Ellie was responsive and helpful throughout, and my items were collected from an auction without any issues. I was informed of every step of the process when it was picked up, packed, paid and shipped.
I couldn’t have asked for better service. The price was very reasonable, especially considering the amount of work involved on MBE’s side.

Expert, trustworthy packing for antiques – highly recommended
I would like to share my experience with MBE Nottingham. We have been using their services for many years, and the standard has remained consistently excellent.
We regularly buy antiques at auctions throughout the UK. In some regions we do not bid at all, simply because there is no qualified and trustworthy company there to pack and ship what we buy. In the area covered by MBE Nottingham, however, we buy with complete peace of mind.
Every item, however small, is packed individually, and only new packing materials are used. Their staff are, without doubt, highly professional and conscientious. They always meet the agreed deadlines and, just as importantly, price their services fairly and transparently.
It also matters a great deal to us that this is a family business, and we know that Michael Allen values his name and his reputation. Sadly, this kind of service is becoming increasingly rare. Many companies have appeared that do poor, unprofessional work – people who come into the trade with no background and do not realise that packing a fragile object that is 100–200 years old properly takes extensive knowledge and a great deal of experience. The team at MBE Nottingham has exactly that knowledge and experience.
We can confidently recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional service in the Nottingham, Derby, Leicestershire/Warwick, Lincoln, Grantham and Stamford areas.

Great customer service on a difficult task
I asked the team at MBE on Crawford Street to do a complex copying and scanning exercise of some very old legal documents. They were helpful, friendly and undertook that difficult job in a very effective way. Pleased with the result, would certainly recommend. Maria, the office manager was particularly helpful.

I had an appalling experience with this…
I had an appalling experience with this company. I used MBE Worcester to send an artwork to the USA. It was poorly packed and arrived damaged. They refused to pay the insurance then the franchise went into liquidation. I lost thousands. Head office were of no help and refused to get involved.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Useless unorganized store
I joined this mailbox company to receive mail and packages about 5 weeks ago. I have had 3 different packages which I received 3; different times and they were opened and resealed. This happened and after raising this with the female that runs this store she told me it was a mistake. I have now today the 30/07/26 and my Amazon package was opened and was resealed. Also I didn't receive the email to inform me that this package was received. I got there after 4pm when the store was close, but I was very upset and I then called the head office to make a formal complaint.
Do not use this store woman who runs this store is a very nasty person. Also the store should be opened till 6pm and she closes at 4pm. This should be a breach of the franchise contact surely. Avoid this useless unorganized store.

Complete loss because of MBE Chelmsford
I shipped a package with MBE Chelmsford in Sep. 2025. UPS lost the content and later found and delivered broken content. UPS only communicates with the shipper about insurance claims. MBE Chelmsford does nothing for me to get compensation. I spoke with MBE headquarters live chat several times. They claimed that they would speak with Chelmsford but it is July 2026 now and nothing has happened. MBE just hands out franchises to whoever. MBE Chelmsford's Google reviews show how bad they are. MBE doesn't care that their name gets tainted by bad franchises and I as customer end up with complete loss in the thousands!
