They offered to reimburse me for the return shipping, when I contacted them after they received the return, they reneged!!!
Then offered me a $200 credit. I didn’t want the credit because original purchase was so cheap looking that I would never get another product from them😱

Initially, you requested a return and informed us that you no longer had the original packaging. As indicated in our return policy (https://mod-lighting.com/returns), all items must be returned in their original packaging, and customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Despite this, we made an exception to accept the return and offered you a store credit refund, which you initially agreed to.
Afterward, you requested that the refund be issued back to your original payment method instead of as store credit. To assist you further, we accommodated this request.
You also asked us to send you a box for the return as you did not have one that fit the light. We explained that, unfortunately, we do not provide boxes for returns.
Though the light was returned outside of the return window, we still accepted it and refunded you in full without charging a restocking fee, despite our policy.
Regarding your request for us to pay $200 for the return shipping and the box you purchased, we believe that refunding you in full and waiving the restocking fee already went above and beyond to make this process as smooth as possible.
Please understand that we have done our utmost to accommodate your requests and resolve this matter fairly. While we empathize with your frustration, we hope you can see that we have gone beyond our standard policies to assist you.

had a long chat with M from Customer Services and outlined that the website is very misleading a far as a 'Money Back Guarantee' is concerned and returns. she was apologetic and conscientious about making sure they did things courteously and respectfully for their clients. this could have been fixed without having to resort to this review but Mod Lighting still respect their clients unlike most others
Buyer beware!!!!!! They sent a faulty lighting fixture and not what I ordered plus it was a piece of plastic garbage for nearly $400. They have a 30 day money back guarantee but DO NOT BE FOOLED. they apply a ' facility fee' plus you have to pay to send back. They are trying to extort $100 from me for a piece of rubbish.

Faulty Diana pendant - issue resolved after a week

Initially I was very pleased with the user interface of the website, the wide range of options for lighting and the pricing compared to other companies. The Diana pendants are very beautiful, but upon installation, we noticed a fault with one of the two DIANA pendant lights we ordered. Customer service replied the next day to discuss a replacement but I didn’t hear back until I chased them 5 times via email - after no responses, I left a negative review on their website and on trust pilot. I then received a call from a customer service lady who informed me there was a glitch in the system and my emails were not being received? They have now been in touch to send a replacement for the pendant so I am awaiting delivery. It’s a shame I had to waste time chasing but overall I’m happy to have had the situation dealt with. I just hoping the new lights are functional and there’s no issues.

Good customer service, although the light we chose was disappointing
We are building a house and looking for modern looking outside lights, which are difficult to find (especially ones offered in different sizes). I ordered the smallest 12" size of the Haylen LED light to see and feel how well it was constructed before ordering the rest of the lights we needed. The light was shipped from Hong Kong and was not even packaged in a box, but rather in several pieces of styrofoam and a lot of tape. Even though the fixture was $90, it felt very cheap. While the light was ultimately disappointing, Mod Lighting was extremely responsive and made sure I received a full refund in a timely manner.

Do your research before you buy
Do your research before you buy! Lights ship directly from china. You are sent a tracking link immediately with a delivery date that makes you think you are getting the lights within a couple days, mine said delivery yesterday but tracking shows they are still in china. If you search the US address they post it’s an empty field. Look in Reddit for the real reviews. I found the post after I ordered them. I think I’ve sent 6 emails and no resolution. I called and got 1 person on the phone but all he had was excuses and no help. Really good scam with a nice website but terrible customer service.
Update, still in china. Company says “senior team member” will reach out and that hasn’t happened. Stay away!

Upon checking, we can confirm that your order was successfully delivered on Oct. 14, 2024. To clarify, we have warehouses in North America (New York) and Asia (Shenzhen & Hong Kong), which allow us to ensure efficient shipping and delivery to customers worldwide. While some orders are shipped from our facilities in Asia, our Shipping Policy states that all orders are processed within 2-4 business days. The estimated delivery time is 2-7 business days, depending on the shipping method, product(s), and your location.
In some cases, especially if you have ordered multiple fixtures, they may ship in separate boxes from different locations. We sincerely apologize for any confusion caused by the tracking information.

Deficient Product - No Customer Service
I ordered 5 items from MOD Lighting;
Haylen Outdoor LED Wall Lights. Also purchased a full Warranty in case of an issue in transport or a deficient product.
One of the products was deficient.
I contacted MOD Lighting. I sent deficient product photos. Only After 2 MONTHS, after following up with them etc., they suggested to replace an internal part stating that it MAY resolve the issue.
I suggested them to do it themselves. NO RESPONSE.
MOD Lighting failed to provide an acceptable solution. Warranty is another SCAM.
Very disappointing experience.
I will NEVER buy a product from this company.

After I wrote my initial comment, they started calling, tried to record the call and emailed me to remove this comment. Harassment. NO WAY.
People should know until this company start to care about their clients after selling a product.
Only after I published my comment at Trust Pilot they acted. Now they claim the delay for sending replacement is due to my late address confirmation. I don't know who believes that.
STAY AWAY from false accusations and harassment.

Aurelius Light Fixtures
We ordered the Aurelius large double layer jet black chandelier and matching sconces for our new lake home. They are beautiful in the setting with its high ceilings and white walls. No surprises, everything was well packaged, and our electricians had no difficulty installing the pieces. The sconces are designed to be hung horizontally, but we wanted them to be vertical, and our electricians figured out how to do that with a couple of extra screws in each. If you love modern, these are quite striking pieces. I called today to request a copy of our invoice, and they emailed it today!

Haylen lights are a game changer
