Useless and not to be trusted

Useless . Having lived in this house for 20 years and seeing many association managements come and go it appears Metropolitan actively goes out its way not to ensure they do the best for their residents and properties . No hot water for 2 days and still. I promise of being fixed until a week away . They can break their contract but heaven forbid I do , they do not look after us

A consistent pattern of behaviour runs…

A consistent pattern of behaviour runs throughout these registered providers (G15 group), Complaints of flagrant breaches of tenancy, neglect, deliberate housing disrepair, unaddressed antisocial behaviour etc. Understand this; the government incentivises these providers if they achieve x number of vacant possessions every year. If you are being maltreated it is because your home is on their vacant properties agenda, and they are using these Rachman tactics to force you to leave.

The worst housing company going

The worst housing company going. Literally do not care about the residents at all. Only care about money. They dont care about mental health or anything. Ridiculous company. Would give 1 star if i could. I wish i could move! Soon i will have to as wont be able to afford as they keep adding extra changes with no explanation.

Disgraceful

Disgraceful, lazy, uncaring and thats only to mention a few things. The wall next to my front door is falling down and at times preventing me from opening my front door. I have explained over and over, even mentioned the health and safetly aspects of the problem should there be a fire. I was asked, do i have a balcony. I told the person I would rather have the option of using my front door in the event of an emergency. For the past year i have made untold complaints and all that happens is they send someone round to have a look, they disappear and the cycle starts again. Also had my flooring taken up, floor tile removed down to the concrete floor, and thrown away by them after an asbestos check. When the surveyor turned up, he said he only meant for them to replace broken tiles. My flooring was never replaced to this day, and was offered £90 for all the inconvenience. I politely told them where to put the money. MTVH are a bunch of theives. Quick to take your rent money every week/month, which has gone up again. They need to be named and shamed

Incompetent

Put in 6 complaints . none dealt with . Friday sent a nasty letter saying they were going to bill me £1000 for not having a gas check . also lied about sending 2 letters before . got gas check on time . they have not turned up for appointments . they did email too say they were to give me £30 for missed appointment . this was November . still waiting . they say they will give a basic reply to complaints within 2 days . more lies. I must add I had to retire early due to I'll health . they just don't care . and I believe they don't know how to run a customer services .

Appalling

Appalling, uncaring, disrespectful.
Couldn't care less attitude. Ignore emails, phone calls. Plead ignorance to previous requests. I could go on but Tenants will know exactly how I feel. I have spoken to numerous tenants and no one has a good word to say about them.

Breaching the Landlord and Tenancy Act 1985

So far been left without heating and hot water for 38 hours, all laws broken no one would come out with emergency heaters either. No one has been in touch and when I did call they didn't care. Sent an email but by judging by these reviews I probably won't get a reply.

Have had a bad leak come through my bathroom ceiling from the flat above that has resulted in mould holes and disgusting smell.
This has been going on for months they have now said we will have to wait until April before they can pull it right. I am thinking of speaking to a solicitor as not only is this unhygenic but very stressful. They have put the rent up but do not care about their tenants.

Should be named and shamed!

Useless company full stop.

Having an infestation in the property, i was made to leave and live at friends houses as it become to much to deal with.... they promised to get the infestation under control never did.
I was left with no choice but to give up my tenancy as over a year on and still nothing got resolved.
I am not giving up the fight for justice THEY WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH WHAT ME AND MY FAMILY HAD TO DEAL WITH.
My children's mental health is still suffering and for that reason they should be named and shamed!!
To potential Future residents, stay clear, unless you want to live a very painful life.

A truly despicable company

A truly despicable company. Do not be fooled by their ‘charitable’ outward image - a wolf in sheep’s clothing is a fitting analogy.

I’ve experienced first hand the utter displeasure of dealing with their arrogant, egotistical, lazy staff time and time again when reporting the seemingly endless issues that have arisen since purchasing my new flat - I have never experienced such systemic incompetence within a business.

Metropolitan are simply not fit for purpose and should cease operating with immediate effect for the sake of their residents and other unsuspecting first time buyers like myself looking to get on the ladder.

My advice to you is AVOID their new So Resi developments at all costs. Not only are the the buildings themselves riddled with defects, but you will receive nothing but acrimony from metropolitan when trying to do the right thing and make good of your property.

Metropolitan continue to proudly pump out low quality/unsafe housing with premium price tags. Do not be taken in by the glossy marketing selling you these hovels.

It will only be a matter of time before these people are exposed for what they really are; degenerate crooks taking advantage of innocent buyers at every given opportunity. AVOID.

and face financial ruin trying to make good

Metropolitan is a company rotten to it's very core

This company is rotten to its very core, please avoid at all costs.
In my time in one of their properties, rather than enjoying my home I spent the entire time reporting repairs which didn't happen, so became complaints which I had to chase endlessly because the complaint system never works.
I attended meetings with all levels of staff who ooze arrogance and promise help which will never transpire.
Even with the CEO and my MP involved, nothing was achieved.
The frustration of dealing with them will drive you insane as chasing up complaints, repairs and checking services charges for errors becomes a full time job.
Avoid like the very plague, especially if you value your mental health.

Completely awful!

If I could advise anyone thinking of buying a property through SO RESI or METROPOLITAN I would tell you to stay clear!! From sales to after care it has been horrendous, so much has happened I don’t even know where to start.
Irandeep, Dani brace, Andrew Johnson to name a few have been completely unhelpful, rude, and sometimes argumentative. My emails are ignored and never replied to, phone calls do not get returned, they quite frankly do not care once you have exchanged and completed. I know I’m not the only one that is treated this way, everyone that lives in our block (there’s only 7 flats) have been given the same treatment, seems it’s just how they operate and deem this acceptable.
I have been passed through so many people because know one has a answer to any of my questions.
No snags have been done, nor acknowledged. The communal areas of the flat are not cleaned or maintained as stated in our contracts yet we still pay for these services.
I still do not know what car park space is ours, as they have not been numbered.
I have more recently found mould in my bedroom where my partner, myself and my 5 week old son sleep and was told this wasn’t an issue!
I wish we never bought through this company and that they didn’t own the other half of our property.
Again stay clear do not use them!

I would like to complain about my sisters housing metropolitan housing officer Dione Thorpe she lives on the ground floor flat and she is being told by her housing officer to cut keys for the tenants to use her garden she has sole use off the garden front and rear on her tenancy as sole use. is this allowed by the housing she suffers from depression and health issues how can a housing officer tell her to cut keys for the tenant who lives on the first floor and has his own balcony . I’ve never herd off such a case.her bedroom is situated at the garden and she has been told to give keys out would you sleep easy would you feel safe living like this I would like to here what the housing has to say regarding this matter she is so upset and depressed has her tenancy been charged.we have not received any letters in writing. please read what the housing officer is asking her to do. It’s mental bullying on a I’ll person. And further more there is a virus called coronavirus and she is being told to cut keys I’m so shocked

Update contacted the complaints at metropolitan housing no reply from them. As I said they do not care about there tenants just the rent

Fab service!

I called metropolitan Thames valley this evening due to a leaking ceiling while having a bath. I was told that I’d have someone out to us within 4 hours which was great. Within 5 minutes of ending the call, an engineer was knocking at the door and resolved the issue quickly. Really impressed with their service especially in this difficult time! Thank you for being so efficient!

Awful housing association

Awful housing association, stay clear if you can.

No customer service, repeated emails and calls with no contact back, spoken to like I’m an idiot and they have no care to any complaint made. This includes ASB from my neighbour including trespassing and criminal damage to my property - I get told it’s not their problem (despite my neighbour being a social tenant of theirs!)Then they wonder why I am defensive and angry every time I have to call them.

Slum landlord, do not buy or rent from them.

Think carefully and stay away if you can

As everyone else has said, one star is generous.
I owned my house in full but paid service charge to MTVH for the communal estate.
I sold and moved out months ago and was in credit by a lot yet getting the refund is impossible. No one there gives a monkeys. I am so happy that I no longer have any kind of relationship with them and would warn others to stay well away. I’ve now approached the housing ombudsman and logged complaints but I’m not hopeful. The company are truly awful, how they are still in business is a miracle
