I ordered an item from Mode Mila in October which arrived damaged on receipt. The item was returned promptly in the same condition it was received and was not used or mishandled.
I was disappointed by the response suggesting the damage may have been caused by my daughter, despite the fact the damage was present at the time of opening and the return was made immediately. Placing responsibility on a minor in these circumstances felt inappropriate and unreasonable.
Under Australian Consumer Law, items that arrive damaged constitute a major failure and are entitled to a full refund, including return postage. I clearly requested this and referenced both ACL and the store’s own return policy.
Unfortunately, I have not received a response to my follow-up email, and the matter remains unresolved.
I am sharing this experience so other customers are aware and hope Mode Mila improves how legitimate damaged-on-arrival issues are handled.
