Greedy scumbags

Greedy scumbags, trying to extort music fans. Well it’s all backfired hasn’t it. I hope it was worth the extra few grand you made. PR DISASTER

Disgusting behaviour

Disgusting behaviour. Hope nobody books all the rooms that have been cancelled. Can't even admit what they've done. Wonder how many more excuses and lies come out of their greedy mouths. Reading other reviews they not very hygienic anyway. If anyone wants to book a hotel go elsewhere. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with what they're done. I'm sure decent clean hotels are going to be much more affordable. If it was a technical glitch which I doubt give them back to people who already booked for their original price. Scavengers

Pure greed and lies

Hotel booked in Manchester just as a gig was announced. Booking confirmed. Gig was announced and the room was cancelled. Put on again for over 3x the price. Excuses made around technical error and overbooking but fundamentally, they saw an opportunity to make more money and took advantage at their own existing customers expense. Hotels do this, but a chain like this should be called out and boycotted. Don't book, it may very well happen to you. Pure greed and profiteering.

Booked Maldron Hotels for an upcoming concert a while ago, as we got closer to the concert date the hotel decided to cancel my booking and relist it online at 3x the price, citing technical/system errors.

Completely fraudulent and illegal.
Do not book here.

Maldron Hotel Newcastle

Maldron Hotel Newcastle. We stayed here as a party of 6 with 3 rooms. The hotel is fantastically placed right in the heart of the city, with hundreds of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The customer service was exceptional from Victoria in particular and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Newcastle to stay in this hotel. We will be back again that's for sure 😁😊

Not a sports bar 😂

Arrive at the hotel Belfast international airport reception staff great ❗ after that downhill 2 of the bar staff were Very good and friendly 👍 I and several people asked for the televisions to be turned up just a little so we could hear the commentary on the Euro football only to be confronted by I believe was the bar manager saying this is not a sports bar this a hotel bar and it's company policy not to turn up the television above 15 on the screen the so called ambient music was louder than that all in the bar asked and given a definite no so quite a few got drinks and went off to their rooms to watch the game however a comment was made relating to them game then rest of the bar staff felt embarrassed by the the reaction of this bar person not great customer service also whenever standing at bar drinking direct from a bottle of water and not using a glass in front of customers says it all oh I am not a buddy we are clients paying good money 😡 this person needs customer service training ❗❗ bar food very poorly presented and overpriced even I could cook better chips end of the bag came to mind and bread stale and warmed up chef what chef ❗😄 bedroom nice one dirty pillow changed when I told reception and ironing board and iron was brought whenever requested the bed it's self has seen better days overall not great value for the money we paid including food and drinks over 200 pounds

No customer service at all

No customer service at all, not even a bad one just for the sake of having some. I've sent 3 emails already just to be ignored.
Apparently they spent all the money on those bad ads you see around and now there's nothing left to hire people to answer it's customers.

Stressful experience!

I booked this hotel in Dublin and they charged €1 on my card as pre authorization check. Few days later I had to cancel the booking within the terms and conditions but they kept the €1.
They told me it'll take 5-10 working days (from 26/4/24) and today 16/5/24 I still haven't received anything. They're making excuse after excuse and I'm wasting time for 1 euro!!!
This is causing stress and anxiety and I will never use Booking.com or this hotel in future!

Tone Deaf Customer Service

On Tuesday, 21st March 2023 I booked a room (via Booking.com) for a one-night stay at the Maldron Hotel Newlands Cross in Dublin on Christmas Day in preparation to heading to Dublin Airport on Saint Stephen's Day (Boxing Day). On Wednesday, 13th December I rang the aforementioned hotel to enquire what time the bar was scheduled to close on the night of the stay. Needless to say, I was flabbergasted to learn that not only was the bar not open... neither was the hotel. The rep acknowledged that she could see my booking was indeed legitimately registered and went on - following speaking with her manager - to book me into a sister hotel in the Dublin City suburb of Tallaght (further away from where we needed to be prior to our flight to the USA). To our dismay, during the check in process at this alternative dwelling, my wife and I quickly learned that the assurance I was given with regard to the bar being open until 22:00 was incorrect. I relayed this information but got a slim insincere apology. We weren't even offered a complimentary breakfast - regardless of us not being in a position to avail of due to our flight itinerary - as a small gesture. To make make matters worse, my wife and I had absolutely no access to onsite food/snacks or liquids as even the vending machine had an "Out of Order" notice displayed. The final insult was on our way to reception to check out, the reply to a "Good Morning" from both my wife and I was "Good Morning Sir".

Maldron Tallaght

Rooms on second floor booked 2 family adjacent when checked in our rooms were separated.
Rooms were not the cleanest very dusty with a musky smell, with stains on the carpet, room seemed outdated. Requested new towels and toilet roll, had to go down to reception to get them myself. I understood it was Christmas time with reduced hours and staff so why charge more.. for the high price it was a big standard stay here. Premier Inn is better than the Maldron.
Breakfast was breakfast nothing to write home about. I would book the the hotel down the road.
Staff that were working were lovely very polite.. shame the hotel isn't
Outdated needs updating, save yourself some money and book the premier inn
