Merit supplied and built a terrific garden office. I wanted some changes to the roof profile. This was done quickly and efficiently. The build took two days. Ed and his colleagues worked quickly and diligently. Their attitude was first class and they left the site neat and tidy. I recommend Merit without hesitation.

Purchased a shed from this company in 2022. It was installed in June/July. All in all, the shed looked okay, but there were gaps where the roof was fitted, and some of the corner pieces are too short, so they simply cut another piece of wood to make up the length. The cut ends are exposed. Then a lock barrel broke, and another door handle fell off because of a poorly tightened screw, extremely small requiring a small allen key. I raised this with Merit and commented on the quality of the locks and handles. In January of this year, someone came out and tightened up the timber. They also replaced the broken lock. In August this year, the lock has broken again, and the key won't turn and is stuck in the lock. I wrote to Customer Service and asked what they recommend. So far, no-one has responded. I find this appalling customer service and at least expect acknowledgement. I am sure you will probably now tell me I am out of warranty, but this is a repeat failure of the same component. I am extremely disappointed as the locks are not fit-for-purpose. Just cheap!

Bought this shed 5 years ago and paid extra for better felt and installation. 5 Years on and the shed is a mess. Holes everywhere and all the wood is warped even though I treated it. The felt is also a mess. I contacted them at the time and they said it was normal. 5 years is not a reasonable time for a shed one should last a lot longer than that. How long is a UK warranty?
Generally, a warranty will last for 12 months to two years, although in relation to more expensive goods, it may last longer.
Is the UK consumer law 5 year warranty?
Your Consumer rights and how they differ from a warranty and guarantee. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 states that items must be of satisfactory quality, as described, fit for purpose and last a reasonable length of time. You have these rights for six years in England and Wales. Eventually got a reply to my email with a lengthy ' it wasn't me' type of excuse. No ' Guidance' to help resolve. In a nutshell they DO NOT guarantee their products at all just in their words 'workmanship' AVOID AT ALL COSTS

One year on from having my garden room installed by Merit at Stonham Barnes and I've had no problems at all, I would fully recommend the insulated woburn garden studios

Decided to write review as I read here few different reviews and was really questioning my own decision. We got Ferndown cabin, almost paid £10k, not a small purchase. So this is week 1 review. I will post another after couple of months just in case we find any issues/ faults.

Ordering: no issues. I pre selected everything online and went for final order to local branch, helpful guy called Les explained everything to us so we knew( more or less) what we are getting.
Delivery/ build: no issues they did what they promised. Quite nice guys. Cabin was erected in two days. Looks good but do have few cracks I presume this happens when you work with this type of materials.
After care: we got help with identifying products required for treatment but I found few deals on paint online so we purchased this from somewhere else. Application of treatment and paint was easy but time consuming.
Now we need to wait and see, hopefully will still look good in 4 months. My initial experience is positive we paid extra for various insulation as I’m planning to work from cabin so hopefully will be sufficient in winter months.

I ordered a decking kit from Merit Garden Products based on price point and did not know much about the organisation. The price was more than competitive and the service I experienced was superb. One minor glitch with delivery on the support beams was rectified the same day by a staff member who redelivered on their way home! The material quality was spot on and helped to create a stunning end product when I installed the decking. If you are considering a self build decking project I heartily recommend this organisation as I found the process smooth and efficient. Thank you to all at Merit Garden Products.

They were very helpful at garden merit and will always give you instructions on how to do things and advise you
I had a couple of issues with the decking but this was quickly resolved

I received my delivery today and the driver was courteous and friendly. He checked with me where the products should be placed.

I would highly recommend Merit Garden Products and I will certainly be using them in the future.

*** Again, your driver is a liar. Our plumber can happily confirm he pulled off our driveway before you driver even got out of his vehicle. Our neighbours also have footage on their Ring doorbell. Its bad enough the awful service and product you have provided without you compounding it by being proven liars. Your company is an utter disgrace.***

*** Edited to address response: Your driver is a liar. Our plumber drove away before your driver even got out of his cab. Your driver carried a couple of bits around, my husband did the majority. As stated, your driver was too busy chatting on his mobile. As for the actual product, the quality is as poor as your delivery and attitude; cheap knotted wood, poorly and inaccurately cut to size. Buying from you was a waste of time and money. ***

Purchased a decking kit from this seller on eBay. Seller changed delivery date by email yesterday (a Sunday) with less than a days notice. Rude, inconsiderate & unhelpful driver who unloaded decking on to pavement despite us having a large driveway he could easily have pulled in to. Just as well my husband was home as I am disabled & would not have been able to move decking from pavement to the driveway.

Total lack of professionalism, absolutely disgusting service & awful attitude. Would never buy from this seller again or recommend to others.

Ordered a garden bench based mainly based on the brochure as the shop was about to close when I went in so only saw it from a distance. When it arrived it wasn't as I expected but they collected it and processed the refund within a few days, which I thought was good service and would make me feel comfortable buying from them again.

Avoid at all costs. I hired Merit Garden Products to create a bespoke log cabin for myself and paid extra for its installation.

There has been a crack in a roof beam caused by the team (which I was initially told was a split in the wood and couldn't possibly be a crack) and big gaps between the logs which let water and sunlight in between the logs due to poorly fitted wind breakers.

I have had to have the team back 4 times in 4 months and have only been able to use my log cabin for 10 out of the 16 weeks I have owned it due to leaks and problems. The finish is rough and the company tends to use bodge fixes if there are problems.

I followed their aftercare instructions to the letter and the company are trying to insinuate that the large gaps are natural and I should have been aware that because of the movement of the logs that it would not be rainproof! What is the point in this log cabin apart from being a huge waste of £7500??

Every time I have had a problem I had to send follow up emails reaching out and requesting dates as the company clearly does not care about communication in the slightest and tend to be reactive in their responses rather than proactively trying to sort things out.
I can clearly see now I am not the only one having these problems with Merit Garden Products. I cannot recommend this company at all from my experience of them.

Hi fantastic five star service from the guy's at the stowmarket branch we had two decking kits everything there. From the guy's who sorted my order to the delivery guy couldn't fault great company thanks to you all

After shopping around we decided to buy our shed from Merit as it had a good selection of sheds and we wanted a treated shed that was good quality at a good price.
Customer service was great and the delivery turned up all fine. We put the shed together easily (no bits missing etc.) and are really happy with it for storing BBQ and other bits we want out the way.

Sadly this is the second roof on an 8x10 workshop and the roof timbers are sagging again; totally inadequate roof purlins which have warped. The laps are beginning to curl out and creating holes. Overall I'd say that the quality of the shed is very poor! After 2 years it is beginning to look very rough. Do yourself a favour and buy elswhere.

Update 2023: So over time the shed is just falling apart, shrinking timber, gaps and warping. None of the tongue and grooves were engaged firmly (to cut costs in manufacturing I guess) so external boards gap!

Ordered a County Pent shed and I am delighted with the product.
The quality is excellent and looks stunning.
Experienced good communication throughout the buying and installation process with shed delivered and erected efficiently on agreed date.
Overall could not be happier and have already purchased another shed for further down the garden.

After discussing my needs with Doug in the sales team, who kindly calculated the number of boards we needed, I placed and order for 106 x 4.2m decking boards which were delivered as agreed on the Friday. For the first time ever in my experience every single board was in pristine condition. Delivery guys placed boards exactly where I asked. Very good product and excellent customer service. Will use them again in the future and do strongly recommend them. Thanks guys

Very pleased with our garden studio, it has exceeded our expectations. Kristoff & Tom were two very dedicated guys who took great pride and worked very hard to achieve perfection. A credit to the company and would not hesitate in using this company again in the future.

Ordered a replacement shed in November but I had to change the delivery date several times as the concrete base could not be done due to bad weather. Merit were very obliging changing the date several times. Shed delivered today and erected by two very helpfull young men. Nothing was too much, happy to make changes and give advise in short brilliant servicr. Recommend Marit any time! Thank you.

Excellent Service and good quality product - this is the second shed we have had from Merit and as previous experience, easy to talk to, understood what we needed and installation was all excellent. Installation had to take place without us being at the house due to covid and was installed exactly as instructions. A pleasure to do business with and would highly recommend.
