A SCAM

Never got the cheap manual I thought I was paying for but have had $AUD89 taken out of my account several times since. A scam of the highest order. Wish I could give a minus score.

Don't trust Manualfinders.com

I bought a manual for .95p (which I never received) and got charged for a subscription of £149.95 bi-monthly. They say that this was in the Ts&Cs but not very clearly as I did not see it.
After reading other reviews, I asked for a refund which was paid promptly.
I would advise anyone else caught out by this company to ask for a refund.

BIG SCAM

Like a lot of others, fell for the $0.95 one off, as it turns out supposed fee, and then find by accident 2 withdrawals on my credit card by them. Once they have your card details it's open slather for them. Contacted them and they're not interested in refunding, merely told me I had subscribed. All the fine details are hidden away and they told me I had been given several opportunities to suspend their subscription, that's a lie. My advice.....DON'T EVER USE THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!

SCAM WARNING

SCAM WARNING
I like many others paid £0.95 to download a single manual - quickly followed by a completely unauthorised charge for £149.95. I have attempted to contact them using their webpage without any response and the telephone number given is unobtainable. I also have contacted my card company, who are opening a dispute case on my behalf. Manual Finders' hide the subscription contract in their terms and conditions which says you agree to opening a subscription at a bi-monthly rate but even then doesn't show the amount but directs you to search for the current rate elsewhere on their website. Nowhere is it disclosed during your initial purchase. So far, I too haven't got my money back.
BE AWARE OF THE TRUE COST OF DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY.

SCAM

SCAM. This is awful. They take money from you and say it is a subscription and you have not signed up for any subscription. Very dodgy.

**Edited to add that after I complained I received full refund from this company.**

BE WARNED

BE WARNED! This outfit is guilty of routine misrepresentation which amounts to nothing less than outright fraud. I'm like many other people who innocently paid £1.95 to download a single manual (but in the end got more help from YouTube) - quickly followed by a completely unauthorised debit for £149.95. On contacting my bank, HSBC, who are most helpfully willing to open a dispute case on my behalf, they told me that, somewhere in Manual Finders' small print is something in which says you agree to opening a subscription at a bi-monthly rate of £149.95. HSBC say this is clear contract misrepresentation. So far I haven't got my money back but BE WARNED!

Underhand scammers

Like most other reviewers, I paid £0.95 for a set of instructions on 16th November which never arrived and 7 days later I was charged £149.50. I wrote a very formal email complaint requesting all funds were returned and today was credited back both amounts. Push for the refund if it happens to you!

Right result, but could have gone a different way.

Same story as all the others, thought i had been scammed. Phoned the London number on their website and a chap called Neo called me back 21/11 saying he had missed my call. Did not expect that!! Simply asked why they had taken £149.95. He said was in the T's and C's as was a subscription. I asked for the money to be returned, he said ok he would. He emailed me straight away to confirm the refund as a 'gesture of goodwill' the full amount arrived back in my account this morning. 25/11 definitely did not expect that!! I would just AVOID as is hassle.

BEWARE MANUAL FINDERS

Bought a 'manual' for Windows 11 for 95cents on my credit card. A few days later a charge of $149.95 appeared. This was an unauthorized charge, done without consent or knowledge on my part. It is a scam.

I wish I had read these reviews before…

I wish I had read these reviews before using them. Same experience as others, did not have the manual I wanted so I thought only £0.95 no issue. Then hit with £149.95 absolute scammers. No answers to emails or phone calls. Mastercard don’t want to know about any refund. I’m now trying another approach where I paid for goods I haven’t received. Will update if I have any luck.

It's a scam

Similar to most other reviewers, I looked for a manual and paid a fee of 95c, A week later they took $149.95 from my credit card account. No merchandise was sent and at this price I would not have bothered anyway. No reply to any emails either. It has been registered as a scam in Australia but unless people read reviews they will not know. My Bank said I had little chance of recovering this amount. Be careful !

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. I bought a manual for 95p, they are now trying to take £149.95 out of my account
There is no mention of a subscription on their website and the phone number they give is a fake one. Currently raising a dispute through my bank. Will report to Action Fraud. I really wish I had checked these reviews first.

Manualfinders.com is a scam

Manualfinders.com is a scam. I have reported them to Action Fraud. I bought a manual for £0.95. A few days later £149.50 was taken from my credit card. The company which took the money was manualfinder.com, not manualfinders.com. The manualfinder.com web site is a scam site using German language. The company which owns manualfinders.com is registered to an accommodation address in London along with many other companies. The sole director is stated to be resident in Latvia. There was no indication that I have signed for a subscription service. I have not received any invoices or receipts. Do not se this company.
