separate but virtually identical replies.
It just seemed unlikely at the time that two parcels had both been lost (I'd hoped that there were two parcels - I'd have been even more unhappy if they'd put two in one package after I'd paid two lots of p&p!).
Mailshop had already admitted that they'd had greater than expected demand for the masks, so why not just admit that they didn't have enough to fill the orders and issue refunds?
Better to be honest than try to put the blame on the Royal Mail!
Or maybe I got lucky after also reading other complaints about the size/fit/quality of the masks!
Orla Kiely Face Masks
Exactly the same as so many other people - ordered masks, not delivered, email 3 times to get any response and then told to wait 28 days for refund. Abysmal promotion in conjuction with very poor customer service.
Sums up the customer service. Following the Mail Shop Team's response below I emailed my order numbers as requested and received in return ......... the standard automated reply stating the masks have been lost in the post and I will be refunded within 28 days. Farcical.
