Bad performance - no refunds
The tool has a very bad performance. Everything is slow on older systems, if you want to do bigger maps than "small" (what is included in the free demo). There seems to be problems especially with Nvidia geforce cards.
There is also small content in the software itself. You can use the free packages with the free demo. If you buy the product, you don't get more content, so you must buy additional packages. Most packages have a summary of their content, but not all. Positive is, that you can build own packages with your own graphics (haven't tested this function).
Unfortunately you must fight with the support to get a refund for technical issues. A refund for discontent is excluded. You have to read the refund policy carefully BEFORE you buy this product. So if you're unsure, if mapforge is the right tool for your project, just DON'T BUY IT.
If you've technical issues, you have to invest several days to solve them. If you can't solve them, the support tells you, that it is impossible and you won't get a refund. Then the support won't answer anymore. Customers are no free beta testers!
Edit: Unfortunately I must correct my rating. I don't get my money back. So I paid 38$ for a inperformant software, that I can't use on my PC. For the ignorance of the seller, this shop is unprofessional and for me it is scam.
