The Mediaprobe Menace

I've been on Mindprober for a good while, and I've got to say, since they've rebranded to Mediaprobe, it's really gone downhill. The biggest bone of contention for me is the payment. What used to be a decent earner has turned into an absolute joke, with the pay per session dropping a proper amount. The whole business of waiting for payment is a bit of a palaver, and I've had a few instances where I just didn't get paid at all for completed sessions. It's a real kick in the teeth when you've put the work in and the money never materialises. And to top it all off, if the app has a bit of a wobble and a session doesn't finish, all your time goes down the drain because you won't get a penny for it. A mate of mine had a similar experience, so it's clearly not a one-off.

It's not just the money either; the whole experience is a bit of a mess. The app's become a bit dodgy—the sensor often refuses to connect, which is a right pain when you're trying to get a session done. And if you run into any bother, don't hold your breath for help. Their customer support is rubbish; I've tried getting in touch about payment and technical issues, but it's like talking to a brick wall. And the invitations for new sessions are a bit hit-or-miss as well. Sometimes they come through at the last minute with next to no notice, and other times they just dry up for weeks on end. Honestly, it's just not worth the bother anymore.

Be warned: those who respectfully contact Mediaprobe support about issues will most assuredly be blocked from participating. They have a strict no-tolerance policy for constructive criticism and do not handle feedback in a professional manner.

Biometric Blindspot: Mediaprobe’s Credit Dispute, Glitch, and Integrity Oversight

I began participating with Mediaprobe in mid-March 2025; however, the negative experiences detailed in this review have occurred within the past 6 to 8 weeks. Most notably, the specific incident regarding non-payment took place on August 20th, highlighting ongoing and unresolved issues.

I have completed between 75 and 80 viewing sessions with Mediaprobe to date 8/22/2025, reflecting my long-term commitment and thorough participation. While I appreciated many of these sessions and found the experience engaging, I remain reticent due to numerous missing elements that leave an honest participant at a loss—having fully viewed and documented assigned programs from start to finish, only to be denied the promised incentive once the saturation target group is reportedly reached. This situation is made even more disconcerting by the lack of accountability from an anonymous and generic support team.

I participated in Mediaprobe’s biometric viewing sessions for a recent streaming series, fully watching four episodes and meticulously recording each one without skipping or fast-forwarding any content—including commercials. Despite this, I was only credited for one episode, which unfairly neglects three full sessions and represents both a loss of time and value on my part.

I reached out to Mediaprobe’s support team and attached clear evidence of my full participation. While the support team’s reply was the most effort I’ve seen in their communications, it ultimately failed to address the core issues. They claimed the system logs—which they insist are final—showed incomplete viewing, and framed their credit for one episode as a discretionary gesture. I have verified there were no issues with the biometric sensor or my internet connection that could have affected data collection.

Beyond the payment dispute, my experience has been marred by disjointed and sometimes distorted communication. All correspondence has been through an anonymous collective support email with no named contacts or accountability. Requests to escalate the matter to management were denied, and responses frequently lacked clarity or failed to address my questions directly. Furthermore, real-time communication via the biometric app’s chat function has been inconsistent, with reported survey glitches often unresolved despite screenshots and follow-ups.

These systemic communication failures and data discrepancies raise serious concerns—not only for myself but for the integrity of Mediaprobe’s research data as a whole. If these issues extend beyond my experience, the reliability of data provided to current and prospective clients could be compromised, potentially impacting advertising decisions associated with programs on Mediaprobe’s roster.

I encourage Mediaprobe leadership to review all relevant app logs, chat transcripts, and email records to fully understand and address these challenges. I am prepared to share all supporting evidence to help resolve this fairly and to assist in improving operational transparency and participant respect.

Regrettably, my experience reflects poorly on Mediaprobe’s commitment to accuracy and communication, and I hope my concerns prompt meaningful change.
