Good afternoon,
Good afternoon,
I have been researching online and have found that there are more cases like mine where Mango Pay has taken people's money, they never get a reply after submitting the form and you don't take care of it.
I think it's a terrible service for you to be in partnership with a bank that is in the business of scamming and ripping people off.
They have tried to contact them so that my case can be resolved and I can have the money that belongs to me. I repeat, my item is in the hands of the customer and my money is being withheld by you for no good reason. This is illegal.
There is a limit to my patience, if you do not resolve this matter soon I will have to contact the relevant authorities.
It is not fair that you are playing with the people who trust your platform like this.

Can anyone on here pls tell me if they have had anything back at all from mangopay on Vinted if they have what did they have to do I’m a small buisness and they have ripped me off for £1,000 this money I worked hard for so technically if the customer receives the item and we don’t get paid by Vinted surely this is theft ? Same problem as everyone else vinted/…
Same problem as everyone else vinted/ Mangopay withholding my money it's only £54 apparently I reached the selling threshold and had to verify my ID I don't drive my passport out if date I've sent them loads of legitimate ID and got nowhere lost count of how many messages I've sent now vinted are ignoring me I've told them I don't want to sell anymore I just want my money that's owed to me from selling my unwanted items can't understand how they are getting away with withholding people's money it's outrageous
Temporary technical issue…….
I’m a private seller on Vinted and never had any issues until this week with one od my completed sales - the money won’t go from pending to allow me to withdraw. £275 which is probably my biggest sale to day. Yet other smaller transactions have gone through absolutely fine. Vinted (who specialise in being as unavailable and difficult as possible) have said there is a temporary technical issue but looking at complaints online it’s been going on for a couple of weeks. The feedback on here scares me from using Vinted again for larger sales.
Mind you it’s a great way for mangopay to earn interest on the money that they are withholding from sellers!
Update 19th Dec - after making a complaint to the citizens advice consumer service who passed it on to my local trading standards - they kindly emailed the legal email address at Vinted about my case. Within an hour the money was in my available balance. Customers shouldn’t have to do that to get a decent service from Vinted but am relieved it’s now over.
Payment received by mangopay (expatrio)
Complete Scammers
MangoPay and Vinted are working together, to steal people's money. Won't accept any ids or details for withdrawal of funds. AVOID AT ALL COST
embezzlement scam
over two weeks spent submitting legal documents to
vinted to get verified by mangopay in order to withdraw the money made through the app. Business has been running 8 years and operate with paypal, stripe and shopify payments however Mangopay don't accept any legal documents provided in order to get verified. I have provided goverment issued passport ID, driving licence, every document from companies house/hmrc. This is embezzlement. It is illegal.
Never use MangoPay or Vinted - they withhold your money - a total scam
Approximately one week ago, I received a message from Vinted stating that I had reached my payment threshold (whatever that is) and needed to verify my identification by sending a copy of my passport or driving licence - please note that a few weeks prior to this, I was asked for my National Insurance number which I supplied. I duly sent a copy of my Passport which was instantly rejected. Re-reading the instructions, I send another photo of my Passport (not really understanding what I had done wrong) and that again was rejected. I week on, I have sent photos of both my Passport and Driving Licence 10 times now and I am no further forward. I have been in contact with Vinted and have hit their automated response on a number of occasions. I finally managed to get through this and received a response from someone from Vinted who sent me a set of instructions to follow. Again - all my attempts were rejected. I have got to the stage where my frustration levels are now boiling over. Vinted owes me £40 odd pounds from my sales that they have withheld until my identity is confirmed. I now believe this is a complete scam where this is a quick and easy way for Vinted and MangoPay to make a quick buck. From thinking initially Vinted was just great - I would now never use them again. Customer service is terrible, when you have a real problem, you cannot talk to anyone and I certainly would not recommend them to anyone. I will be going back to eBay from now on. I just wish I had read the Trust Pilot reviews prior to engaging with these companies - if I had of done, I would not have gone anywhere near them.
Terrible service
Impossible to get verified Vinted PRO identity, lost thousand of euros, frozen on Vinted account while Mangopay doesn't allow even basic ID confirmation. RUN AWAY if you can!
Avoid mango pay and vinted use . An excuse to take your money . What a scam.
I see I am not the only person who uses vinted mangopay.it worked ok.Until I got to the thousand pounds sales verification procedure where only identity forms you can use are a passport or valid driving licence . I have repeatedly sent a copy of my old paper licence as I don't have a card one . This has been refused over and over . I had a conversation with vint ed customer service where they started getting rude and offhand about why my verification kept getting refused saying add your passport photo . I said I don't have a passport but if you do my or don't drive then you can't use vinted . Had I known this mango pay were so badly reviewed and take people's money I would never have used vinted. I am shocked to see how many others are being refused verification as a excuse to.take people money this is robbery !!! I tell vint ed this is my hard earnt money from.selling unwanted items not theirs . They have no right to refuse valid identity documents . They really need investigating I will be sending complaints and dealing with the ombudsmen seeking legal advice
If you want to ruin your business, choose MangoPay!
Same problem as everyone regarding Vinted Pro. £3000 they are withholding from my business. I’ll have to seek legal action soon if it isn’t resolved. Managed to contact mangopay via email but they just have a very unhelpful response, saying to contact Vinted directly and that they don’t deal directly with users of other platforms(!!!) what a way to get out of having to deal with customer complaints and issues. Pass the blame on to someone else. Impossible verification procedure despite providing perfectly legitimate identification documents. Not only is this whole saga dragging Mangopay’s name through the mud, it’s severely damaging Vinted’s reputation too. Never had such issues with eBay who used their own eBay managed payments service and don’t rely on scammers like MangoPay to do it for them
Same as everyone else
Same as everyone else , holding vinted payout through an impossible verification process , no explanation no response
Awful
terrible AI ...what's the world coming…
terrible AI ...what's the world coming too is this the future ? Verification procedure horrendous
Another angry vinted user
Another angry vinted user. 15 times I've submitted everything from HMRC gateway from the 'about you' section, right down to the bottom, saving each one as an individual PDF before merging them together and sending as one complete PDF. yet again your saying the names don't match. HMRC shortens peoples names in certain section to initials and surname instead of the full name. but between vinted and yourselves your trying to say they don't match ???!! I cant edit government paperwork. I agree right now this borderlines theft and/or obtaining money by deception. Hundreds ,if not thousands, of sole traders who are now pro sellers, have monies on hold, are currently experiencing cash flow issues because of this and/or various other issues as a result. I've emailed mango pay and got pushed back to vinted saying it's their problem, yet vinted are saying it's mango pay who does the verification process and gives the "yes" or "no". Can you not take responsibility and sort this out as a matter of urgency?! Maybe Martin Lewis and BBC should be made aware of this. It's very fraudulent. I think you forget to become a pro seller we have to submit all these details initially, so they are good enough to open an account but not good enough to be paid out???!! Seems a little suss to me. Plus the fact that before we changed to vinted pro sellers we were private seller using mango pay then. So is this discrimination ?? Because everything is fine as a private seller but not a pro. Seems very convienent that. Why don't you step up and do something about this instead of hiding behind bots and generic responses. Your suppose to be working in partnership with vinted, right now everyone is being directed to you, SORT IT OUT !! Preferably QUICKLY!!!
Do not trust. SCAM
Do not trust. Mangopay are holding thousands of pounds of my money on vinted. They are not accepting any business documents. They are completely and utterly untrustworthy. I will be taking this up with the financial ombudsman. Do not use.
Awful experience they are holding my money
Dreadful. I registered as a vinted pro seller, I was asked to verify my identity. despite the fact that I sent them the documents exactly as I was asked, my verification was unsuccessful, I sent passport and full self assessment tax return direct as a pdf from gov website account, it contains all my personal financial info as well as the stuff they want like UTR num etc, I repeated this process 4 times as it kept failing, first couple times it failed vinted said not in date, they ask for something dated no older than three months which I thought could be the issue, however a self-assessment tax return is only done once a year and the next one is not due to be sent till January 2025 I’ve explained this to them twice but they asked me to upload it again which I did. The next fail I’m now given a reason that it is ‘not Validated’ whatever that means, I asked vinted to explain what it means and all I got was a very short response back saying ‘I’ve told you the problem please comply’ so I messaged again which was about five days ago and said please can someone look into it I can’t comply unless I know what the problem is. I’ve just had another reply saying they are still looking into it. This is my business and I have not been able to pay myself. I have thousands of pounds sitting there that I can’t access. I’ve been a business seller on eBay for over 10 years and I’ve never had issues like this. I’ve always been able to actually speak to somebody. It’s such a shame because Vinted is a great platform. I’ve been finding sales really good on there but this mango pay business is really letting them down.
The worst marketplace available
We've been working with Mangopay for a number of years now, transiting several dozen million euros a year via Mangopay.
Since Mangopay was taken over by Advent, all Mangopay's services have deteriorated: incompetent and very slow support, pricing that increases without respecting the signed contract and without any negotiation, API unavailable at least once a month, KYC invalidated by waves of 300 users without any justification, money lost that takes weeks to be recovered. It's chaos! Not to mention the KYC document validation process, which is simply incomprehensible to us and our users, who have to send a document 5 times for it to be accepted.
In short, if you're looking for a marketplace, avoid Mangopay at all costs, and choose a more expensive service provider that's bound to be more competent than Mangopay in every respect!
Scammers preventing vinted withdrawals
Absolutely shocking company holding everyone’s money on vinted. Same robotic responses no actual help. 1 star is very generous.
Scam company
Scam company. Stole thousands from a family member. Avoid like the plague. Vinted should be ashamed for using such a joke company
Scandalous (or should I say SCAMdalous?)
Currently on my 4th Vinted Pro verification attempt and once again rejected even though I provided a valid passport, VAT registration proof and detailed Self-Assessment forms.
They are holding hostage £7000 from my business. Legal action will be taken if this situation isn't solved soon.
