We had an extremely bad experience with this company. It took months for the affordability assessment due to John incorrectly inputting figures, lack of communication and general incompetence. We had to lead on the assessment and it ended up costing over £200 as the excessive time the assessment took necessitated having to renew the valuation on the property that was being sold. Even the housing provider said they had to provide retraining on the criteria of the affordability assessment. We could not be more unimpressed.

Vicki was amazing! So helpful throughout the process of buying and first home and will definitely be rushing back when we need her advice and help again! Thank you Vicki :)

0 stars! What a waste of my time!

We had a truly frustrating experience with Meridian Mortgages. While Nick initially gave a good mortgage presentation, after that point, the service completely fell apart. Once we were handed over to Elise and Rebecca for the admin process, it became clear there was a serious lack of coordination. Neither seemed to know what the other was doing, and we constantly had to chase them to get even the simplest tasks actioned.

To make matters worse, when we tried to contact Nick again for clarity — both by phone and email — we were completely ignored. There was no follow-up, no support, and no accountability. It felt as though once the initial presentation was done, they completely lost interest in helping us.

Buying a home is stressful enough without this kind of poor service. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Meridian Homes to anyone looking for a smooth, professional experience.
