Everything went without problems. To have the option to return the product in a shop is very practical.

MediaMarkt.at is operating as a market place, but delegating everything to the sellers on the platform. If you order 4 different items, the chances are high that you have to:
1. Pay 4x delivery fees
2. Get 4 separate parcels from different logistic companies
3. Have 4 different return policies in terms of time and cost.
4. Have to label and pay for 4 parcels to 3 different european countries (AT, DE, CZ)
5. In case of late reimbursements, have 4 different contact partners to get your money back.

I hate Amazon for different reasons, but they solve the marketplace concept in an acceptable way, whereas MediaMarkt only collects fees and rejects all responsibilites to its traders. Probably buying directly from Mediamarkt is good, but this concept does make little sense in regards to the customer experience.

I came to MediaMarkt to buy a Garmin smartwatch. 6 of the 7 watches on the show stand were inoperable because the charging station was broken. I kindly asked one of the male customer service reps to help. He was unhelpful: "it is broken". Did nothing to try to rectify the situation, totally uncaring. He could have, for example, connect the watch I wanted to see to the working charger. Or, at the very least, sincerely apologize and promise a repair of the station.

The mediamarkt assistant who supported me in choosing the product showed excellent professionalism and high quality in customer care!

If you end up with the right employee, you have a fantastic service. We had Manuel, kind, well prepared, professional and friendly. The service delivered for a purchase of an expensive phone was perfect, including a contract well recommended.

Before purchasing I went to Media Markt at Florisdof store and over there I got the brief description of the product that I was looking to buy and I was fully satisfied with the knowledge the sales person has.

MediaMarkt’s products are generally of high quality, but their reliance on GLS as a delivery partner has been a major disappointment. In my experience, GLS is plagued by constant delays, fabricated delivery attempts, and outright lies from both drivers and customer service representatives. Because of this unacceptable level of dishonesty and unreliability, I refuse to buy anything further from MediaMarkt until they partner with a trustworthy alternative, such as Österreichische Post.
