I have worked with many real estate agents and I've never come across someone who's such a huge pleasure to work with as Jatin Shah from MG.
Jatin was always super professional - patient, prompt, ready to serve and inform. He was proactively helpful without ever being pushy, and made us feel in very good hands, and with a trusted partner for any potential transaction. I would wish him upon any prospective buyer / seller.

Initially we had a great experience with MG who helped us find and move into our flat seamlessly.

We experienced both noise and mould issues in the flat that were not dealt with sufficiently or in a timely manner as the landlord attempted multiple ‘botch jobs’ to fix the issue which MG didn’t oversee.

We ultimately had to leave our flat after 7 months after being temporarily placed in hotel accommodation and leaving due to the property not being fit to live in. MG could have vetted the property better prior to listing it - as it was never fit to live in but looked great at face value.

All this being said, MG were fair to deal with and tried their best - but with a difficult landlord and the council to deal with, it was never going to be a good match.

I’d recommend Angela and Greg at MG who both tried their absolute best to support us through our time with them.

But would suggest that a portfolio of over 1700 properties is too many to manage as this was apparent with some delays in responses between parties.

I’d be sceptical about using a 3rd party to manage properties again as information seems to get muddled and mixed up in translation and this leads to frustration from those who are tenants. It seems best to have a landlord who wants to deal with tenants hands on and has a vested interest in their property.

They tried their best and were fair to deal with, but should vet both landlord and properties in more depth prior to listing as I’m sure our high standards and expectations caused them many a headache.

I was struggling to find tenants for my flat and engaged Martyn Gerrard after months of trying. They advised on the correct rental for market conditions at the time and found tenants very quickly. Anthony Spittle led the campaign and was attentive and very reliable. He always did what he said he would do. The rest of the team, Marcella in particular, have shown an excellent level of professionalism throughout the whole process. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other landlords.

I have 2 properties that have been let by MG over more than 10 years and both members of staff with whom I have worked - Zoe and Jessica - have been professional and very helpful. MG may cost a little more than other local agents, but it is definitely worth it for their industry knowledge and attention to detail. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I was looking for a property in my area and went to view one that seemed promising. It was advertised by a local real estate agent Martyn Gerard as selling through the Modern Method of Auction. Somewhere in the small print on the Rightmove advert it said that it was being sold via IamSold and that a winning bidder will be required to pay a 4.5% fee (on top of the purchase price) to IamSold upon winning the auction. I was only wanting to look and have not yet done any in depth research at that stage as that didn't seem necessary. However, I was seriously shocked when, after my viewing was confirmed by Martyn Gerard, I received an email from IamSold that my details were now being stored in their database because their interest overrides my GDPR rights. I eventually did enough research to understand that I did not want participate in the auction. The auction did not succeed and Martyn Gerrard agents started contacting me again whether I was still interested in the property. I said that I was. I made an offer £10,000 above the price listed on RightMove, which was accepted. However, it then became clear that because I viewed the property during the time it was listed as selling through the auction, my name was on some sort of a black list, which means that if the seller were to sell to me for another year after they ended their dealings with IamSold, they would have to pay the 4.5 fee to IamSold. The sellers are a young couple with a baby on the way and from what I was told by Martyn Gerard, I understand that IamSold had previously pushed them to agree to a listing/guide price that was already way below what they were willing to accept. So even my offer that was £10,000 over the listing price is essentially low. Martyn Gerard then appeared to try to manipulate me to take the hit and pay the fee to IamSold so that the seller doesn't lose even more. The fee is around £15,000 - claimed after the auction failed and after IamSold operatives allegedly persuaded that couple to drop the guide price way below acceptable, claiming it would attract interest and lead to bidding wars. IamSold will not do the right thing and release them from that shitty contract. And i am obviously not willing to pay that. So the sale is not happening. Martyn Gerard wasted an awful lot of my time whilst not informing their clients that I was on a black list because I viewed during the time the property was listed for auction.
