Great customer service, great experience.

Looked high and low for a case I wanted for my new build, everywhere was out of stock. Browsing on amazon in the alternative sellers I noticed a website called MemoryC, who had them in stock, but not locally, which meant it needed to be sent from their US warehouse to the one in Ireland.

I spoke with a wonderful advisor Evelina who assured me that it would be 6-8 days transit to their office, and then next day delivery to me, and I was not disappointed. There was a small delay with my item getting stuck in customs which in my opinion isn't unusual, but this was soon resolved, and I was kept fully up to date throughout.

Customer service is friendly, informative, punctual and extremely professional. I could not ask for more. Thank you MemoryC!

Great customer service

Great customer service. Had to contact them after an issue with DHL express delivery adding an import/customs charge to England, which I had to pay. Got in touch with memoryc, fast replies and refunded me the amount whilst they follow up inquiries with DHL as to why my order had an additional charge.

Very smart Scam & Fraud

Really smart way to scam people.

The item I ordered from them had broken parts. Upon request for a refund they said I broke the parts. Later in the conversation they admitted they didn't really know but would ask the manufacturer, meaning they lied when they said they guessed it was me instead of taking responsibility.

Unfortunately their reviews looked 'good' enough for me to try them. Hopefully this warning will prevent anyone else to suffer this blatant fraud.

FYI, there are other reviews on Amazon talking about the exact same defect I experienced, please be diligent.

update 1:
Please observe how they responded. They've gone ahead and proven the point I made earlier about blindly guessing. They've replied to this review without reference, without an order number, without confirming any information at all exactly as I mentioned before.

I will further only address the points that do not put my safety or anonymity at risk.

There are actually many other reviewers that had the exact issue of the broken parts. MemoryC mention damaged pins, but this effectually means the board is broken, as it doesn't work. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about that?

Likewise, if you scroll down to past reviews in Trustpilot you will also see mention of the timeframe they try to manipulate as the items are delivered long after the delivery date but they try to calculate the return from when the earliest estimation date was (if I had to guess). According to the time I was shown, my parcel was shipped a week before the deadline. This might actually explain why they never answered my query when I asked what date I should use because they didn't answer that part at all, most likely to bolster their erroneous claim. For lack of a better word, these are really sketchy practices.

I thought I was the only one with issues but seems there are many. I generally read the bad reviews first before making a purchase and to be frank, I didn't this time and I wish I had. I feel so helpless in this situation. They send a non working item to me, then refuse to take responsibility for it and actually have the gaul of gaslighting. Their fallacious accusation again proves how they will say anything to avoid liability.

Please always remember, just because a company has been in business for a long time, doesn't mean that the business is honest. I guess I had to learn this the hard way, again, of needing to be a lot more diligent and and less trusting towards these places.

Update 2 (SPOILERS : I got refunded)
Why? Again, these incompetent people messed up. Instead of accepting their mistake, they tried to double down. The thing is that it's hard to do when you are wrong. Please read their response again. All points they addressed, surprise, were wrong. Times, excuses for faulty products, everything. All lies. "20 years in business with a reputation", yeah don't make me laugh. I won't ever use them again.

If you have to use them, document EVERYTHING. Record opening up the package, note the times you received the item and when you send it back for the refund. Also ignore these messages about "having to confirm if something is broken within 5min of receiving something". 5min, 24hours, 3 weeks, doesn't matter ! If it's broken, then it's broken and they MUST refund you. I wonder how many unsuspecting people they have scammed this way?
They thought they can make up their own rules to help them commit fraud? Nope, they will be held accountable. However, this is a small victory. They'll probably learn form this and update the scam.

Shame on you MemoryC. You should be ashamed of your unlawful behavior.

Many thanks for your review, while not a positive review by any means, we do welcome all reviews as they allow us the opportunity to improve our service and while we don't normally respond publicly to negative reviews, we do feel we need to clarify some points in relation to your review.

The item that was sold by us and returned by you was a Computer Motherboard that had damage to the CPU socket pins, not "broken parts" as you mention.

On all Motherboards we ship, there is a docket on the outside of the packaging that asks buyers to check the pins and report any damage noted within 24 hours of opening the package.

In this case, you did not request a return until 4 days had passed.
Once the Return Request was approved, it then took another 40 days for the Motherboard to be returned to us.

Upon inspection, our Technical Team saw damage to the pins and we advised you of same. This damage to us, looked like CID - or Customer Induced Damage. As you know, these pins are very fragile and easy to damage when putting a processor in the socket.

When you advised you were not happy with this outcome, we offered to send the Motherboard back the Manufacturer on your behalf to have them confirm whether the damage was factory or customer induced.

At no time did we say " we did not really know", what we offered you was a second opinion. We did not "lie" when we said it was your responsibility and we did not "guess" either.

In our opinion the damage is CID, but in the interest of fairness, we are willing to allow someone else - in this case, the manufacturer, to decide where the damage occured.

Finally, while we understand you are not happy with the current outcome of the Return Process, please do not accuse us of Scamming people or Fraud.

We take those accusations very seriously as they erroneously damage the reputation we have worked very hard over the past 20 years to achieve and maintain as a Trusted Seller in all market places. We work hard to resolve any issues raised with us and at all times are open, honest and fair with our customers. We are not in the business of scamming anyone.

Superb

Ordered this morning and picked up from the Kildare office before lunch.
Simple, fast, and all the items (CPU, RAM, Case fan) I needed were available. I had been following the stock of the CPU the last couple of days and saw it had dropped to '0' locally available over night, but by 10am it was re-listed as stock on hand... so I jumped on it before they flew off the shelf again.
Overall, a really great experience and someone I will buy from again for the next raft of upgrades. A nice team and good shopping experience.

There were some issues but they have a good support!

I was a customer for many years and I was always happy with their service.

Paid for new DDR5 memory, and got a used one!
Torn sticker and marks of inserting the memory. Once I get other parts I will check if these work.
On top of that, some parts are being sent from the UK what's significantly delaying the delivery.

They lost my trust.

UPDATE:
The support contacted me and offered a replacement for a new part. The used one I got are working so I don't want to wait 2 weeks for a replacement, but their offer gain back some of my trust. They said that will investigate why the "distributor" sent RAM that was opened.

In the end, I only regret that their dispatch is much slower than previously as some parts are in UK stock.

Slow to ship

When I ordered early Thursday morning at 3AM, the website said it would ship the same day. Being close to the Charlotte HQ, I expected the product to arrive Saturday optimistically or Monday at the latest.

However, the product did not ship until 3:23 PM Monday. I'm not sure why it took so long to ship.

Nearly 6 weeks and no idea when I'll get my order... …

Ordered an in-stock item 2nd April 2022. First there was a "glitch" that resulted in item being refused at customs. Eventually had confirmation that a replacement was being sent 26th April. No further communication until I chased again 2nd May. Was told to expect the item within a couple of days. Now 10th May, still haven't received anything and am now being told there is another "glitch" with the delivery company's tracking system...

Failed to deliver

I ordered on the 25th of March. First attempt failed because of a label error of their own. Second attempt still stuck for unknown reasons as of 5th of MAY!!
I gave up. Don't use them if you are in a hurry.

Very happy!

I got a new desktop PC from Dell last May 2021 which came with 8GB RAM.
I use a music program called Ableton and also Photoshop which both specify a minimum requirement of 8GB RAM.
Even though i had the minimum requirement of RAM for these programs I found the programs to be quite slow/"choppy" so I thought I should get more RAM and see if it improves things.
When searching for 16GB RAM last week on google I came across MemoryC.
I had never bought from them before so I felt a little uncertain.
But they were very helpful in the chat and I felt very positive about buying from them.

So I ordered "Crucial" 16GB Unbuffered Non-ECC Memory RAM from MemoryC. The parcel came on the date expected which was great.

I installed the RAM yesterday and it has worked out great. On opening the task manager on my computer I can see it's now telling me i have 23.8GB RAM.
And the programs I mentioned above are working much smoother and faster now. When I open the task manager while these programs are running (even with simple projects) It's telling me It's using 11GB RAM which just goes to show that extra RAM was needed. For bigger projects in the future, it's gonna be very useful :)

Ram Sticks (2x16)

I bought a pair of ram sticks from Mushkin (x2 - 16) from MemoryC. It was my first purchase and i'll be honest was a little afraid to purchase from them since i never ordered before. Everything from Customer Service (I was assisted by Staff through Live Chat every single time with every querry) and Product quality are top notch. Thank you MemoryC also i would like to thank the staff members that helped me (Aileen, Damien, Edna, Christoper) Thank you and i'll be back to order more products in the future. 100% would recommend!

thanks for your feedback. While not flattering by any means, we do accept we get things wrong on occasion, and negative feedback is welcome as well as positive as it allows us to try to be better.

Firstly, our apologies for this issue. We have not had "payment on collection" orders since the pandemic started over two years ago and we thought we had made that visible on our website, but it appears we missed the pop up box you saw that showed it was still possible.

We are sorry for that.

When the pandemic started we did not allow any callers to our offices, but when "click and collect" was allowed, we did and still do offer that as a buying option once payment is made on line when the order is placed. We no longer have the facilities to accept payments on site.

We advise customers who have placed and paid for their orders, to ring the bell on the intercom when they arrive and their orders are brought down to them at the door. We are still a "closed shop" in that we currently don't allow anyone other than necessary staff and support on the premises.

We further apologise for any confusion with regard the conversation had via the intercom. Unfortunately, through the intercom, both our customers and staff can struggle with communication. The staff we have in place are very experienced and clearly know that you cannot pay online with cash - I can only put that one down to a breakdown in communication on our behalf.

Either way, I accept that it is our job to ensure the customer experience is a positive one and I accept full responsibility that this did not happen on this occasion, so once again, I apologise on behalf of both our company and our staff.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. As mentioned, reviews both good and bad are taken on board and we use them to try and improve our customer experience, so we do appreciate your feedback.

Very slow order preparation for…

Very slow order preparation for collection ordered in the morning in hope to collect same day, but only got an email after the shop closed at 6 pm saying my order ready for collection is that a joke? and it was Friday knowing they will reopen on Monday only! Very disappointed with this
Next time I will order from Amazon at least will get the next day!!!

Bought an item on Wednesday and paid…

Bought an item on Wednesday and paid for next day delivery as I absolutely needed before the weekend. Went with an Irish seller, as I thought that'd increase the chances of getting it quickly. It dispatched the same day, and was picked up by DHL Wednesday evening. No delivery Thursday, rescheduled by DHL. No delivery Friday, rescheduled by DHL, missing the weekend. Contacted support, to my surprise other than an apology they didn't even bother to look at a refund for completely missing the next day delivery window. I'm sure they'll blame DHL (I would too), but they picked their next day delivery partner, so it's on them. Should've went with Amazon, I won't make that mistake again.

Update: unsurprisingly, they didn't bother replying to this either.

At the time you seemed happy enough with the explanation and the refund.

As mentioned, you appeared to be okay with the information provided and the refund per your last message to us on the 7th of February 2022.

Nvidia A5000 GPU works well.

Found low price on Nvidia A5000 GPU and ordered without any issues. Shipping/packing were done well and the order interface works well. There is an issue that the invoice reports the wrong value for the value added tax (VAT) which was zero for my order, but showed up to be equal to the order cost. On the main order page it shows zero and I got charged the right amount, so it is just an error in the "print" version.
