On my second order

On my second order. I have 3 big dogs and they love the smoked bones. We only give the to them a few times a week and only allow them to keep them for about 45 min, this way they see them as special treats.

Orders arrive in less than a week. I’m always getting special offered and look forward to trying the 25 new sticks they are adding.

We love Mike and Sammy’s.

Bones ground down my GSD teeth

We used to have the bones and jerky treats on subscription. My German Shepherd wouldn't get more than one bone or less a week. Do not get smoked bones! They completely ground down my dogs teeth. I also never earned my free order, because you will only receive it if you stay on the subscription plan without any gaps. I placed a total of 10 orders and they wouldn't budge on their policy to get the 5th order free. I'm giving 2 Stars instead of 1 because of the jerky treats. My dog absolutely loves those.

We have placed at least 8 orders from…

We have placed at least 8 orders from Mika & Sammy’s since they first opened. Anytime we had an issue, I’d email reply and Eric would reply. Once was about a discount code that didn’t go through. This time we ordered a 5 pack of medium smoked bones, 10 pack of pig ears, 10 or more bulky sticks etc - it was a large Christmas order. I waited a long time to provide feedback that the bones went bad because we didn’t give them to our dog right away. Our dog got sick and the pig ears were dripping in rancid oil from being enclosed in a bag. I tried to give these people feedback and ask for some compensation and because I am not willing to go through my emails and find the exact email that I sent it to, they won’t offer any compensation. Not even a discount. Their follow up is also bad. They called me ONE time to try and address this and left a message. I wasn’t available. I’m a busy business owner too. So finally I called back today and Tiffany insisted that I find the email that I responded to when I originally complained. My emails go back to 2023 and their email was eric@mikaandsammy and it has now changed. How can they not know this?
How can they not trust that I would not be calling them if there wasn’t an issue?
How can they not go back and see the history and know that they’ve grown and changed emails?
And yet they want me to jump through hoops to find the email before they will offer any compensation.
Not doing it. It’s a sad way to do business.
So Mika and Sammy will not be getting anymore orders from us. Sadly, we’ve told many people about them, but they fail to tell you that the bones should be frozen if not consumed soon - they have it in writing in a tiny place where you can’t find it, and they put large pig ears inside of an enclosed bag that sweats so they went bad - the oil was rancid. I wasn’t asking them to compensate me on my vet bill - just the bones and pig ears. Or at least discount.
If you add up what we’ve spent, it’s probably $500 or more. Erik used to be so personal. Now that service is gone!
Order from Al Cabones - it’s a much better product with great service. They sell to selected boutiques

Not Worth the Money

As with most of the reviews, my dog loved it but only for an hour or so after the fun stuff was gone and then no interest. Not at all worth the money. Also it did take forever to ship.

Slow shipping/poor customer service

Ordered and received notification within 24 hrs that the UPS label was printed, but UPS hasn't gotten the shipment yet. Waited a week and still no change. Emailed their customer service and no reply. I began to wonder if I got scammed. After reading other reviews here, I see they are slow shippers and don't have great customer service. I'd have to agree.

My dogs love their product

My dogs love their product. However, there customer service is terrible. It takes a century for the order to arrive and in the meantime they send 4-5 emails on discounts for future products. If they spent lest time on emails and more time on product fullfillment, they would have happy dog parents. Automated shipping doesn't expedite things (although it should). I placed an order Thursday and had to call on Monday (despite authorizing them to charge an overnight ship fee, they did not respond). This is the third time I have had to call after placing an order so be patient after placing an order and allow a minimum of two to three weeks with free shipping as they have no other method of shipping.

They sent me molded treats! I sent a picture they said the green was parsley.
I sent another pic of the MOLD and they said “let me take care of that”. A month later I message them “where is my replacement” and they say sorry! We just refunded you. You can rebuy. lol what a joke. Don’t give this company any money!

The WORST BUSINESS I've ever dealt…

The WORST BUSINESS I've ever dealt with. Ordered the small bones for my 2 small dogs. They arrived in a box with brown paper stuffed around them, nothing else. When I opened the box the stench of liquid smoke overtook my house. The "small "bones were so large only a huge dog would be able to chew on them. They were almost 1/2 the size of my dogs heads. When I put them down for my dogs neither would go near them...I tried everthing...they new better I suppose.
So I called the business, left a message... RESPONSE. Left a message on their Facebook page, NO RESPONSE. Send them an email, NO RESPONSE. Then yesterday, I received an email from the owner wanting me to leave a review. You can probably imagine what I wrote. These people are completely irresponsible and dishonest. There are many worthy companies you might want to give your business to.

Two of three bones I bought splintered!

Two of three bones splintered. I have a 60lb golden. The whole idea of paying so much is their guarantee that they won't splinter. Splintered bones can cause obstructions and significant damage to a dog.

They did splinter- and I sent them pictures. And still have not heard back from them. Not the mom and pop operational vibe they brag about, is it?

Excellent dog treat company

I don't know how someone wrote that their Chihuahua chipped pieces of the bone marrow from M&S. I ordered a 5 pack of the medium sized bones for my 56lb pit/lab mix and he's never splintered or chipped a single one. He had absolutely zero problems with them so much so that I was satisfied enough with the safety that I'm now a repeat customer. Their customer service is excellent. They usually take only 1 business day to answer email inquires. Yes, shipping does take little longer than most online retailers but I've never not had a package arrive. I've already placed 3-4 orders in the past year and they all arrived intact and as expected. Their prices match their quality. What applies to us as humans also applies to our dogs....cheap quality costs less and higher quality costs more so you get what you are willing to pay for. I have no complaints about M&S so I'm going to continue being their loyal customer.

Terrible NO concern for safety or company's 100% guarantee

Contacted them regarding safety concerns after every single bone chipped and had sharp shards come off after less than 2 hrs (one is a chihuahua, not a super aggressive chewer). Sent in pictures of every single bone as proof. Response summed up as "end of life, reuse and fill with peanut butter" I again responded with my account is new, bones chewed on for less than 2 hours and I'm concerned about the safety, bone shards can kill". I expect a chip here or there but literally every single bone had big chunks easily bitten off and left sharp edges behind. I couldn't take my eyes off my dogs while chewing on them. They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee (at the time my account was 2 months old, proving that these were not old bones my pups had been chewing on for a year). No solution offered and did NOT honor the company policy that is posted on their website. They just cancelled my account and notified me by email, "Your account has been cancelled". I consider this fraudulent business practices. I would not have purchased these expensive bones.

I wish I had read reviews prior to…

I wish I had read reviews prior to ordering. I ordered about $70 worth of bones to try it out. I was told 2-7 business days and I was ecstatic! I received a confirmation email following my order. After 14 business days, I emailed them asking when I would receive my order. My dog then unexpectedly passed away. I immediately emailed them to cancel the order. I received an email three days later saying my order had JUST been shipped and it would be an additional 2-7 business days. I emailed them immediately asking them again to cancel the order. I received the box a week ago which is now 2.5 months after my original order. I still have received zero response on how to return my unopened box. Zero customer service on their part.

Antlers

I recently purchased 3 of the large split antlers which are approx $71. The second day they started breaking apart and sharp pieces were coming off of them. I took them away from the dogs and contacted Mika&Sammy's. They requested a photo which I sent. No response from them aftr that. I would not recommend purchasing the antlers. Threw mine away.

I saw their ad on Facebook and decided to give it a try

I saw their ad on Facebook and decided to give them a try. My 2 dogs love to chew and are aggressive chewers. Both dogs, (Mastiff and German Shepherd) love the bones. I bought 8 of them and so far they are still working on the first one after 2 days. I saw reviews about splintering and have not seen that happening so far. As far as price they are a little higher than the competition but as far as I can tell they are a little higher in quality so the price seems justified. When my dogs have exhausted the supply I will likely buy more. For now we are fans of Mika & Sammy.

I gotta be honest

I gotta be honest, I was expecting much more. My eight month old golden retriever “puppy“, went through a medium size bone in less than an hour got all the good stuff of it now she doesn’t want it for the price I paid I expect much much more. These are really no different than any other bones out there.
They would be good if they were third of the price. I will not be ordering these again, unless the price comes down.
