Great service, highly recommend

I run a large fleet of vans and needed somewhere I could trust to get a van in for a major service and back out the same day. Garages are notoriously hard to get hold of but these guys answered swiftly, were helpful and friendly and the booking was easy. Drop off on the day was smooth and pickup was ready as requested. The invoice was sent through for payment within minutes again any calls to chase or query progress were answered swiftly and efficiently. I cannot say how happy I was, I wish all garages were this easy to deal with. Thank you. I will recommend.

Would not recommend

Booked a car service, they called at 9:20 saying the driver was on his way to pick up my car so I scheduled a 11am meeting thinking this would be fine. Driver still not arrived by 11 despite being told multiple times the driver was 'setting off now'. One of the people on the phone suggested I leave my car key and carpark fob outside somewhere for them - risking the security of everyone else who's paid to have their car secure in the apartment carpark, terrible suggestion. Was told I'd get a call by the end of the day to rearrange, never did so just requested a refund

Stay away of this company

I recently had a highly disappointing experience with this car service company.
Dropped my car off for an MOT in the morning and did not receive any updates until 2 PM. My car failed the MOT due to a malfunctioning window washing system. This system was perfectly functional the day before and had been repaired by this same company a few years ago. It seems suspicious that it suddenly broke down after being in their hands.Attempts to call for updates were unsuccessful until around 5 PM. When I finally got through at 5 PM, I was informed that the car would be kept overnight without prior notice. This was inconvenient and unprofessional. The female worker at the reception was extremely rude, possibly intoxicated, and shouted and swore at me. This kind of behavior is entirely unprofessional and unacceptable.
Due to these reasons, I strongly advise against using this company for your car MOT and service needs. Their lack of communication, questionable repair practices, and unprofessional staff make them unreliable and frustrating to deal with. Please, stay away from this company.

Can’t fault it

Really pleased with the service - car was collected, MOT’d and serviced the same morning, and returned to me that afternoon. Great communication, great service and very reasonably priced.

Didn't bother working on my car but still charged me

booked my VW in for a full service because when I rang them the said they are a VW specialist. I went for the full service because I had previously noticed the coolant was getting low, a few days after the car was returned I was topping up the washer fluid and noticed the coolant level was very low, as I was going camping I just topped it up and checked it regularly it's been a few weeks now and the level hasn't dropped at all. They obviously didn't bother checking/topping up the coolant so what else didn't they do on my service that I've paid for. Definitely won't be using them again

Avoid at all costs!

Their tactic is to make you pay for the inspection (99 pounds) and not do any actual work. I had my car there on a Tuesday morning (appointment booked weeks prior to that). Called before 5 any they said that it hadn't been looked at. Same story next day. Thursday I got fed up and went to collect my car. The moment I arrived they said that they had looked at it and that the problem was "likely to be so and so but we would advise you to just leave it as it is". I paid the 99 quid as I had no proof that they hadn't looked at it (despite being 99% certain that they hadn't). Over the next few weeks I kept calling back to ask for a quote for the supposed issue but kept getting deflected (mechanic gone for lunch, call back, try again tomorrow, we're waiting for blah blah). Never again.

Where do i start!

Where do i start!! this garage is an absolute joke, i broke down with my car saying top up coolant, I broke down just by this garage and didn't want to drive any further as i didn't want to caused any damage to the engine.
they told me it would be £99 for an inspection so i agreed they rang me up two days later and said the coolant pip needed replacing which would be £350.00 i agreed as i tried to get it move to another garage after reading reviews but it was too expensive.
they then called back up a day later and said it was £618.00 as it needed 3 pips i said if you have charged for an inspection you should of known this at the point of the first phone call, they said because you are having the work done with us we reduce it by 50% i said you can't of done as inspection because you would have known it needed 3 pips.
i spoke with the owner who agreed to take the full inspection fee off we agreed a price of £550.00 i picked my car up on the Friday at close of business they said we haven't had time to check the work but if any light etc, come on just bring it back Monday i rand Monday morning as the engine management light came on when i drove off they said it will be £99 for a diagnostic i said it didn't have the light on when you took the car. I then said forget it io will take it to a proper garage. do not under any circumstances use this garage its a joke save yourself the stress an don't get ripped off.

Unreliable and Poor Communications

Lack of communication and truly terrible experiences of customer services (May 2024)

My car was in the possession of the garage on 7th May morning due to car shaking and breakdown rescued by RAC. Was told by them then that they would look at it either today or tomorrow. My car has been a regular customer for nearly a year. During this period, all four injectors and a timing belt amid some others have been replaced at two occassions. After roughly one day a call to know the update, I was told on Friday 10 May that the computer said the injectors are faulty and those are within the warranty period, so they have to order parts free of charge. Then no progress was reported. In the following week, I was told that they needed to inspect and check if there are other mechanics issues etc and the problems might not be the injectors. I suspect that they might not want to replace the injectors within the warranty for free. When I called to understand the progress, promises of update report were never realised. I asked and was told that they were checking and would call back on the same day but no results from the checking were reported. A lady at the reception even questioned me on 17th May when I was calling that I did not book a slot on Tuesday 7th May etc. Nothing to report so they would not call me. I could not believe about this unacceptable reply as the delay from non-transparency and non-realistic promise have been shocking. I am really concerned the honesty and competence of the services. By this time of writing (14 days later), I still don't know what is the situation of the car and when this uncertainty could possibly end.

Don’t use this garage they are cowboys

Gave the garage my car for a service and mot and also to get the air conditioner serviced I stress the a/c was working before they had it I have given the garage every chance to correct the problem and was let down on collection and then the service manager wanted to argue he was alright as he has already had payment so long and short I have now disputed the transaction with the bank don’t use them be warned

They are the worst Garage to Deal with, stay away from them, they charged be for a part and labour £222,00 when I looked up the part that cost £19.00 they had the car 1 hour so it could not have been labour, they are so expensive and back stree cowboys, avoid at all cost, when you dispute the price they shout down the phone so unprofessional

Cowboys

Cowboys, beware. I went here because they were ‘RAC Approved’. Overcharged me, never contacted me once I had to chase for answers always being told I’d be phoned back - never was. Had my car for over a month. Gave it back then the same problem existed the next day. It broke down I got it taken to another garage. I left a message over the weekend explaining it had broken down. Then emailed on Wednesday, no reply until Thursday. Paul then lied and said he was waiting on it being delivered by RAC and that they had rang him about it, meanwhile it had been in another garage all week.
Didn’t feel like I could trust them and it turns out that was the truth, they unfortunately took advantage of me when I didn’t know much about the issue. I’m still waiting to be emailed back now. RAC approved means nothing, stay clear.

Didn’t even want to give it one star

Didn’t even want to give it one star. Wish I had looked at reviews of this sham garage before I left my car with them. I have just paid these highwaymen £99 ransom to get my car back. I’ll explain later what this exorbitant fee was for.

The first thing I would say is always trust your instincts and maybe it’s my own fault - but I didn’t this time.

The next thing I would say is look at the number of negative reviews. I can assure you that it’s not a coincidence that there are so many. I suspect the positive ones maybe friends and family.

Why didn’t I just turn around and walk out when I walked into their reception area? I use the phrase ‘reception area’ loosely because it’s like a hillbilly junkyard when you walk through the door. Just picture a high street taxi office in the 80s with filthy couches and grime everywhere.

Took my car there because I had several dash warnings appear. I did a google search of local garages to me that specialise in Mercedes and Mersey Garage came up. Sounded promising - experts in Mercedes without the full Mercedes prices.

I was told there was a charge of £99 to do their plug in diagnostics but that there would be no charge once they did the work. I agreed to this as I wanted the car fixing asap.

Took the car to them at 8am on the Thursday before Good Friday and told them I was in training all day on the Thursday and to keep my wife informed of progress, costs etc. At that point customer service was fine because they told me with a smile that they would keep my wife informed who would be able to pass on info to me to pick up during breaks. I messaged my wife twice in the morning asking if they had been in touch and was told no. I then spent most of my 30 min lunch trying to get someone there to answer their phone. Finally managed to get through and was told they hadn’t even looked at it. When I handed them my keys 5 hours earlier they said they would diagnose the problem and contact my wife that morning so to be told they hadn’t even looked at the car at that point was ridiculous. I rang a few more times that afternoon and was told very discourteously that if they had information they would contact my wife.

So as you can guess it’s the end of the training day and my wife confirms that she hadn’t been contacted. I called again and asked what the situation was with my car and I was told that it needed two sensors. My first thought was well why didn’t you let my wife know that but I bit my tongue. I asked for the cost of repairs and parts and she gave me parts costs and I said to go ahead with it. I knew it was a bank holiday the following day but she told me the parts were in stock with their suppliers and that their mechanics were working over the Easter weekend - which implied to me that it would be done during the weekend.

Silly of me to assume that given what she said to me. I rang on the Tuesday morning after the Easter weekend at 09.30 for an update. He wasn’t sure what the latest situation was and said he would get an update from someone and call me back. 2 hours later and still no call back, when I rang again and spoke to the same person he gave me some BS that someone else was meant to be calling me back. Guess what? The work hadn’t even been started. Said I would call back in a few hours for an update.

Called back mid afternoon and was told rudely yet again that if there was an update she would let me know. It was at this point that I realised I should have listened to my gut instincts and walked away. I then said don’t bother doing anything now - you have had the car for at least 3 working days and have not even started work on it. I told them they were bandits and I just wanted my car back to take elsewhere. She told me it would cost £99 to get my car back and I knew I would have to pay this exorbitant fee (for which it would have taken them no more than an hour to plug into my car and which most other garages charge £49 to do) to get my car back.

When I collected my car I asked where it was and was laughingly told it was in the car around the back. The car park is actually a breakers yard mainly with a couple of customers cars in the middle.

Cowboys - make your own mind up just look at the reviews
Customer service - non existent - rude and discourteous
Value for money? Run away and don’t look back. You get what you pay for

Staff member instantly got defensive and hung up!

Avoid!

UPDATE: 04/04/24

Unbelievably, the same guy who got aggressive at me on the phone and hung up on me last week, has just called me this morning asking me if I'd like to book in tomorrow for my MOT and Service

I had to politely decline 4 times before he let me go, wouldn't stop badgering me! Terrible sales technique, gotta get him off the phones ASAP if they wanna change their reputation

Avoid like the plague!

Shocking garage with well over prices…

Shocking garage with well over prices they actually charged £200 more than main dealer and took over a month to get in touch with my warranty stay well clear they should be not allowed to trade and am gonna try do more to stop this happens to other genuine customers like my self. The staff ate great van not fault them but there not in charge of the ridiculous priced they want. They also bought a cheaper after mark part with adds to my frustration. So shame on Paul the owner.
Please people stay away.

Shocking service

Shocking service - No communication from them, vehicle left so that other vehicles could take priority without any communication about how long they would have the vehicle. The receptionists attitude is absolutely shocking! Arguing with customers because they are unhappy, disgusting service and you have lost our custom!

Had my car for 2 days for service and…

Had my car for 2 days for service and MOT Charged me 198.00 for a rubber seal the verlisity boot when I priced it up they where 19.00 for the part. When I got the car back, service light was on main bulb gone and DPFfilter light on. Did not even feel had a service

😂 😂😂 had to laugh at this back street garage as he tried to charge me £150 just to change a set of front brake pads not supply an fit only fit as I had my own genuine ones I ask him on the phone is that a joke so hung up I had to phone him back just check I heard it right and what is labour is per hour as that was scandalist

Horrendous don't waste your money or time

The service received from this garage has been absolutely appalling.

They had our van for weeks. I was told multiple times that things were happening when they were not. We have been delayed day after day!

I asked multiple times IS IT FINE TO DRIVE as the whole purpose of us putting our van in there was to ensure we could drive it off!! Our ONE instruction was. Hi, please can you make sure that our van is safe and can drive. They managed to do NEITHER??

We were NEVER told to get an MOT and they didn’t even at any point try and drive it to see if it was actually safe. We said over and over again that we just wanted to know that it drives properly. We didn’t care about anything else! So we’ve been messed around, given wrong dates and times and strung along all to pay £600 + for NOTHING and then get a van back that can’t go in to fourth gear or reverse. They also accused us of having not paid an invoice which had been paid.

The worst part about this is the fact they did not even attempt to apologise at any point. The horrendous/ unprofessional attitude of the girl on the desk was just disgusting. I can only imagine she was a family member because no one else would have the audacity to speak in such a manner at their place of work. She even said to us 'haha good luck driving this away in this when it doesn't even go in to fourth gear' AS IF SHE WAS PROUD that they hadn't manage to do what was asked of them and FIX the van?? We ended up in an argument due to her attitude. They even asked us why we bought it, like it's their business?

Stay away from these cowboys!!!!!

MOT & Service

As far as I am aware the MOT & Service on my car were carried out professionally. I just have a few querks, the overall cost was greater than expected, a full breakdown invoice of the costs would be helpful. Their friendly receptionist did call to inform me of additional works required to complete the service and asked my consent for these to be carried out, this would now result in my car not being ready until the next day. The driver's floormat although it was covered with a paper protector was still covered in black streaks. The driver that collected and returned my car was friendly and polite.
