Disappointed
The ordering and delivery of the watch was painless. The product is very well made and looks good on the wrist. Plenty of good comments.
However the watch needs to be constantly worn if not it stops and needs resetting particularly after a nights sleep. I had a two hour snooze during the day and when I awoke the watch had stopped. This feature unfortunately impacts the experience.

Thank you for your review Paul. The automatic feature sounds like it has not been charged fully as it should last at least 24 hours. I would suggest winding the crown approximately 30 times whilst the crown is pushed in to fully charge the watch. Then, if worn daily, it should not stop after a couple of hours. If you are not going to be wearing it for a while, a watch winder is a very good purchase to help keep your watch ticking away

As an engineer i appreciate things that are well made, and they don’t have to be expensive big name brands, from opening the box to putting on the watch all i could say was wow.
I’m overwhelmed by the quality of everything and the customer service is excellent.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The Good - Though the faces were slightly smaller than anticipated they do look quite smart, so generally happy with the 3 colours I purchased.
The Bad - I intended to change to the colour straps from the start, this was not an easy process and the instructions were limited, so this coupled with setting up the clasp was very tedious.
The Ugly - Partly my misunderstanding of how the watch works, but why anyone would design watch that stops when you take it off at night is beyond me, probably one of the most ridiculous things I have seen, needs to reset every time you put it back on.
Overall - They look smart but a lot of faffing around with the watches, you get what you pay for though so cant complain for £152 each, but I wouldn't recommend to others.

Hi William. Very pleased that you are happy with the colours that you have purchased. I have reached out to you and supplied videos on how to change the watch straps and also how to use the clasp. This is a very simple process and i think the videos will help you. The automatic functions of the watches cause some confusion. If they are not being worn daily, they will require manual winding. Alternatively, a watch winder is the best alternative to keep the watch moving and so stops the need to manual wind. We do also supply the Apex watch which is battery operated if the automatic feature is not suited to you. We have new styles of the Apex watch coming out very soon which i think you will like very much. If you still have any concerns, our customer support team are always happy to assist you.
Had a Luminex for my 40th Birthday
Had a Luminex for my 40th Birthday. I have a Tag Formula 1 Aston Martin Special Edition and I genuinely find it hard to decide to which one to wear on a night out. I would suggest buying a Maughan Jones watch now before they go up in the watch world. Cannot argue the watch you get at this price!

I had a couple of small queries about my purchase. I rang about five times, left messages on the website but did not get the courtesy of a reply. I still do not know if the watch should stop if I pull out the crown to the second stop. I still do not know if the poor luminescence is standard. Very poor customer service

The hour hand is out of line
The hour hand is out of line, the movement is a very old Miyota 8215,
Time keeping is poor it loses 10 minutes in 48 hours, more money on the watch quality and less on the packaging, the movement and watch body including the strap is available on temu, that's the quality? Don't waste your money on the fancy packaging

Eric, we have reached out to try to get any issues that you may have resolved. Your watch is covered under a 2 year warranty for any manufacturing faults and so we can get this issue easily resolved. All watches are inspected before being dispatched but sometimes time keeping issues can happen. All of our straps are engraved and made to order specifically for the style of watch. These come free with every Luminex and Apex watch as standard. These cannot be purchased on Temu to the same spec. Strap change and link removal tools are also included free inside every luxury box.
