Another good mixam experience
As I wished a simple design tool and avoid in design or infinity, for a rather simplistic concept, mixam online tool was great. Allowed to size my images exactly how I wanted (had done a previous run on a bw project). The difference here was the bw and colour mix for the personal album.
As a result the bw component of it has a bit of a cast, to be expected and that I seem to be the only one noticing!
Delivery through DHL was easy to follow and to rearrange. All good to me.

Poor Quality Prints
I’m honestly so disappointed with the business cards I received. The quality is nowhere near what I expected from a professional printing company.
The print is blurry in places, the detailing looks messy, and the borders/corners are badly printed and uneven. On top of that, some of the cards have visible marks/scuffs and the card stock itself looks poor quality. Overall they look cheap, damaged and badly finished rather than like a polished business product.
These were ordered for my business, so presentation matters massively, and I simply can’t hand these out to clients in this condition. It’s frustrating to have spent money on something that looks defective and unprofessional straight out of the box.
Really unhappy with the quality control here and I definitely wouldn’t have expected cards to arrive looking like this.

From our checks, the artwork supplied does appear to be blurry in places, which can affect the sharpness and overall finish once printed.
With borders and corners, there can also be slight movement during trimming. This is not unique to Mixam and is standard across the print industry, with movement of up to 3mm possible in either direction. Because of this, very tight borders or fine edge details can sometimes appear uneven after trimming.
We’re sorry if the resolution offered was not to your liking, but we have offered a generous discount so you can reorder with amended, clearer, and cleaner artwork. This should help achieve a much better result on a new print run?
Primary 7 yearbooks
We used Mixam to print 33 year books for our primary 7 leavers! I was able to upload my own design so easily and printing and shipping was done in a week! Kids loved them and we couldn’t be happier! Will definitely be using them again!

consistently late delivery
It has now been 5 days since the estimated delivery date and still no sign of the parcel. Tracking information says it’s scheduled for delivery on the 1st July, which was yesterday.
This is a time sensitive print, and a week after the estimated delivery date is too much.

There was a slight delay against the estimated despatch date, and unfortunately the courier was then unable to deliver on the first attempt, which added further time. We do appreciate how disappointing this can be, especially if the order is needed for a time sensitive project.
As noted on our shipping support page, all production and delivery dates are estimates. If an order is needed for a specific date, we always recommend letting us know right at the start, so we can monitor the progress more closely and advise where possible.

Problems uploading artwork
Artwork wouldn't upload. Called for support but no one there at the weekend. Emailed Saturday without reply by mid-morning Monday so called but all operators busy! Emailed again cancelling and used Instantprint where artwork uploaded without any issue!
I'm an existing Mixam customer but this isn't the first time I've had artwork issues that I don't get elsewhere and so enough is enough...

We’re sorry we were not able to take your call over the weekend. We do have a much smaller customer support team available at weekends, but we can see that we replied to your email on Monday.
As production would not have started until Monday anyway, waiting for our reply would not have caused any lost production time, and the estimated dates for the order would not have changed.
We’re sorry this caused so much upset, as we would have been happy to help resolve the upload issue for you. For future reference, our live chat is also available 24/7 and our AI agent may have been able to help with artwork upload questions outside of our main support hours.

Very happy with the A5 flyers I ordered. They came out beautifully. Delivery was very fast and reliable, although it would be nice to have a slower, more economical delivery option.

Printing errors caused by Mixam's AI upscale bleed
I ordered 8-page A4 concert programme booklets. However, without checking back with me, the Mixam team applied an AI upscale bleed to my files which resulted in a printing error affecting 7 of the 8 pages.
Despite explaining the print error and that I was now against a very tight deadline, no help was offered by Mixam other than a print credit, to get me the booklets that I needed. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this company.

Hi Alex, Thank you for your feedback, though we’re sorry to hear you feel this way.
Your files were supplied without the required bleed, which is needed to allow for safe trimming during production. As explained during the order confirmation process, if we can apply a fix, we will, rather than pausing the order and causing a delay, especially when a deadline is involved, such as your concert, so we applied a false bleed for you.
We’re sorry that you were unhappy with the result, but as soon as you contacted us, we offered to credit the order so that you could correct the files and place a new order. There was still time to do this before the date shown on your artwork, but you did not wish to amend and resupply the files.
We do also offer online design functions that customers can try if they are struggling to set their artwork up correctly. However, as your artwork was created in Canva, it is fairly straightforward to set the correct trim size and add your own bleed before exporting the files.
As we are a print service rather than a design service, we are limited in how much we can alter customer artwork without the correct files being provided. You have since requested a refund, and this has now been processed.
We are sorry this was not the outcome you had hoped for, and we do wish you all the best with your concert on 11th July.
Professionally Satisfied
I'm happy that a service representative got back in touch with me in order to discuss the possibility of printing, the best possible method for binding, and making sure that I could actually print a book at such a massive size. Delivery time was pretty fast too.
I am a little upset that I am in Japan, ordering from a company that is in Japan, however for some reason the service wouldn't leave my package at the door. Normally that usually happens when ordering overseas so might have to discuss shipping methods but, otherwise the book arrived in really good condition and they took care to make sure nothing happened to it during delivery. So I'm fairly satisfied!

Helpful, supportive and delivered a great product.
The team at Mixam were helpful and supportive at every stage. This was my first venture in to self publishing a book and I had many questions all of which were dealt with patiently. The finished product is great and has already attracted comments saying how good it looks. The order was delivered a few days early in perfect condition. A great experience overall. Your order was shipped slightly later than planned, but only by a matter of hours. Unfortunately, it also looks like the courier then took longer than the expected 1-day delivery service, which meant the order arrived on Friday instead of Wednesday.

Good service and product
The process is clear and easy to follow. I needed help with uploading the document, working on final layout, and proof-reading before printing, and the advisors were very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Books sent out to me on time and are of good quality. Would recommend using Mixam. The only thing I would suggest is that Mixam tries to print and deliver quicker than the 17 days it is now taking for my books to get to me.

We think the delivery time you mentioned may relate to your newer order, where the more economical 8 day production option was selected, along with the longer 5 day Royal Mail shipping service. Your previous order was selected as the faster 5 day production and 1 day shipping.
We also don’t print over the weekends, which can add to the overall turnaround depending on when the order is placed.
If you’re in a rush next time, we’d recommend sticking with the faster production and shipping options. We hope this helps, and thank you again for recommending us.

I'm knocking one point off because the upload portal/ software is awful. Terribly clunky, unintuitive and no photoshop templates. Address that and 5 stars all day!
